Sam I was wondering if you pull out honey frames out and you don’t wanna spin off the honey yet are you able to put them in a freezer or refrigerator does it do anything to the moisture level great video keep them coming Charlie PA
Charlie I don't take the honey frames out until the are capped and the bees a done with them. I have heard that if you put the frames in a freezer they will pike-up more moisture and🤔 the honey want taste right but that's just me
I have a hive which been queenless for long time and thinking to queen it from another hive by taking its queen can i do that? and is it ok if these two hives were near each other?
Good morning Ahmed, I don't think it would be a good idear to take the queen out of a good hive and put it in a bad hive. If the queenless hive has been with out a queen they may bee a drone layer now and the would kill the good queen. what I would do is get a frame from a hive that has eggs in it and put it in the queenless hive. They will make a new queen and if not it will build up the hive. If they are a queen laying hive, Take all the frames out of the hive, put something on the ground, I use a top turned up-side down, so the bees aren't on the ground or in the grass. Put the frame with the eggs in the hive, shake the bees off the frames on top of what ever you put on the ground, the and put 4 of the frames back in the hive they came out of, the bees will fly back home, put the extra frame in the hive that the frame with the eggs was in and check the queenless hive in a week to see if you have a queen cell. If that doesn't work combine the hives. Thanks for watching and the comment.🙂
