    Of the recent tech tour/upgrades, this is probably closest to what we're working with at our church. In particular, those stools look nice! (Selfishly, I know. Also, make them too nice and the worship team is liable to steal them 😢)

    The Behringer P2 and similar products are great value for wired foldback/monitor.

    What is that PTZ controller? I am looking for a more intuitive interface for prospective volunteers. I am running 2 Canon NR-C300s.

    Hello. Which instruments should be louder for church service. We have vocalists, 2 keyboards, drums which are mic'd. Id appreciate it a lot.

    This is a great budget option! I do wonder though: why do you still recommend the X32 at this point? It still works, but is quite outdated when it comes to features and quality compared to other (semi)budget audio consoles like the A&H SQ series, Behringer Wing. I get that the X32 is cheaper, but I believe we're currently at a point where the extra features and quality of the SQ makes it more suitable for a lot of churches then the X32. Would love to hear your/the community's thoughts about this :)

      we don't recommend buying it new. it's what this church already had.

      Realistically for many small churches even the x32 is still not considered quite "budget". In our case for example it took us over 5 years with a used xr12 until we were finally at a place to be able to finance an x32. And it was still over our operational budget.

      There is nothing wrong with the X32/m32 for the vast majority of small churches. I bought an M32 on sale new last year and it fits our needs perfectly. The price was right, it's layout is friendly and most important of all: there is a TON of support for it. You can chase the new/shiny but is it really going to get that much of an improvement for you? The support aspect is huge - a previous church I was with went with a soundcraft board and it was a nightmare; should have stuck to my guns and stuck wit the x32/m32. If you don't have dedicated audio pro's, there is no other platform with more support/knowledge/resources out there than the X32/M32.

    Why exactly wouldn’t a 1ME fit the bill here versus the 2ME? Future BM camera control?

    • @Churchfront
      @Churchfront  ปีที่แล้ว

      we want to run our projector screens off the video switcher as well. makes it way easier to switch between video sources and have imag if needed. 1 m/e for broadcast, and another m/e for in the room.

    • @damienherrington9359
      @damienherrington9359 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Churchfrontah ok so it doesn’t have to follow manually changing the aux out. We repurposed our old Atem TV studio Hd to switch between PP and Imag (pgm out) of the ISO mini extreme to projectors.

    • @steve01010
      @steve01010 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Damien if you don't need to do separate DSKs or overlays on two outputs at the same time, then a 1 M/E will work well. You can send the M/E to both the online and IMAG screens when needed, and then use the aux bus to route the media computer (or other source) directly to either IMAG or online. That way you don't have to eat up two M/Es.

      With ProPresenter and OBS supporting NDI natively we went NDI everywhere - projectors, cameras and computers. So nice not having to mess with any analog signals or switch gear. The BirdDog NDI to HDMI for the projectors seem pricey (we bought the PTZ NDI native) - until you realize you don't need any of the other analog crap :)

    i actually dont know why there is a wall for the tech booth I work in...i dont understand why its necessary

    • @JohnPlocher
      @JohnPlocher ปีที่แล้ว +1

      A booth wall can mute the tech team's internal conversations from those sitting in nearby, can be a barrier to keep curious fingers and clumsy feet from unexpectedly rewiring your gear during a service and an aesthetic view block to hide the mess...
