I watched the movie today as a Huge uncharted fan, and it was better than expected and at the end credits with the uc4 theme was just epic and beautiful moment to ever remembar
I want it to be more detail in tho story of the treasure they are finding, like for example in uc4 about Henry Avery and what really happened in that time. Like the end fight Nate vs Rafe u coukd see Thomas Tew and Every right there. But a really good movie, but im more exited for the next one

It was good entertainment, although it did walk a very thin line between inspiration and "steal". I'm a bit disappointed how the plot unravels almost the exact same way UC4 did.
Amy Hennig created Uncharted. And movies really should stop taking exact scenes from games. We played them already on an interactive medium, nothing is going to top that. Instead do what the games did for us, make us go "I have never seen this before" and in terms of the game which you unfortunately cannot top is us going "i can't believe I just did that"

Incredible to see two successful creative teams in their own right come together and earnestly ask each other questions, and express admiration for the others work. They all just really wanted to know the experiences of the other and in turn shared somethings they learned in their processes. Love to see it! ❤
never played Uncharted but enjoyed this film. being "non-apologetic" is right. movie adaptations from games should still be it's own stand alone project. can't wait for the sequels 👍
it was a good first entry! looking forward to more sequels. the pressure is on for the second one because that was the best game IMO and when they series really took off. hoping for more of an uncharted feel in the next movie. more time spent in the jungle, solving bigger puzzles, a stronger villain, and maybe elena fisher?!
The moment Rubben Fleischer dismissed the small 5 second scene of Nate holding and turning the paper and cut it from the film after Tom Holland told him how important is to the game specially the 4th, i realized that they had picked the wrong director for the franchise.
Dude, a 10 second shot of just Nate flipping over a letter is a kool homage, but it wouldn't work for a film's pacing. There's just some elements of a game that couldn't translate to film

Complain all you want about the casting but at least they landed an actual fan of the franchise to play Nathan. It was very cool of Tom to try to incorporate something as subtle as the way Nathan turns a page in the game into the actual movie despite it not being able to make it into the actual cut. It shows he has love for the franchise and that goes a long way. So pumped to watch this!🤩
I really hope to see more uncharted sequels with adverse settings and puzzles just like the games had. I loved this movie and i hope to see more from these characters and their character development further down the line. The only negative about this movie was that it left me wanting to see more interaction between Nate and sully :/ I just did not want the movie to end 😢
I didn't hate the movie nor liked it . I'm interested in peoples thoughts on this movie who haven't played any uncharted games( basically no idea on any character/their past/how they met etc.) I thing after spiderman tom had the idea of an alternative universe where nate and sully would meet in nate's 20's rather when nate is 13-14 which bugs me. The way sully and nate met in wasnt satisfying. While playing the games i was always on the edge of my seat, curious to know whats gonna happen next, but during the film i didn't have that connection. Just my thoughts *No Hate*
I played one or 2 of the games amen I was young but that's it. I was iffy on the casting too but I ended up liking it. I think if they didn't have these 2 monstrous stars the movie would've bombed and people would just be talking about it in the swamp of other video game movies. But at least w this cast and changes they can make something popular and improve on it on the next one w feedback from all the fans. I thought this movie was a fun exploration/treasure hunt movie
I don't play video games, never played Uncharted. It was a fun flick! The characters were a little superficial, but their motivations were clear, and the action was great. Holland always brings the pathos to a movie, and I think the other actors followed his lead.

The Uncharted movie needs more deleted scenes released, since they actually improve the movie e.g Nate and Chloe kissing scene from CHP 18 of the Uncharted movie novelisation and seen by a test audience. Please request Sony to make it happen.

@@theaizien3857 unfortunately it's not as easy. It's easier said than done my friend. Part of SONY's problem is the lack of a mobile device/product to attach that ecosystem to. SONY unfortunately lost out on the smartphone war. I think that that's a big part of the thinking behind the Vision S electric car. That clearly has an EV ecosystem built into it, and I'm sure that an EV ecosystem is a big part of why SONY wants to get into EVs. Though you are right that they need to build more of one with their TVs and PlayStation. At least there should be an all SONY media ecosystem across PlayStation, Bravia TVs, and Xperia phones.

For me it was a very middle of the road, bland film. A decent 5/10, but a 5/10 none the less. A very inoffensive film that doesn’t take any risks (aside from the controversial casting) and I guess it just aims to please everyone as much as possible. Tom was actually very good in this film, but I never believed him as Nate. Mark was…well…I seriously didn’t like him as Sully. Not really his fault, but it didn’t work for me. Both of them had okay chemistry and they were fine to watch, but neither sold me in their role. The film didn’t do anything better the games already had. I’m sure they wanted to do something different but, here lies the issue…what is the point of this film other than an easy cash-grab by using a well established franchise?

@@PredatorH2O I think the games did exceedingly better with its characters and storylines. I think there’s acres of difference within its quality. Personally, as a diehard fan of the games, I don’t think having simply more Uncharted is for the best. I would happily take quality over quantity any day of the week. The film isn’t bad, but it isn’t good either it has this very bland middleground where I personally think the whole film is pretty pointless. It’s failed to express anything new, and just did a snapshot, subpar version of telling a well known story. But again, it’s a guaranteed Cashcow so of course still make another. If this was a completely original story, it wouldn’t nearly get as much box office, and it certainly wouldn’t be able to take so many liberties in it flimsy plot lines. This is just my opinion, your perfectly entitled to enjoy the film and get a lot from it, it just really wasn’t for me and I knew it way back when it was first announced. I still gave it a go.

Haven't seen it yet but based on reviews it makes me very sad... nothing against the actors tho. Based on the trailer it looks like they copy pasted some of the most iconic scenes of the games unto the movie...

I didn't watch the movie. I am a huge fan of the uncharted game series but watching Tom Holland as Nathan Drake is absolutely devastating. No matter how good the movie is if the casting is bad the movie wouldn't feel the same. Tom Holland might as well act as a 17 year old Nathen Drake but as adult Drake is a big no no. He doesn't look like Nathen Drake and that changes everything. I didn't expect this from Team Sony. It's based on a hit game series, if done right you could develop a movie series that's as good as the games. Conduct a survey to understand how gamers related the movie to the game.
As a huge fan of the games, I enjoyed the film. I do however wish that the movie, and any future movies (which I hope will be made) wouldn't rely so heavily on moments and characterizations lifted *straight* out of the games, and in the wrong places. Now if they bring Nadine Ross in, she will be seen as a copy of the VASTLY-inferior Braddock character. Also, If Reuben is going to adapt the amazing car chase, shot-for-shot... dude, just make it in the Uncharted 4 movie.

"What's the point of the film"? More Uncharted obviously. Let's be honest, it didn't do much better than the games, instead it did the exact same things. Except with a different story. And idk about you but that's exactly what I wanted.
@@PredatorH2O I think the games did exceedingly better with its characters and storylines. I think there’s acres of difference within its quality. Personally, as a diehard fan of the games, I don’t think having simply more Uncharted is for the best. I would happily take quality over quantity any day of the week. The film isn’t bad, but it isn’t good either it has this very bland middleground where I personally think the whole film is pretty pointless. It’s failed to express anything new, and just did a snapshot, subpar version of telling a well known story. But again, it’s a guaranteed Cashcow so of course still make another. If this was a completely original story, it wouldn’t nearly get as much box office, and it certainly wouldn’t be able to take so many liberties in it flimsy plot lines. This is just my opinion, your perfectly entitled to enjoy the film and get a lot from it, it just really wasn’t for me and I knew it way back when it was first announced. I still gave it a go.

Haven't seen it yet but based on reviews it makes me very sad... nothing against the actors tho. Based on the trailer it looks like they copy pasted some of the most iconic scenes of the games unto the movie...
The movie was pretty good not game level good but not 3/10 bad as well it was more like 7/10 imo. You sound like you wanted to not like it and are unnecessary harsh in your judgement. Go watch other movies or stick to the games. It has a 90% Rt audience rating for a reason.

I didn't watch the movie. I am a huge fan of the uncharted game series but watching Tom Holland as Nathan Drake is absolutely devastating. No matter how good the movie is if the casting is bad the movie wouldn't feel the same. Tom Holland might as well act as a 17 year old Nathen Drake but as adult Drake is a big no no. He doesn't look like Nathen Drake and that changes everything. I didn't expect this from Team Sony. It's based on a hit game series, if done right you could develop a movie series that's as good as the games. Conduct a survey to understand how gamers related the movie to the game.
As a huge fan of the games, I enjoyed the film. I do however wish that the movie, and any future movies (which I hope will be made) wouldn't rely so heavily on moments and characterizations lifted *straight* out of the games, and in the wrong places. Now if they bring Nadine Ross in, she will be seen as a copy of the VASTLY-inferior Braddock character. Also, If Reuben is going to adapt the amazing car chase, shot-for-shot... dude, just make it in the Uncharted 4 movie.
