Dear God, I pray to the person who is reading this. I know its not accidents that they read it. I pray that you keep themself safe always and their family. May you gave them peace. In Jesus' name I pray Amen. 🙏
I read so many of your comments below and just cried reading them... Yes I am 58 and remember this beuatiful amazing love song... Brings back great memories.... As hard as it is sometimes we have no other choice but to change with the times... Nothing is ever permanent in life, life is always changing and forcing us to change with it. That is why its very important to love the friends and family in your life today and enjoy the present moment because one day it will all be a distant memory... Many people wait until its to late and then regrette not spending enough time with the people they love etc... I have lost allot of beautiful people in my life, many died or made their transitions very early in life... Today i don't waste a bloody minute not being grateful for every waking moment i have here. Life is truly a gift, your close fiends and family are also gifts, don't waste another bloody second of it, embrace them and keep them close and live life to the fullest and in the present moment because today, will also eventually be a yesteryear... ❤
I played this song for a girl I was dating 3 months later we got married and 38 years later we are still married and happy as ever, she is my soulmate without her I would I would be lost forever
Hey, I want to remind you that God loves us. His miracles are real. Just trust Him and always pray. If you are experiencing depression, anxiety, lack of finances, or anything that makes you doubt yourself, just remember that we have God and he will provide for our needs. Nothing is impossible for God; just keep your faith in Him and don't stop praying Matthew 5:44: “But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.”
❤ god love us all. ❤ thank you for this message i feel calm. True i have Anxiety and Depression and financial problems I always pray to god and he is listening to us to our prayers amen 🙏
So sorry for your loss! My wife of over 27 years passed away last year. Life can be so incredibly cruel! Still, we must carry on, for what I do not know!
Well, l see your message and believe me it was so sad to me , because this song its one of the most favorite , and l can feel your pain, even more ,l can hear this a lot of Time , a hundred time!!
I am 7 years in marriage. But hearing this song reminds me of my high school years 25 years ago.dancing with a good woman in our beloved Bicol region in ateneo de naga . I know she cannot remember me anymore. She came for the multiple encounter occasion and a native from Sorsogon, studying in Aquinas University and now University of Santo tomas Legazpi City.I remember her because I think she is a kind and good person.
As professional musicians, my best friend and I both played this as the first song every time we worked for over 20 years. It was just our “thing”. She passed away six months ago and I miss her like mad. I was recently standing in a shop and this song came on. I’m standing in line with tears just pouring down my face. I knew she was there with me.
This is beyond the shadow of a doubt the most beautiful love song EVER written. I always cry whenever I hear this song playing either out loud or in my mind because of how much I would give absolutely anything to be able to sing it to my Beautiful Wife Holly who passed a little over 2 years ago now, and I pray that when the time comes that I am again reunited with my Holly for Time and All Eternity, that Father in Heaven will see to it that this beautiful song will be playing for us as I am looking into her lovely eyes, and telling her "I Love You" over and over again, and never, ever, to be separated again forever.
@@tonyh4513 Thank You for your kind and very comforting words; what with Christmas in just a few days, I appreciate them all that much more. May Heavenly Father bless you please.
I know this song as a kid growing up & the movie Tootsie. My dad & mom has just separated. Years later, I found it & played it for my wife. She cried immediately, cuz she also remembers it. She just passed 1st of December. ...R.I.P. Baby and I will never love another!❤! 😙

This song came out in 1983, I never knew the artist. I was a teen then. The character Spinelli sang this at the Nurses Ball in 2016 or 2017 on GH. The actor did a great job.
Reminds me of my Mom!!!!I lost my Mother due to cancer in 2018.I remember watching Tootsie in the theater with my mom.I think of her everyday.I miss you Mom!!!!
How many people are in the same situation as I am, I was even surprised by the comments, I lost my mother to cancer too, she turned 2 months old, this song reminds me a lot, I cry when I hear it! It's a beautiful and sad song too. 😢 greetings, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
This was my parents wedding song. When my mom died years ago my dad sat and listened to this song on repeat and now every time I miss her a bit too much I put this song on. I got the best parents; they loved each other so much.
I wouldn't give up my time and place in life for anything, because I got to grow up with these types of songs and the talents that made it so worth while.
At 13 I believed there was someone for me. Now, at 57 a three times loser I have to just sit back and admire those who found "the one" I'm not bitter it just wasn't in the cards for me. So happy for all those who found happiness.
It might still be! My first wife of 19 years cheated on me and divorced me. In only a few months I have found a new woman that I already love. Maybe it's her for me, the rest of my life.
My husband and I were married for 25 years and then divorced for seven years, during which time I remarried and after two years that one died of cancer. Miraculously, my ex and I have reconnected, started dating and and now engaged to be re-married in two months. He just sent me this song last night. Anything is possible!!! ❤.
Being 51 now, this song brings back so many memories of my youth. Now that I've officially lost both of my parents (my dad just passed this year: April 24, 2024). I have tears in my eyes typing this. I know they are both together in a better place. However hearing this song, remembering the movie it was in when my folks took me to see Tootsie, remembering my mom and dad playing this 45 record on the stereo, or on cassette during trips.....it really brings back so many happy memories. However, tonight it hit me really hard that I'm going to miss my two bestest friends in the world, who also happened to be my parents. This song will always remind me of the bond you two had with each other. Being each other's soul mates. Mom always said its rare when you get to marry your best friend, and she said she got lucky when she met you, dad. High school sweethearts and were married for 54 years until mom passed in 2017. I know you both are together, and I can't wait for the day when I will be reunited with my family. I love mom and dad ❤.
Every single time I listen to this song I am transported to a distant past. A time of many magical memories of lovers long gone. How fast time has passed. So many relevant people I have met in my life. So many relationships, so many lovers, so many so important, some almost irrelevant now. Some for which the end was so sad, others for which there has never been an end. So much joy, so much pain and hurt all mixed up into one. My love... I still miss you. I still dream of you. I still love you. Does the love ever ends? Does the pain ever goes away? Will I ever forget you? Do I want to?
Everytime I hear this song it makes me teary and give me that feeling of missing someone and full of hopes "If I found the place would I recognize the face" I know someone but we're 1874 miles apart.
My husband and I will celebrate our 39th wedding anniversary on 10/12…we listened to this song last night and our eyes met and fell in love all over again! I love this man so deeply!❤❤❤
Remembered my suitor (Andy) A cute and shy guy he just gone he found out his rival a macho than him. Both not become my BF.They just my teens memories.Everytime i hear this song i remembered him
Many people are here because of romance, but I'm here because my mother used to sing this to me when I was young. I'm older now, and so is she, but songs like this always transports me back to a time when life was simpler.
I watched many sea birds & lovers go by & wondered what it took to find that someone special. Took me over 60 years to find it & & I finally found it on the other side of the world. This is our song too & played at our wedding exactly one year ago. Love isn't always on time.....(toto)
My father used to play this on a CD when I was a kid, and then I met someone online we became good friends and I like him more than that. He sent me a voice message and heard this song as a background music and we’re not talking anymore but this song reminds me of him. 😂
Can someone like this comment of mine? So that i could comeback here anytime. This song played last night (1/07) during our Thanksgiving Party and i was with this special girl i was admiring for the past few months and it was very Magical. I just want to remember that moment because it was as beautiful as she was, seeing her smile and her beautiful face. I wish that i could not forget that moment because i was too shy to admit to her that i admire her. Dear Lovely Lady, this is for you❤️🖤
Had a dear sweet college friend introduce me to Stephen. He was great, but she was better. Unfortunately, we never got together and married other folks and went our own separate ways. About 20 years later we reconnected, she married, me divorced, but we kept up our friendship. Then she had a series of cancers and eventually succumbed. But she was literally the best there ever was....
Ah, my heart. I used to listen to this masterpiece when I was a kid/younger. Late at night, just me and our radio. Some things have changed, but I'm still drowning in nostalgia.
These songs can give you a heart attack. It takes my breath away, I get anxious and run to my back yard to breath some fresh air. These songs bring back all those beautiful moments that I lived when I was young. Too bad life is only a breeze, a gentle flower that soon dies.
So happy for you two may nothing ever come between what god has brought together my soul mate is waiting for me to go get her to bring her back to me we’re apart as she moved away and I e become disabled no longer can drive or work so I can’t get us back together again but I have hope someday I’ll see her again
I love this song. It's written beautifully and soft spoken. I'm keeping it for my future husband. Even if I'm dead before I'm married, at least I'm content with saving this song for special one.
I first heard this song through a 1990 Hong Kong television series. It is integrated very well into the context of the drama. Then I found out it was the Tootsie soundtrack, which is a great piece of work. Even though I am a member of Generation Z, I feel many emotions when I listen to it. The lyrics are simple, easy to understand, and touch the emotions. I really like the songs of previous generations.

Well I dated my ex husband he was 19 I was 17 . I was in high school he said this is our song . We got married after dating 4 years. Married 8 years and then got divorced . Divorced in 1995 30 years later I still have a love for him. He remarried and I didn’t . You can always love that person , you just can’t go back.
Danced to this song the night I met my wife. We are celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary today! I had not really paid attention to the lyrics until that night. Last dance of the night and I was hooked. Always catches me off guard nowadays if I hear it on the radio.... good memories!
I still remember this was the theme song for the 1982 movie "Tootsie" starring Dustin Hoffman and Jessica Lange. The song never fades away. So romantic and haunting.❤
@blissfulredlife Yep.I remember "Tootsie" vividly and lovingly. I even managed to be late for a lecture by Sydney Pollack z'l (1983 in London?). When he died, I felt robbed.
Ive been from different relationship and been hearing this song.. but there is this particular person who keeps on playing this for me.. I dearly I aporeciate the message and the melody of this.. exactly how I appreciate anf fell in love for this person❤ Thank u .. sana magpakilalap ka na😅
When I was a kid listening to this song I couldn't understand why people in their teens and adults loved it so much but now that I am in my 30s and still unmarried I can completely understand why (sigh).
I do so miss him . We had a blast ! Thought i'd spend the rest of my life with him . GOD took him . he's in the lords arms now . GOD speed my love . I love you ...

.For young people my age, I may not have been born when this song was written, but there is a deep meaning that makes my eyes shed tears.
This is a classic. And, oh yes, brings up lost memories. Sadly, somehow, one needs to move on.

These songs can give you a heart attack. It takes my breath away, I get anxious and run to my back yard to breath some fresh air.
These songs bring back all those beautiful moments that I lived when I was young. Too bad life is only a breeze, a gentle flower that soon dies.
Poetic. Beautiful words, Tony.
This is a very beautiful song, and he sang it very beautifully! ❤
😢😢🎉🎉❤❤❤❤
So happy for you two may nothing ever come between what god has brought together my soul mate is waiting for me to go get her to bring her back to me we’re apart as she moved away and I e become disabled no longer can drive or work so I can’t get us back together again but I have hope someday I’ll see her again
I love this song. It's written beautifully and soft spoken. I'm keeping it for my future husband. Even if I'm dead before I'm married, at least I'm content with saving this song for special one.
I wanna go back to my college days... everytime i hear this... good old memories... i miss those happy times with my friends...
Sometimes the person you search for has been in front of you all the time.
I still love him and his music, I will never stop he is and was wonderful. He's a genius!!! So passive, quiet and beautiful!!!
Wow, the beauty and power of this song has not diminished in forty years. If anything, it's gotten more beautiful.
Oh my. This is always in my list of favorites. Just never grows old.

These songs were always so simple. Simple is more. Less is more.
Showtime brought me here ❤
im 21 years old and I can feel how amazing it is to fall in love in the 80s and 90s, sometimes I wish I was born on that era
It was amazing
I second that. It's serendipitous now looking back. It hurts me to know you won't get toe experience a time like it ever again. 😢
Preciosa, una auténtica delicia
Danced to this song the night I met my wife. We are celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary today! I had not really paid attention to the lyrics until that night. Last dance of the night and I was hooked. Always catches me off guard nowadays if I hear it on the radio.... good memories!
I still remember this was the theme song for the 1982 movie "Tootsie" starring Dustin Hoffman and Jessica Lange. The song never fades away. So romantic and haunting.❤
Omg..I remembered this song when I was a lil girl.I born 80'...I saw the movie on TV & don't know if this song so old.classic love song.
@blissfulredlife Yep.I remember "Tootsie" vividly and lovingly. I even managed to be late for a lecture by Sydney Pollack z'l (1983 in London?).
When he died, I felt robbed.
Charles Durning guy was hilarious.
Very competitive song category at the Oscars that year.

“Ive been passing time watching trains go by” it is too nostalgic and classic to be rendered by Stephen Bishop appropriately. RIP Marilyn Bergman and thank you for your contribution to the music world🙏
Best, timeless song ever. It's just magic. RIP Ms. Bergman.
