I am an old dude. I graduated from high school in 1979 in Florida. We had what was called GRAD night at Disneyworld. Open only to seniors from 6pm till 6 am. The bands were KC and the Sunshine band, Earth Wind and Fire, Peaches and Herb, and Gene Cotton. WHAT a night!!!!!
I was never a big fan of EWF, but I saw them 2 years ago at Bethel Woods, near where I live. I was a concert with them and Santana later. They were great. Now I'm a fan.
I just saw EWF and Chicago at Jones Beach Theater in Wantagh, New York last night. The concert was great especially when both groups jammed together at the end. You will love it!
Hi Britt, love your reactions. EWF is one of the most influential BANDS of all time. They fused R&B, Funk, Soul, Jazz, World music, etc. and somehow still made it commercially viable. They were founded by the late, great Maurice White, who was the heart and soul of the band. The "guitarist" is Verdine White, bassist extraordinaire and brother to Maurice. His bass lines were one of the driving forces behind EWF's funk and always got peeps on the dance floor. Bad man. Legendary musicians all tho... horns, percussionists, singers, etc. Incredible songs and arrangements. As a young musician, they were one of the many bands that I studied and learned from. Most of the public knows their greatest hits but the really early stuff is amazing too, Devotion is still one of my favorite ballads to this day. Thank you for honoring music royalty and hopefully exposing them to a whole new generation.
Ha, girl - there are about 20 members of EWF... lol.. the core members included lead singer Maurice White, his brother Verdine on bass (my very favorite!).. and a couple of others... but what an amazing group... including all the brass, percussion and dancing... appreciate your reaction!
Awesome! My favorite song of theirs is Let's Groove! You're a great singer! You sound like you should be part of The Emotions, they're the females who were singing Boogie Wonderland
Lol. This was halfway to karaoke, Britt. Maybe on special occasions you should go full speed ahead and give us some Britt cover versions 🎉 Also, if you fancy reacting to a song that sampled "Boogie Wonderland", you could check out the acid house tune, "I'm Alive" by Stretch & Vern
C’mon…..we all know Ralph Johnson is that one original member who does jack squat. Barely shows up for the recording sessions since 2000. Like the Chicago horns, not even on the albums?!?
Sept 2nd, 1978, I took my Bday money and bought their Greatest Hits Album. (4th album I ever bought with my own money) Being 12, of course, September was my favorite song on it.
I've always loved EW&F. I disagree with your commenter. It's not the looks it's about the legendary group and their ability to bring their songs to us. However, there are a very few that can't sing exactly the same, but when you get older, voices change. Either way, their music will continue as long as the younger group of people truly love music and can still can shake a leg. They need to bring this style of music back. Love your channel. Thanks for the memories.🎶🎧🎤🫶👍💚
Absolutely love your videos! What did you know Marty Robbins El Paso is a trilogy song? If you didn't, the next song is actually called feleena And the last song is called El. Paso city. Definitely you have to check those out
Love Earth,Wind and Fire. I would like to make a couple of suggestions. First, Stomp by the Brothers Johnson. Great party song!!! You should also check out the group Raydio and the song You cant change that. They deserve to be inducted into the PDC.
Saw them about 15 years ago on Maui. Phenomenal show. And you're right about modern music (most of it anyway). It's generic and soulless. Written and/or produced using the same few computer programs. No longer "inspired by" previous musicians or building on what came before, just blatantly ripping them off. I remember the first time somebody played Janelle Monae for me and was raving about it. I was like, "Have you seriously never heard Betty Davis or Prince? Because this is just weak versions of them?" How many dozens of white dudes wrote Beyonce's generic as hell sounding "Lemonade" album about being a Black woman? How do Ed Sheeran, Ariana Grande, Lizzo, Harry Styles, Michael Buble, Cardi B, Sabrina Carpenter, Drake, and Taylor Swift even have careers?
Hey Brittany. It’s me. Do you notice how aged music makes you smile and move your body ? Can you say today’s music and entertainments is age appropriate?
Hey Britt and folks. I will never - never be negative. I sometimes as an old white dude make a suggestion and get if you don’t care or don’t see it or tell me to F off. I (we) can only see almost nothing but your right arm and dolly poster. Can’t even come close to seeing the video. And I get why - sort of but other reactors offer and allow a peek. So no clue why you can’t. And I’ve tried. Just saying. Be well.
YOU LIKE ALAN JACKSON- BE FIRST TO REACT TO A LITLLE KNOWN SONG OF HIS- "BLUE RIDE MOUNNTAIN SONG". AND IF YOU WANT A GREAT JOHN DENVER SONG- "WHAT ARE WE MAKING WEAPONS FOR- LET US BEGIN" HE SAID THIS WAS HIS BEST WORK EVER. THANKS - AL SOUTH CAROLINA
Oh yeah oh yeah Earth wind & fire what can I say That's that's some have some good s*** I had it around four track which was before 8-track which was before it could set I know I'm 55 I got I got a couple grandkids I don't really see him even though I'd like to but anyway Earth wind & fire is a great s*** I remember
I have NO idea why anyone would watch this older man version of Earth Wind and Fire. Com on....watch the original guys..not REALLY Earth Wind and Fire without Maurice White.

One of my fave groups. I was around when they first became popular. One of the best disco bands of the time.
They're a great band. Feels like they're always a fun time.
I was never a big fan of EWF, but I saw them 2 years ago at Bethel Woods, near where I live. I was a concert with them and Santana later. They were great. Now I'm a fan.
the bass player is Verdine White brother of Maurice White the Singer and Fred White the drummer who are both deceased.
Oh, yeah - I LOVE Verdine... he is super-cool on that bass, while high-energy dancing and singing... my favorite!
This was what got people movin and grovin. STILL DOES. My husband and I still dance to them in the kitchen.
Anyone who disrespects Earth Wind & Fire around me, their opinion on music is permanently set to mute.
Early music ages like a fine wine!!!!❤❤❤
Can't wait to them with Chicago in August
I just saw EWF and Chicago at Jones Beach Theater in Wantagh, New York last night. The concert was great especially when both groups jammed together at the end. You will love it!

Best time ever when we lived !! in the Disco !
Earth Wind and Fire (aka The Elements) is the entire band not just the vocalist.
I’m literally moving on the first note of every one of their songs! If this were a ball game….Happiness:1 Sadness:0
Just saw Earth, Wind & Fire end of last year. They opened for Lionel Richie, and it was a great show!
Ha, girl - there are about 20 members of EWF... lol.. the core members included lead singer Maurice White, his brother Verdine on bass (my very favorite!).. and a couple of others... but what an amazing group... including all the brass, percussion and dancing... appreciate your reaction!
Such an iconic group!! Fabulous!! 😅
The best!
There were 10 members of the group. There may have only been 3 or 4 singers, but the rest were instrumentalists.
Awesome! My favorite song of theirs is Let's Groove! You're a great singer! You sound like you should be part of The Emotions, they're the females who were singing Boogie Wonderland
Going to go see EW&F along with Chicago in early September! Can't wait!!!
You’re so lucky!!
This performance was from The Voice.
I remember dancing in the clubs in the 70s to their music. They were the soundtrack of our lives. Check out ""After the Love has Gone."
I’ll check it!
1977 in Richmond. Love them!
Lol. This was halfway to karaoke, Britt. Maybe on special occasions you should go full speed ahead and give us some Britt cover versions 🎉

It was a sad day when they killed disco. That was the days of groove. Brings back good memories.
Yes Maam!!! Love EWT!!!
EWF had at times more than a dozen members. New would join as others left. The 3 original members inherited the band after the owner passed away.
C’mon…..we all know Ralph Johnson is that one original member who does jack squat. Barely shows up for the recording sessions since 2000. Like the Chicago horns, not even on the albums?!?
EWF seamlessly joined the 50's , 60's and 70's music vibe . Great group .
Sept 2nd, 1978, I took my Bday money and bought their Greatest Hits Album. (4th album I ever bought with my own money)
Being 12, of course, September was my favorite song on it.
I liked it even better because it references my actual B-day!
@@vampfashions you win on that one. 😁
I'm trippin you hit us with the "What's Happening", "Out of Sight", and "DyNoMite".........spot on.........GO DAWGS!
If you want to hear a great album, listen to their album All N' All.

Saw them live in new orleans at the jazz & heritage festival (pre-katrina) after maceo parker opened.

EWF is something like 10 people. Maybe more at times.
Now you know three people with 21 Sept B-days, it's been mine for decades now lol
Should check out the covers of these and other songs by Leonid and Friends.

Hey Brittany. It’s me. Do you notice how aged music makes you smile and move your body ? Can you say today’s music and entertainments is age appropriate?
I thought there were like 10 people in EWF.
Earth, Wind, and Fire was a big deal when I was a teenager in the 70"s.

That is not Carson Daly he wasn't even born yet barely
I have NO idea why anyone would watch this older man version of Earth Wind and Fire. Com on....watch the original guys..not REALLY Earth Wind and Fire without Maurice White.
You don't have to talk through the whole performance
I wish I could have enjoyed their show too but I didn't hear one of their songs because you wouldn't let me. Thanks for that
She reacts to songs. That's what she does! If you want to listen to the songs without commentary, watch the music video
That was an annoying reaction .
But i understand
