Clean Water Conversation: Mudpuppy Conservation

Mudpuppies are a high priority Species of Greatest Conservation need in Vermont. Vermont Fish & Wildlife has partnered with the DEC to apply federal funds in a project from the Lake Champlain Basin Program and Environmental Protection Agency to address population concerns. This conversation covers mudpuppy natural history, ecosystem roles, how mudpuppies are affected by water quality and sedimentation, and an overview of the conservation project.
