NOTE 1. Yes, we plan to allow George to engage with the FCR, but only after we complete FCR development. Also, once the FCR is complete, we will add new datalink functions between aircraft. For now, AH-64D to AH-64D datalink is multiplayer-only. NOTE 2. We will later add LINK mode that will slave the TADS to the FCR NTS. NOTE 3. We will add the FCR to the reloading/refueling pop-up. This is currently planned for the January 2024 Open Beta update but is subject to change based on testing. NOTE 4. As always, these videos provide a preview of an upcoming feature to assist you in understanding a new feature. Later, it is quite possible that the feature will change, and the feature functionality has changed. As much as I’d like to, I lack the time re-record these videos.
Awesome news, Wags! On that note with the FCR, is there a chance that something like the Mi-24's IR Suppressors will be added to the weapons page too? That would be a great addition! Thanks for all the hard work, to you and the team!
@@MattWagner Sorry, I wrote it poorly. I meant the option to remove the IR Suppressors on the Mi-24, since we'll be able to remove the FCR in the armament menu.
I've tested the FCR since the last update and I have to say that it feels like a whole different module. I can't wait for the future addons. Good job ED!
Without a doubt the best rendition of the famous Apache to date, and it keeps getting better. Those new FLIR images with the plumes of smoke and glowing fires looks pretty amazing too, and that is not to undermine the amount of work gone into producing the FCR and other systems.
Merry Christmas Wags, thank you for all the work from you and your team. I always look forward to your videos on my favorite aircraft. Then have the other content creatures break it to layman terms. (To many to list) I thank all of them.
It's insane how easy they made it to operate and destroy targets. With only one watching of Wag's video while I was working and half paying attention, I was still able to just click around and deploy missiles with the FCR in about 5 minutes. That's nuts. Microsoft Excel is more of a pain, and it's not firing missiles from a million dollar helicopter.
Great to see radar incorporated so well on the Apache. It’ll make a world of difference in locating TOI’s. Thanks for the phenomenal tutorial, as always.
Amazing work Wags! I remember reading the manual for the first time and being overwhelmed by the amount of information. Now that the Apache is almost feature complete, many things make sense and are becoming very intuitive.
The AH-64D is running away from me pretty fast now. A lot to learn and remember. That notwithstanding, it is great to receive all these new development. Good job ED and happy holidays.
Love the Apache even more since the FCR! Thanks ED. Its only missing Stingers now but I understand the CMWS is in its place as we see in the first few seconds of the video
What a lovely progress. Just a tip but not about the ah-64 module. Increase the explosion effects, I love DCS but theres something I think that must be rework... the explosion effects... Thank you guys effort.. Love you all.
Another way to slew over to the Fcr targets with the tads is to make the fcr the sight, then scan and select a target, then change acq to tads and press the slave button. The only downside is that you have to do this everytime you select an new target and it only works as a cpg. I think this is where the link function will come in handy later on.
Understanding the relationship between Sight and Acquisition Source, there are multiple ways to skin this cat. In the end though, LINK will be best option.
@@MattWagner correction: ..…. Select a target , then change sight to tads, make the fcr acq and then press slave… thats the correct method, I always mess up sight and acq
Hi Wags! Could you maybe make a video explaining the process of engaging targets with multiple aircraft using the FCR PFZs and Datalink? I have been trying to do this myself, but i am unsure of how to do this exactly as im having some trouble understanding how much of the intended capability has been implemented as of now. Thank you!
Do you know if it's now (or in the future) possible to prevent AH-64 FCR system to lock on targets that are already crossed out with "X" symbol? (like happened here: 3:05, 2nd target that will be fired upon is a target that has already been engaged, while there are targets which never been engaged before.)
@@MattWagner you think the computer would know not to keep putting next to shoot and ants over X ‘d previous shot at targets when scanning again -that seems to be bad engineering
@@MattWagner lol like boeing would listen to us ….I’ve been flying this non stop since fcr release im getting pretty good at picking up new contacts versus X’d ones hiding in cover at 4-5k out zooming in on screen looking very closely, it has its own challenges for sure but its worth it to take AA threats out quickly at first scan . Btw what is C scope function ?
Question time: I know the FCR isn’t really multicrew ready yet, but in theory could the back seater shoot with it, have the shots show up on the tads for the front seater, and they can see if stuff gets sploded? Moot point once LINK enters the scene, but still. Thanks for the video!
Hey wags, have you guys ever thought about adding a D variant to either the F/A-18 or the F-16? Maybe you could make it as a upgrade to the hornet or viper module.
hi Wags, is this also possible if you lock a target with fcr then sight tads then slave? Or do you need to configure the aquistion in the tsd for that?
I agree with others that are saying that the FCR feels like a whole new module! This is going to make aquiring targets SO MUCH easier than looking for heat signatures through the TADS!! :D
Hey @Wags, any chance you posted your DCS settings? Your videos are always crisp but smooth at the same time. I'm particularly interested in your gamma and sharpness but wouldn't mind if you shared it all. Thanks!

Dear Wags, how do you get the FCR overlay on the TSD? Looks like a very handy feature
Automatic when FCR set as Sight.

doe's FCR detects vehicles when they are in the state of "late activation/visible before activation"?🤔
It should, if not, please enter a bug report on our forum.
@@MattWagner ok
@@MattWagner I believe, if FCR detects, then the target must also be hitable. Unit cost of Hellfire = US$150,000...
Is there, at current stage, any way to de-cluster the soup fcr target icons? Or is this a ZOOM feature only, which is not yet implemented?
Use the TSD range scale or wait for ZOOM.

No, just from CPG until LINK.

When will the CAQ be visible to the other crewmember again?
Not sure what you mean by sharing the CAQ. Perhaps you meant the ACQ source.
