We just adopted a breeder release Corgi from the Amish and yes, I can attest they do not take good care of their dogs. She came to us severely underweight with hookworm and fleas. But we are happy to have given her a home and she is such a sweetheart!
Thanks for sharing this newsworthy information. After 25 years of rv ing my wife and I sold are rv. Just tired of the drama with reservations, maintenance, & drama. We had fun and adventures with laughter and memories. But now we just do cabins lot less stressful. Happy travels and enjoy.
Interesting that you were talking about the Amish dogs. Our recent rescue was an Amish breeding dog. We figure she’s had at least 6 and possibly 8 litters in her short 4 years of life. We’ve got her now and she’s got a little more weight and a ton more fun than when we got her in her emaciated condition. My wife cried when we picked her up. She was so small and worn out. I think she’s much happier with us now. We need to stop these puppy mills.
@@EndlessRVing Our rescue told us that this breeder usually calls them to let them know there will be a pile of “used” dogs left in a box as “trash” so they can be rescued in time. I guess it’s one small consolation.
Trader Joe's Indian Food Entrees are great too. I microwave the entrees, air fry the samosas, and grill in a pan the Garlic Naan with butter. It is like having a real eat out restaurant meal.
Love Release❤ also agree, the dollar stores sell poop bag 5 rolls for $1.25. Pick up after your dogs people, please. Hope you are adjusting to your empty nest.....it is a bittersweet milestone to be sure!
We are “releasers” and LOVE LOVE LOVE the stuff. It’s so nice to be able to pull in, set up and before the bugs get cooked on, I can spray it front of the coach and wipe it off and it’s clean and shiny. It’s awesome!
"home made" ice cream.....isn't that when you put the ingredients in a metal cylinder surrounded by ice inside a wooden bucket and then with a handle attached to the top of the cylinder turn the cylinder in the ice to make the ingredients form into "home made" ice cream?.....boy am I showing my age or what?!😁
We live in the Holmes County Amish area. Same issue with puppy mills and factory produced items at the stores and flea markets. The scenery can't be beat and there are still some small places to shop for locally made items.
Happy to see there are other whole food plant based, healthy eaters out there. We love it! So challenging on the road. It’s so ironic the buffet is our way to eat in a healthy manner as well out there. I see retirement is coming up, it’s well worth the wait, former LEO as well here, you won’t miss it at all😀
First, love his shirt in the beginning of the video! Love your earrings!! Sadly not shocked about he "home made" ice cream! Great video! Absolutely love your Channel! Be careful out there in the next few day!! Praying for our Country!
Great video, MJ and Izzy, camping in the fall is the best! 34 degrees - BRRRRR! Sigh..., being on a keto diet precludes us from many of the delicious foods you described. It doesn't, however, mean you can't ever indulge, it just means you have to limit forays into high carb treats only occasionally! Love seeing Bowser with you, he seems to enjoy the trips. I think my Samsung phone is bordering on being a museum piece, 5+ years old, but I probably won't replace it until it dies. Safe travels!
This was one of my favorite videos of yours to date- great job-fun content! We live in Chester County, PA and love the Lancaster County area, especially Bird-in-Hand. There is a nice BigRig -friendly campground there called Country Acres. Agreed there are a lot of things that the Amish do exceptionally well, but puppy mills are a disgrace and should be outlawed. The animals are a commodity and are never treated as pets…. and are thrown away or destroyed when they outlive their usefulness. As a pet rescuer/adopter for many years, I agree that sadly, these dogs are often sick, malnourished, fearful and unsocialized. Thank you for reminding people not to support these breeders. ❤

Just got back from our fall foliage trip on October 31st. Started in Texas on October 3rd. Our trip took us as far north as Lake Placid NY and all the way down to Fort Walton Beach Florida. Leaf color change all the way down to Florida and back to Texas. Next year we will make it to Maine to watch the color change.
Good evening MJ and Izzy. Great video. My parents and grandparents always took me to Lancaster as a kid. We used to eat at Miller's all the time. Have the two of you ever stayed at Shady Grove Campground in Pennsylvania. It is located about 10 minutes from Ephrata, PA. Our family has stayed there about 5 times this year because it isn't too far from Lancaster. Again great video and thanks for sharing.
NO!!! Lapp’s is our favorite ice cream in the area and we go every time we’re there. I never noticed the ingredients as we only get the hand scooped. Ugh…. So disappointing. Thanks for another great episode, though! Safe travels!
Izzy, a wide green stripe covered the right side of your video at one point. This could be a memory card or camera failing, you might want to check that.
Lancaster is my home town! Next time try either Lancaster Central Market in downtown Lancaster or Roots Auction in Manhiem! My favorite treat is Whoopie Pies from The Bird in Hand Bakery!
Lancaster County is a ripoff and tourist trap. I have family there and I lived there as a kid. I live in Amish country in Virginia. Take a trip to downtown Lancaster. It is one of the nastiest slums and is dangerous. When you're shopping, if it says "Amish made", that means run away because you're about to get ripped off. I do recommend the Dutch Apple theater in Lancaster. It is a dinner theater that has awesome food and very good plays.
There's a big list of things the Amish are good at, at the top of that list is "making money". In this case in particular situation however the reality is that neither you nor the Amish can sell "home made" foods without meeting a LONG list of government regulations. The Amish Pennsylvania Amish have had a big bunch of legal challenges lately for selling their farm products, especially meat, and dairy items without "paying the piper".
We just did a day trip to the same place yesterday. Millers was good but not great. There were busloads of people there but we got a table right away. Only issue was the check, they charged us for 5 when we were a party of 4 so had to wait for them to fix that. We did the Strasbury Railroad and that was a bit of a disappointment because its just a one way back and forth trip. Anyhoo, the rolling hills and idyllic farms were nice to view.
You didn't mention it, so I'll assume you didn't walk across the road (340) from Kitchen kettle to Stoltzfus Meats butcher shop deli. Amazing fresh local meats.
Haven’t been to Miller's in years. Since I live a couple miles from Shady Maple no reason to go anywhere else. Miller's is not the homestyle place it used to be, they are catering to the New York crowds that come in by the busloads to shop at the outlets. The Amish retailers that are in the touristy areas of the county import a lot if not most of there wares from elsewhere. If you want real Amish items you have to research the people that sell out of their house or have a store on their property. I don’t eat ice cream so I can’t help you with that.
If I see you at a campground I’ll definitely ask you to try it. The stuff that falls from the trees at my house, nothing gets it off. Along with the Florida Love bugs.
I love release!! Amazing cleaning my RV. I tried the lowest concentration in a spray bottle on my windows. It left a residue. Any tips for cleaning glass?
Love seeing your dog. He's so cute! Pitbulls are one of my favorite breeds & Rotty's! Sweater Izzy bought is very stylish, dig it. Flannel matches your hat and looks good brotha.Great video! Keep up the good work. USA Earrings are stylish and look good on you.
If you don’t mind driving a little further there’s really good vegan and vegetarian restaurants in downtown Lancaster. Roots is vegan and the menu changes weekly. Himalayan Curry and Grill is delicious also. Emma’s is popcorn homemade. It’s on the outskirts of Lancaster. My husband loves their caramel popcorn. Says it’s the best he’s ever had. The store has a wide variety of popcorn. I enjoyed reminiscing about Lancaster. We just went full time 5 months ago.
Have y'all thought about getting a Ninja Creami to make your own ice cream (assuming you have space in the RV)? You only need enough space in the freezer for a pint to a pint and a half.
Smorgasbord, buffet ?? We call them butt-fats !!! 😅, senior discounts, so fine, bluebell ice cream is good, and it's still hot down here, in the 80s. Ya'll keep up the fine videos

So sad about your ice cream experience. Next visit please look up Fox Meadows Creamery, locations in Ephrata and Leola. The Ephrata location is near Clay and the farm is behind the store. You can watch them making the ice cream in metal trays at the Ephrata location. The BEST! Also, next trip please explore Roots Market in Manheim on Tuesdays, or Green Dragon in Ephrata on Fridays! We love both Millers and Shady Maple. Thank you for visiting Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, my home. Safe travels!
My wife and I went to Bird in Hand and Intercourse when we were up there for the Hershey RV show. We went the Saturday after your guys Meet UP. Did y’all check out the Good Vibes store at the Kettle Market? I got a camping shirt with a little camper on it that says “we sleep around, Intercourse Pennsylvania”. I had to order it cause they were out of my size. It’s there most popular shirt😂. Waiting to get it in the mail. Love you guys and your videos! Keep up the good work!
MJ: we love candles, Izzy: ..you love candles….😂😂 same here my wife love candles, but me not so much, some candles smells can be overwhelming and I think I am a bit allergic since I start to sneeze. Love cauliflowers too. Instead of Walmart shopping do you also go to ALDI’s? They have great products and great prices. We love real home made food. At our last fall trip in the Northern part of Michigan I bought a Peach Jam with fruit, pectin (a gelling agent) and sugar as the only ingredients. It even said on the label it was Made in a home kitchen… just the old fashioned way.
Go drive up 7 in Connecticut! We aren't going to live in these bodies forever...so I don't stress too much about it...the only thing I avoid at all costs is gluten because it makes me miserable. I do try to eat healthfully, and also try to eat a wide variety of foods. But I could eat endlessly without repercussions, it would be ice cream.
Haven't stayed there but just down the road at Country Acres Campground was nice. You are right about the Amish faking some of the "home made items". I was in that area sitting on a rocker for sale at this store featuring Amish products. (they had them on the porch so you could test them) Low and behold I felt a sticker under the arm and looked at it and it said "made in China". For good ice cream in your travels look for Newport Creamery in the NE, Brickley's Ice Cream 322 Main St, Wakefield, RI and in North Texas Braum's Ice Cream & Dairy.
Thank you ✌️😁, I ❤ food. All kinds. 😊. I do wish it didn't have such bad results. Especially now that I'm in my late 50's. I'm not very active these days. However, things will be changing to a more physical environment 2026. Yay! Hope to see u.
I used to organize the Mid Atlantic Scooter rally in Lancaster, the largest in the east, you should check out Yoders buffet in New Holland (unlimited soft serve ice cream machine)not far from Shady Maple they were always very accommodating to all of us, great people. They also have a market and gift shop attached.
@@EndlessRVing Next time you come this way, there is a really cool 50's diner called Wimpy & Dee's in Honey Brook. Food is good and love the atmosphere. While there you can stop in to another little market right up the road called September Farm where they make their own cheese on site. Not sure about the ice cream ingredients 😄 but the rest of the market is good and they also have sandwiches that are really good.
Love your choice of stores to go too! Nice sale too for Izzy to get the flannel and the pull over. Nice earrings glad you said where you got them. Aw poor Bowser with him stepping in poop. With what you said about the home made ice cream. I think I will stick to my lactose and sugar free ice cream. It taste the same as with sugar. I love. They have a few different flavors. MJ you have Izzy trained well with making the bed! lol! He’s a good husband. I mean that one. What a nice park the Intercourse Park. I hear you on the pizza! I heard my home town Detroit style pizza. You two are so funny! I just got me iPhone 15 plus after having a 13 pro. Bowser looked all tuckered out. Great video! See you both soon! Safe travels.
@@EndlessRVing yes it is very good smaller amount choice but enough for you to get your veggies and non meat sides. It’s not out of a can stuff from Sysco. Really good food. We usually go earlier like 3pm to eat.
Homemade means you need to get a ice cream churn and make your own. IMO, "Big Food" is basically controlling FDA and other agencies that gives them the okay to put bad stuff that is in these highly processed products. These agencies are making it more and more difficult for Amish / Mennonite stores to make natural products. Release is probably a great product, but spending $160+ is prohibitive for many folks.
People don’t need to eat the products. It’s all in the labels. Stop buying them and companies will stop using them. Release is not $160 not sure where you are getting that number from

Thanks for the ice cream tip. Maybe there are Amish communities in China
@@EndlessRVing That's it Amish communities in China. 👍👍😁😁
Have you visited any of the Big creameries like Ben &Jerrys or Bluebell?
We like The Ridge or Anchors Down in Smokey mountains in the fall
Anchors Down. 👍 book in advance!
Check out the ingredients in Ensure that’s supposed to be a healthy meal replacement lol. Baby formula is worse!!!
We read ingredients in everything we eat. Ensure is not food it’s disgusting
Thank you ✌️😁,
I ❤ food. All kinds.
They also have a market and gift shop attached.
i use Release on everything. One of my best investments.
Awesome!!
Love Lancaster and Kitchen Kettle. Crazy you were right up the road from me.
You’re so lucky to live so close to all that great stuff!
Yes to those packaged dishes from Trader Joe's! And other great veg goodies.
Us old people love some ice cream we eat it almost every night before we go to bed we’re only 60😂😂😂
🤣 awesome
We have that same Beddy.
Try this place very great for Christmas time lots of parking.
Hope you two empty nesters had a rollicking good time at 17:38 (I couldn't resist). 😂
😂😂😂 I knew someone wouldn’t be able to help themselves!
Shady Maple smorgasbord is great on your birthday! Thats if they still do it. Free for the birthday person.
Shady Maple!!! We would always make our way there when we went to Amish country.
Awesome!
Thank you Sherri
Love those earrings!
@@marciacummings3720 thank you!
I noticed your exterior front windshield cover, please tell me about it. My wife what’s one. Thank you
Harry and Teresa
It’s called a Magna Shade
We have been to the kitchen kettle many times. We've eaten at Millers also but prefer Shady Maple, but we're meat eaters.
Thanks for sharing Roy.
Cake, pizza, pasta!
Perfect I need to buy beddys cuz I have a corner bed and they’re a Lilly pricey! I’ll gratefully accept 20% off
Awesome! Enjoy.
You should have used the RELEASE on the poop pups paws!! 😂😂😂
Water is cheaper lol
@ come on that concentrate makes 80 bottles…1.23 per!! You got it!! 😂😂
Go Flames.
The word is out in Texas: DO NOT BUY A DOG FROM THE AMISH!
Have seen many bad ones
Try Dienner’s Country Restaurant next time. It’s a buffet and it’s so much better than Shady Maple.
We passed that and the line outside was crazy!
@@EndlessRVing yes it is very good smaller amount choice but enough for you to get your veggies and non meat sides. It’s not out of a can stuff from Sysco. Really good food. We usually go earlier like 3pm to eat.
@@PatriciaCentralFlorida that’s awesome. Thanks for the tip and we’ll be sure to go there next time.
16:00….someone just got run over!! 😂😂
We are release cleaners and we were surprised at all it can be used for
@@barrytobias6921 thanks for sharing
Homemade means you need to get a ice cream churn and make your own. IMO, "Big Food" is basically controlling FDA and other agencies that gives them the okay to put bad stuff that is in these highly processed products. These agencies are making it more and more difficult for Amish / Mennonite stores to make natural products. Release is probably a great product, but spending $160+ is prohibitive for many folks.
People don’t need to eat the products. It’s all in the labels. Stop buying them and companies will stop using them.
Release is not $160 not sure where you are getting that number from
We tried to find a site there but there were none. It was easier to get in for July 4th than Halloween. Would have loved to have said hi!
Wow! Yes, it was packed!
My endlessly forgiving food is chocolate ice cream.
😋
