    I almost listened to this on Audible and I'm so glad I didn't. I had just discovered your videos yesterday and just finished it this morning. It was fantastic. I was so immersed and wrapped up in the whole thing. The sound really added so much and complimented the story. It's sad, cause now I wish all audiobooks to be like this. Great job, man. Thank you so much!

      @@Edward-gi7yp oh just so you know there is a prologue that I missed during my reading. My copy of the book had it removed for some reason.

      Thanks very much! I don't do it professionally. In fact this is my first time doing an audiobook but I certainly enjoyed it. Thanks for watching

      Hey thanks very much! I made it as a replacement for the original audiobook because I can't stand when narrators don't inflect at all. Wanted to make it feel as close to a miniseries as possible.

    This book, this audiobook above all, is pure gold. This saga is so huge and beautiful, so detailed in lore and this book is a plus. I'll never can thank you enough for making this videos. PS Who knows why the original author didn't talk about the Minerva's Dan, it's an undderstimated Rapture's part, but is so nice to play and it has a ton of other lore to tell, what a pity.

    Why didn't you finish the end? Feel bad for anyone who wasn't reading along with it n has no idea about the ending bit. And I also thought it was strange how you would randomly change so many words/rephrase things super slightly lol. Regardless this was awesome n the voices/added sounds made the book wayyy more fun than just reading normally!

    • @RivetingMaterial
      @RivetingMaterial  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for watching. What do you mean ending bit? That was the end of my copy of the book lol

    • @RivetingMaterial
      @RivetingMaterial  ปีที่แล้ว

      And yeah the slight rephrasing was typically involuntary. When I'm reading I have to choose between getting every word exactly right and reading a little robotically or letting it flow and occasionally making little edits for the sake of it sounding natural. Some things look better on paper but feel more awkward spoken

      Woahhh weird. I just pulled up another copy... Can't believe I didn't see that last bit. Damn... Lol that sucks I didn't intend to cut it short I just used a PDF copy for easy of reading and it ended there....

    • @DatHombre
      @DatHombre ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@RivetingMaterial haha yeah I figured the rephrasing was involuntary since it was so slight, was just curious about it! And yeah that's too bad haha, it ended so abruptly that I'm sure a bunch of people were just like ".. Really?? No closure!??" lol. Oh well!
      Anyway again, absolutely superb job on the reading dude, the voices were just perfect- honestly couldn't believe my ears hearing how well you nailed them all of them, from Frank Fontaine's really deep voice to all of the different accents! And the part with Sander Cohen (at least I'm pretty sure this is the part- mighta actually been the Steinman part) where you added the woman screaming in the background as you continued on reading added so much to the eeriness! Definitely gonna recommend it to my friends
