Make yourself a drink, grab some snacks, sit back and enjoy nearly 50 minutes of art supplies heaven. Watercolours, acrylic paints, ink, pencils, pens, sketchbooks, paper, paintbrushes, palettes and more...all purchased from Jackson's Art, Choosing Keeping, Paper Story, AP Fitzpatrick, Amazon, Cult Pens and The Chelsea Paper Company over the past two months. The second part of this video where I'll be swatching the paints, pens, pencils, and sharing a closer look at the Etchr sketchbooks is coming soon, along with a separate video all about the gorgeous Kremer Pigments Greys Watercolour Palette!
Since you enjoy a disposable palette you may consider just using plain old kitchen wax paper. Unless having palette shaped paper helps to motivate and inspire you. I just purchased $200.00 usd of the 5ml tubes of Winsor & Newton last night. I've always used a limited palette of Daniel Smith warm and cool primaries. With an umber for good measure. I've mixed everything I've needed from that for over 40 years. Now that I'm older and wore out I don't feel like mixing anymore and figured, wth. Today I purchased the Daniel Smith colors I've loved but haven't yet tried such as: moonglow. I admit to having Daniel Smith's primatek 6 set. Love love love those. I'm glad to see younger folk expanding their horizons early on. To enjoy all there is to offer. How you enjoy all you've shown. I too looked at that DS set you bought but I passed on it in lue of Jean Haines DS set. So I could get more primatek colors. I hope you do a review on your DS palette with the empty pans. Is like to see how it fits in the hands and how the brush gets in there. That way I can see exactly what I missed it on lol.
What is it about watching people open boxes and get their goodies that we love so much? So satisfying. My favorite hauls have become art hauls, I love clothes but there's just something about art supplies
As a lover of turquoise in all forms...I thought I’d share this. “The Sleeping Beauty mine is seven miles outside Globe, AZ. Sleeping Beauty turquoise is noted for its solid, light blue color with no matrix.” It is no longer being mined. Loved the haul!
She'll Pink is a top 10 color for me. A soft, calm lovely color that pairs with grey, indigo, turquoise, lunar black etc, etc, etc....the combinations are endless.
Yay you got Etchr sketchbooks, they're so good for watercolor! Don't panic when you swatch out the green earth watercolor, it's always weak ;) Lovely haul, nice to see you enjoying watercolor so much!
Thanks Sarah! My first impressions of them are that they look great quality! I haven't used them yet but I'm looking forward to working in them. :) I'll be featuring the sketchbooks in more detail in the follow-up video where I swatch the colours. x
I loved this video, watching all the supplies come out of the boxes was like Christmas morning! Looking forward to seeing the swatching and work you will do with the colours too. I've also been making my own "pans" of watercolour from the tubes as I like the convenience of having a palette of colours I want all together in a tidier form- I find the tubes can be messy sometimes! Thanks so much for sharing💕
Thanks Leah, it did feel like Christmas! 🧡 Do you have any tips for me when transferring the tubes to pans, as I'm a total newbie when it comes to this?! x
@@NatashaNewtonArt Hi Natasha. I just squeeze it from the tube, straight in and fill my pan. If it shrinks a bit, and I have some left, I top it up. I don't have the time to gently layer it in, bit by bit, and it's not done that way at the factory anyway! I find that watercolour sometimes does crack on drying, but I'll be adding water to it as I use it, so it doesn't worry me. I just want to get on to the art!😉
@@daisiesandsunflowers5587 I think this is what I'll do! I'm not sure I could cope with doing it gradually over weeks...we'll see. Like you, I just want to get on with making art! 😍
"What colour was that again? Oh yes, Payne's grey..." hehe So looking forward to all the swatching videos! Thanks for this wonderful video, you have such great taste in art supplies xx
Ha ha, thanks Debs! It's a known fact that you can never have enough Payne's Grey. 😂 I can't wait to film the swatching, but I'm holding on and waiting for a day with good natural light! 🧡 xx
Thank you, I'm so glad you enjoyed it! I do have a reusable palette for my acrylics too, so I'm not using the tear-off palettes all the time. They're just very handy to have (I also try to get the most use I can out of each sheet!).
Your art is beautiful! Don’t let trolls make you question your artistic decisions. I enjoy your channel and your Instagram. Thank you for sharing your talent with us!
Aww Natasha, so many beautiful colours. The Rose Doré by WN is one of my favourites. Can’t wait to see what you will make with all these beautiful things. PS: the red pigment in the DS Moonglow is not lightfast, just a heads up. If you want to make art for sale you can easily mix a lightfast version yourself with a PB29 (Ulttamarine Blue) and a PV19 (permanent rose) PPS: the Sleeping Beauty Turquoise in the DS palette is also not lightfast. Hope this helps, much 🥰
Hi Rebekka! I'm so pleased that you like the Rose Doré so much! It looked beautiful, and as it was on a special offer I thought I'd give it a try (I hadn't heard of it before I saw it on the Paper Story site). I'd heard this about Moonglow, and I'm trying to remember where it was! Daniel Smith rate it as lightfast but someone did some independent tests and discovered it wasn't, so I'd already decided that I'm only going to use it for sketchbook work or work that I'm not going to sell (it'll be fine for scanned pieces that can become prints). Thank you so much for the info about making my own lightfast version - I'm definitely going to give that a try! I'd also heard that about the Sleeping Beauty - I think it was via Jane Blundell's blog. She did a huge lightfast test on several brands of watercolour and I seem to remember that she said it dulled down after a while? I'll also keep that one for sketchbook work etc. Such a gorgeous colour though, so I'm excited to try it! x
Isn't it so exciting to open new products even though you already know what it is?? I just recently bought DS Moonglow and I'm super excited to play around with it. Looking forward to your swatching video!
@@NatashaNewtonArt i showed my 14 yr old son and he said the same thing .. He didnt say lovely but he was claiming you're the best ever.. You have an adorable life and beautiful work!!
Such a fun video!!! We have the same taste/likes in art supplies. You will LOVE the pencil sharpener! And I just love my Daniel Smith watercolors. Oh, Kremer pigments are wonderful!
Thanks Mags! I've seen them in action and they look great - he said that they last a long time too. I will be following up on all of these products and reporting back. Now I need to film the swatching video! I can't wait to try all of these.
Nice Haul! Just a piece of advice, I wouldn't squeeze primatek tubes into pans, they get hard and don't rewet easily. The colour payoff is defined better straight from the tube.
Thank you! 🧡 I've heard this from other artists too, but I also know of some who have squeezed Primatek into pans and haven't had a problem (I did hear that if you activate them by placing a little water on each pan for a couple of minutes before using, they're fine). I may try it with a small amount first, just to be on the safe side and see how they rewet, before committing to filling the pans!
Mine have been fine, the ones with mica I do what I do with any shimmer or metallic wc and just put a dab of water on a few seconds before:) Love this haul video btw!💗
Lovely supplies...my wallet was screaming loudly as you continued to show item after item, lol. Looking forward to the swatching and seeing you use all this lusciousness!
Thanks so much, Kizzie! 🧡 I've literally just uploaded the first of the swatching videos - I hope that you enjoy this one too! th-cam.com/video/9pygHWyfKA4/w-d-xo.html
Parchment paper meant for baking is a less expensive alternative to the tear-off palettes. Of course the baking paper doesn’t have a nice sturdy back, and would slip around on a table, but if you were away from home or ran out, it’s something to keep in mind.
AP Fitzpatrick is just a lovely company. As you found their Kremer stocks all come from Germany, and they are lovely and rather unique paints. I love them and have several sets. Their golds especially are stand out quality. I shall be really interested to see what you do with the grey set. The rest of your supplies are interesting too and I am looking forward to seeing how the touches work out. The folder is lovely.
Thanks Lindy! I've heard that their gold paints are supposed to be among the best - it's good to hear that you're a fan of them too! I'd definitely shop with AP Fitzpatrick again (I'd never heard of them before I ordered the Kremer palette!).
Great art haul video! Such a vicarious thrill watching all the lovely products as you pull them out of the box. The Daniel Smith Mayan Blue Dark is one of my favorites to use in place of indigo as it doesn’t have as dramatic of lightening color shift after it dries like I find Daniel Smith’s Indigo does. Its such a lovely dark blue. (By the way, are you sure you have enough Payne’s Grey? Lol😀)
Hello from Italy 😊 thank you for doing this video, I love watching artists' hauls and tests videos to discover new materials. I really enjoyed it. Surprised to hear about the pigment issue with *unpronounciable name* pink (😂) 571 by Caran D'Ache. Really hope they will not discontinue any of their colors actually, they are all so beautiful.
Hi Elisa! Thanks for your lovely comment, I'm so pleased that you enjoyed the haul. 🧡 I now have to film the follow-up swatching video and I can't wait to play with these paints! Apparently, the chemical companies who make the pigment are the ones who've decided to discontinue it, and then that of course impacts any art supplies manufacturers who use it in their products. I don't know how long their stocks of the pigment will last - I hope they're able to find an alternative! I agree with you about Caran d'Ache colours; they have so many soft and muted colours that I love and that seem quite unique to them! 🧡
Hi Pinky! I don't have the Professional Artists Watercolour version but I do have the W&N Cotman version. Which one do you have? The Cotman separates into really interesting patterns and colours! 🖤
@@NatashaNewtonArt I have the WN Professional version- I love it for how dark of a value it brings. From what I can recall from reading around the professional version is darker and semi-opaque? I wound up purchasing a halfpan vs the tube so I am unsure if the formulation is a bit different between the two. If you're a lover of the color itself though it might be worth adding to your collection!
@@ChrisLauren Thanks so much for the info! I will definitely try that one when I've used up one of my other Payne's Greys. It sounds like something I'd love! 😍
What a fantastic haul!,so glad you are trying the Etcher watercolour sketchbooks I love these and have a large one I;m working in at the moment. I also have the same gold ink you got from Choosing Keeping, it's a great metallic ink and when dry has a really lovely antique gold leaf look to it and it really shines on black or dark paper. It's good that you are trying new colours too, hope they inspire you.Naples yellow is a staple colour for me and a favourite of many years,I find it is actually a great mixing colour,I have the colour in all the different mediums I work with.It will be exciting to see all the new videos using all the items from this haul.Always nice to see anything from Choosing Keeping!!they are such a great company to buy from,so uniquin what they sell.I lve their handmade paper, it's great for mixed media work and also is lovely to make sketchbooks from as I have done recently.I also love the Stonehenge black paper it's a staple of mine and is perfect for metallics and ialso great for gouache too. You have such unique colour palettes for you art work, have you ever though of collaborating with a company to create a palette of colours that could be sold as maybe a limited edtion set.I know companies sometimes approach established artists with a view to creating a range of colours made to the artists specifications.I found myself wondering what you will create with of of these new materials, looking forward to all the new videos!,enjoy all of thess new paints etc and hope they really inspire you and your work.
Thanks Matt, I'm glad you enjoyed it! There's nothing like a good art supplies haul, is there?! I keep hearing great things about the Etchr sketchbooks so I'm looking forward to trying them. I'll be using at least one of them for a special project I'm working on. ;) If the gold ink looks antique, that sounds perfect for me! It's always interesting to hear your thoughts on different materials. It's so strange that you should mention about the possibility of me collaborating with a company to come up with a unique colour palette - I mentioned this to my partner just the other day! I was saying how I thought I might approach one of the handmade watercolour makers to see whether they'd be interested in a collaboration, but I feel a bit shy about suggesting it! It would be so exciting though. I'd love it!
@@NatashaNewtonArt I think you should just go for it,I think a collaboration with a handmade watercolour maker would be a really great thing to do,really inspiring to other artists. You have such a unique and insightful way of putting your own colour palettes together, know what colours work well together,I think such a collaboraton would result in something really special that am sure many people would want to own and I think people woud be able too see how much thought you put into the creation of such a pallette. Maybe be bold and bite the creative bullet so to speak and appraoch a handmade watercolour maker that you feel an affinity/empathy with I think it would be a really rewarding thing for you to do.
@@NatashaNewtonArt I love the colours you put together, so if you did collaborate with a handmade water colour maker to create a palette of colours to your design/choosing I would certainly purchase it
I still have a 15 ml tube of Daniel Smith watercolor that I bought years ago at the main DS store in Seattle. It cost me a whopping $5.87 plus tax. (Should I put it in a shadow box frame for archival purposes??) Oh, how I miss that store!!!! And their catalogs, fliers, demos and lessons!!
Oh my gosh, what a fun video! I can't wait to see the swatch video(s) and hopefully you'll show us how you decide to put together all those gorgeous colors in palettes. I'd love to know what you think of the Etchr sketchbooks, I've been contemplating getting one. Thanks for sharing, loved the video :)
Thanks so much, Nancy! I'm so pleased that you enjoyed it. 🧡 I've just uploaded the first of the swatching videos this afternoon - you can find it here: th-cam.com/video/9pygHWyfKA4/w-d-xo.html
The other color I thought of... for a coastal seascape is Celadon green color pencil from Holbein. They have so many gorgeous light greens in their range.... but I think this one might be my favorite. It def leans bluer rather than yellow. I just ordered my first Luminance pencils... wow... I’m so excited! I got a few of your favorite colors 👍
@@brookerose773 So glad that you've ordered some Luminance - I hope you love them as much as I do! I've added the Celadon pencil to my favourites too after checking it out. It's out of stock at the moment, but when they're back in stock I'll order one! Thank you again. :)
What a fun haul! Daniel Smith is my favorite watercolor brand and yes, it is expensive here....even shopping at the store at their actual factory! Although...not quite as expensive as what you had to pay. If you like blue green and granulation, you might find their Cascade Green interesting. And most of the greens on my palette are primateks...apatite green geniune, serpentine, and jadeite genuine. My favorite of the three is green apatite. When you finish the DS tube of PO71 (transparent pyrrol orange), you might want to try the schmincke version.....that is the one schmincke color ALWAYS on my palette. It is so fascinating how a particular pigment can turn out differently across manufacurers! If you like to collect palettes, watch Jacksons for Schmincke special editions. The occasional sets are fabulously priced and Schmincke occasionally offers a soecial collection in a square palette designed for 18 half pans. But for creative squishers of half pans like me, you can get 28 half pans into that tin and it makes an amazing travel palette....about half the size of the big 36 half pan one you have. It just packs up beautifully for travel/plein air painting. Have fun with all hour new toys!
Hi Tracy! Thanks so much for this interesting comment, and if I manage to make may way through all of the DS Transparent Pyrrol Orange, I'll definitely give the Schmincke version a try! Cascade Green has fascinated me for a while but I've yet to purchase it (there are just soooo many DS colours I would love to have!). Thanks for the tip about the Schmincke special editions. I'm going to keep an eye on Jackson's, just in case! 🧡
@@NatashaNewtonArt about! I understood! thanks for the answer! I'm unlikely to be able to find it here in Israel! I really liked this bottle of gold - I've never seen one like it!
@@NatashaNewtonArt Yes, it feels like Christmas when you were little. But honestly, I also miss going to physical art stores. I just love atmosphere and smell in there!
Beautiful video🎨I saw Lizzie Harper review the canson heritage paper swatches on her TH-cam channel and apparently you have to use the side of the paper without the logo, but at least that means you get a full sheet
Thanks so much! I've looked closely at the sheets I have, and it looks like the reverse of the paper (the side without the logo - the side with the logo looks like the correct side to paint on). But maybe it's ok to paint on both sides? Anyway, it looks like lovely paper!
Just started watching your channel. I'm really enjoying your videos. Regarding Roman Szmal watercolor, may I suggest mineral violet, ocean blue, aquarius green, and Przybysz's gray.
Can't wait to order from Choosing Keeping. Everything looks so delicious from there. That linen paper tho. I wish companies wouldn't use that whatsit packaging. Lovely haul and video. So many nice goodies. Yummy.
Agree with you about the whatsit packaging! My most hated form of packaging (alongside clingfilm). Really pleased that you enjoyed the haul, and I'm thrilled with my recent purchases from Choosing Keeping - always exciting to open an order from them! 🧡
Thank you so much! 🧡 I've just swatched them for the first time (the video has literally just been uploaded to my channel!) and I enjoyed every second of it. ;)
Lovely video but I was curious if you’ve come across the mini Paul rubens watercolor pallet. The tins you reviewed, look exactly like the tin case used in the pallets I mentioned
Love the haul x. I have found that The Range here in the UK is rather good on prices for gouache paints and other paints like oils, acrylics and such. x
I bought one of the little paint tins just after Christmas and I poured my first pans with my watercolour tubes. I am so sad, I kept looking at them 50 times a day and making sure they were perfect and topped up. I have so many pets, I had to keep removing pet hair even though the tin had been closed. Still keep looking at them and now I'm frustrated as I have empty pans so will be ordering more colours. Honestly, you would have thought I was waiting for baby chick's to hatch. I suppose I'll get out of it eventually 🤣🤣🤣 You are such a lucky lady, you won't know where to start swatching with all that stuff. I haven't had granulating colours yet, I'll get there eventually. Still learning with normal ones just now. Hope you have many happy hours of painting xXx
Ha ha, I have a feeling I'm going to be the same! 🤣 Did you squeeze a little bit in and then allow it to dry before adding another layer in the pans? I've seen people squeeze a lot out at once, but others seem to do it in stages, so I'm not sure what to do! I've always just used watercolour straight from the tubes - I've never made a palette before but I'm really looking forward to it as it's so creative in itself. Thank you so much for your lovely comment and I hope that you enjoy your paints too! 💖 xx
@@NatashaNewtonArt I hadn't done it before so I filled them to the top and levelled them of beautifully then a few days later they had sunken half way down the pan, so I filled them up again with a bit of a dome on top and they are now perfectly level. I'd only painted with pans before and thought I might waste too much with the tubes so after watching Becky Tregear do hers, I thought I'd have a go. I might just buy pans in future and only buy tubes that I need a lot of the same colour for, such as for skies or sunsets as it's difficult to get the same value if you run out with a pan and the sky then becomes patchy.
Looking forward to all the swatches. It was such a fun haul, I can see your enthusiasm growing for watercolours, it is such a good feeling! :) I went frantically looking for that pink Luminance pencil. Will get a few if they are still in stock! 😅 I am actually not a huge fan of Luminance as a coloured pencil, but I do enjoy your colour palette choices and the ones you show always seem nice and saturated. A had a few scratchy pencils from them that put me off. But will order a few of those you shared, they look delicious! :)
Thanks Alyona! 🧡 I used watercolours a lot years ago but then stopped and concentrated mainly on acrylic and gouache, but just recently I've totally fallen in love with them again! The colours that other artists (including you!) have shared on TH-cam, the fascinating colour mixing, the mineral or granulating pigments, and the fact that they're so luminous and seem almost magical in many ways...it's all made me feel so excited to dive back into them again! That particular Luminance pencil is such a beautiful colour and doesn't seem scratchy at all. I've never had a scratchy Payne's Grey or Dark Indigo either! (My faves). 🧡 I have two slightly scratchy ones in my collection; Indian Yellow and I think the other is Burnt Sienna 10%.
What a lovely collection of things to work with. Gorgeous. I can confirm that shipping around Europe in and out of the UK, is currently a nightmare for sellers! I sell products into the EU and it's been awful. Couriers who couldn't cope with the new rules and Covid hammering all the delivery services, the customs areas and the parcel handling. I've had things completely lost and am in the process of trying to get insurance to pay out. I've had parcels take 6 weeks to arrive to Germany and Czech Republic. All these destinations used to be 2-3 days by road. It's easing a bit now, as at least the customs have stopped sending things back randomly with no explanations. But it's still dire.
Just listening to art hauls and cleaning the house. I watched a golden video yesterday and they said they had a new supplier for pr168 so there might be hope for the pencils you like?
Lovely haul. Just a tip don't squeeze out the potters pink into a pan. The winsor and newton one is one which is really hard to rewet from the pan. The one from schmincke and the one from Roman szmal are the only ones which I own that are easy to rewet.
This is a great tip, thank you! I really want one for the palette, so maybe I'll do a test with a small amount of the W&N one to see how it rewets (just in case there's a variation between tubes) and if it doesn't rewet well, I'll get the Schmincke or RS version for the palettes. Thanks again!
@@joannaowen6653 it still can be used but spray the pan before using it with a bit of water and don't use your favourite or most expensive brush with it as it will need a little bit of work for some color payoff.
@@NatashaNewtonArt it is a typical problem with potters pink in general not just for W&N. I am not sure why but maybe it is because of the granulation and the low tinting strength. With roman szmal the honey in the base of the color helps with rewetting the paint and schmincke paints are in general very creamy (the most satisfying paints to put into pans).
@@joannaowen6653 I was going to say what @franninchen has said! I'd heard from another art TH-camr that if you let some water sit on 'hard to rewet' colours for a few minutes before, you should be able to use them. I haven't tried this myself yet, so I'm only going by what others have said! I guess I'll find out in due course. ;)
I wonder if it was my video you saw with the grey watercolour paint set! (channel name used to be Beret Nice but recently changed it to Designsofluid). I tested them on different coloured watercolour paper which was cool :)
PR168 😱 anthro scarlet by DS no!! Lol now i got to check what else i have of that pigment! So much goodies in this haul - also got Sodalite genuine love it. Moonglow is pretty, but I prefer Artemis by Da Vinci - but they are US based - so becomes expensive with import duties
It's the chemical companies who manufacturer pigments (and then supply the artist material companies) who discontinued it, the paint companies don't have much sway :) It's a beautiful, glowy color, but PR188 is close and still around. Caran d'Ache uses PR168 in their Anthraquinoid Pink and Violet Pink pencils and many pastel and watercolor brands use it too. I would hope Anthraquinoid Pink pencil color could be replicated, however in watercolor it's often hard to get the same behavior and mixes when replacing a pigment.
@@everartokelli That's interesting info about PR188, thanks so much for sharing that! Hopefully the pencil will be able to continue in some form, but it's such a shame about the watercolour. I wonder why the chemical companies have decided to discontinue?
I don't know the why of PR168 production being stopped, but my favorite pigment is PO49, quinacridone gold, a beautiful, transparent, useful, glowy earthy golden color, and that was discontinued because the automotive industry stopped using it and I heard that the chemical companies didn't think it would be profitable only selling to paint companies. I have a stash (like you with your A Pink pencils!) and I'm glad I do as the substitutes, while lovely, act very differently in water. Most of the colors I know of being discontinued are warm reds and golds, PY153, PO49, PG10 (a green gold). Sometimes handmade watercolor makers find and produce small quantities of these colors, so I guess they don't completely disappear. I want to thank you for sharing your art supplies and creative processes, it's very enjoyable and inspiring!
@@everartokelli Thank you for your kind words about my channel and for your info about the pigments - I find all of this fascinating! So we are kind of dependent on the automotive industry continuing to use certain pigments then. I feel as though I'm learning so much just in this comment section! I really love that aspect of TH-cam. Thanks again!

Hello quite an ART haul! I once invested in Dan Smith paints but I became so disappointed and I have removed all but 1 color from all my palettes! I know shipping to the UK is high but if you ever want to invest in a quality paint. DaVinci of California is an amazing company. I love their watercolors and even their gouache is lovely. They have fluid acrylics that are reasonable too. I understand why W&N would be better for you in the UK they must be much more affordable. I hope to get a chance to view more of your videos. Please take care and be safe over there!
Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed it! I'm curious as to why you were disappointed by Daniel Smith paints? I've had several for a couple of years now and have never been disappointed with them - I find them a pleasure to work with, the quality is beautiful, and the unusual textures and granulation really add a slightly magical quality. I've heard of DaVinci and I'm pleased that you've found some paints you love - we all need to work with materials that inspire us! :) Winsor & Newton have long been a favourite of mine; both the gouache and the watercolour, and I highly rate their acrylics too. And as you say, they're very easy to get here in the UK too!
Awesome art supply haul! I'm very new to watercolors (and arts in general) - I started in November as a Covid distraction. Anyways, how well can you mix and match different watercolor brands? You seem to enjoy many brands so I assume they mix quite well? I've heard that (professional) Winsor & Newton tube watercolors work well in pans even after drying but how about the rest of the brands you use?
They mix perfectly - most artists I know use several different brands (you may prefer certain colours from one brand, and others from another brand etc.) I've never put any of my tubes into pans in the past; this is something I'm going to be doing over the next week or two, so I will find out how well they rewet! As far as I can understand, with most paints it isn't a problem and if you do have the odd one or two that are harder to rewet, just drop water onto them for a couple of minutes before using to reactivate the pigment. :)

PIE - ROLE - PYROLE! You picked the right potter's pink too - it is gorgeous!
🥧🥧🥧🥧🥧 !!! (Can't wait to use that Potter's Pink - I'd heard that the Winsor & Newton one was good via another TH-camr!).

Ha ha, thanks Debs! It's a known fact that you can never have enough Payne's Grey. 😂 I can't wait to film the swatching, but I'm holding on and waiting for a day with good natural light! 🧡 xx
You should try using a piece of glass as a palette for acrylic and oils it's super easy to clean and much more eco friendly . Loved the Haul ❤️
Thank you so much, Terri! I really appreciate that. :)
Aww Natasha, so many beautiful colours. The Rose Doré by WN is one of my favourites. Can’t wait to see what you will make with all these beautiful things.
PS: the red pigment in the DS Moonglow is not lightfast, just a heads up. If you want to make art for sale you can easily mix a lightfast version yourself with a PB29 (Ulttamarine Blue) and a PV19 (permanent rose)
PPS: the Sleeping Beauty Turquoise in the DS palette is also not lightfast.
Such a gorgeous colour though, so I'm excited to try it! x
I love those DS colours but didn’t know about the light fastness
Isn't it so exciting to open new products even though you already know what it is??
I just recently bought DS Moonglow and I'm super excited to play around with it.
Looking forward to your swatching video!
It really is! I can't wait to play and experiment with all of these! Enjoy your Moonglow (such a great name!).

This was a fabulous haul, thank you for sharing. I'm going to watch the swatch video next.
Thanks so much! I hope you enjoyed the swatching too. 🧡
Mine have been fine, the ones with mica I do what I do with any shimmer or metallic wc and just put a dab of water on a few seconds before:)
Love this haul video btw!💗
Omg I love art haul videos and this one does NOT disappoint!!! So fun to watch! Thank you for sharing♥️

Parchment paper meant for baking is a less expensive alternative to the tear-off palettes. Of course the baking paper doesn’t have a nice sturdy back, and would slip around on a table, but if you were away from home or ran out, it’s something to keep in mind.
Good tip, Julie!

The Kremer palette is like a little jewel, I’d have to buy two, one just to look at.. 😆
I know exactly what you mean! ;)

Lol😀)
Thank you! I'm even more excited about the Mayan Dark Blue now. 😍 And I could never have enough Payne's Grey! That's just not possible. 😂

Hello from Italy 😊
thank you for doing this video, I love watching artists' hauls and tests videos to discover new materials.
I loved this video so much, so relaxing. Also discovered new hues!
That's great to hear, thank you so much! 🧡
We have a lot of color overlap, haha! Not sure if you've tried Paynes Gray by WN but they have my absolute favorite version of it.

I suppose I'll get out of it eventually 🤣🤣🤣
You are such a lucky lady, you won't know where to start swatching with all that stuff.
@@SpookyRooster135 Thanks so much for sharing that - that's really helpful! 🧡 x

Oh no, what a nightmare, Sue! I'm glad to hear it's gradually getting a little bit better...
Loveee choosing keeping 🤍
Agreed! ;)
I want it all 😍😍❤
I hope that you can have it all! 🧡
Just listening to art hauls and cleaning the house. I watched a golden video yesterday and they said they had a new supplier for pr168 so there might be hope for the pencils you like?
This is great news! Thank you. :)
I’m viewing this a year later. The pink pencil is still available but I felt compelled to buy four also. Talk about being a lemming!!
Darn it, I recently squeezed half of my tube of winsor and newton potters pink into a pan. It has dried very hard. Is it no good?

I know! Why have they discontinued it?! I can't wait to play with these paints. I'm intrigued by Artemis now! :)
Cool thanks for the video
Thanks so much for watching!
You NEED the Waffle Flower Color Combo swatching sets..... I do too!
I don't think I've heard of these before!
@@NatashaNewtonArt I hadn’t until yesterday either when I saw them on someone’s marker haul vid.... they’re stamps and die sets to make the cutest swatch tags and pages and stuff, but they’ve been around for a year. I’m not affiliated, just a fan of buying art supplies too... that I wanted to swatch at some stage so I stupidly went down that binge video watching rabbit hole too 😂😂😂
Hello quite an ART haul!
I am curious too!
Cute paint brushes
They're so pretty, aren't they! 🧡
@@NatashaNewtonArt Thank you for the reply! I enjoy watching your videos. Keep going! Interesting to see how your tube paints handle being in pans. 👍🏻
If you want to see a lot of different brands and mixing, check out on youtube Dr Oto Kano, and In Liquid Color.
@@OhJodi69 Thanks for the tips! I had already subscribed to In Liquid Color channel but the other one is new to me.
@@MinnaPerala84 Thanks Minna! Have fun exploring your new watercolours! 🧡
damn, that's a treat!
Such a lot of fun to film and I'm loving using the supplies!
Hey, have you used the kremer set yet? How was it?
I love it! Beautiful quality paints. :)
I think I missed where you got the Kremer set? I have looked several places and can’t find that palette...
AP Fitzpatrick in the UK!
Did you try kremer watercolor? Did you like them?
I absolutely love them!
