- This video will introduce you to newly launched registration exam, RExPN for Practical Nurses in Canada for the provinces of Ontario and British Columbia. Also, it will provide in-depth description of its components, scoring criteria and some useful tips that may prove beneficial to pass this exam with flying colors.
This exam is set to take place starting from January 04th 2022 for CNO & BCCNM. All other Canadian provinces will still be using CPNRE until further notice.

Does the rexpn use conventional lab value units or international units example BUN 6-20 mg/dL conventional OR 2.1-7.1 mmol/L international
RExPN is a Canadian exam, so based on Internation Units (mmol/L).

I have done bsc nursing in New Zealand and have sat nz state exam in 2020. We do not have nclex here but state exam is same as nclex.Do I need to pass nclex for canada/ US? Please reply.

Under current scenario, unfortunately you will because, NZ do not have NCLEX-RN as license exam.

i heard you can work in the united states with this new Rex-PN license since its a US adaptation uses the same as NCLEX-PN computerized adaptive test. like its under the NCSBN. As far as i understand, they just made it US based so that RPN's (LPN) can travel to the states???
You would need to check with the regulatory body from States, where you want to work.

Hello mam, I have a question about the final review of bccnm. I have been waiting for a response from bccnm since 3, 4 months. Mam, is there possibility to add province ( Ontario) if I want to because I have only added BC . Do I needed to start a new application in NNAS? Waiting for your reply.

You can pass REX-PN or NCLEX-RN while being abroad but in order to obtain license and job, you will need a valid work permit/ status in Canada.

If you want to study nursing in Canada then you will have to take the pathway program first because you do not have all the required courses. Otherwise, you can take those course from back home, finish them and then apply for the direct admission.

@@sukhmantinna2824 we do not deal with immigration so will not be able to comment on visa approval or process. However, we do not see any reason that your student visa will not granted, as you are going to take part in the high in demand nursing diploma after pre-requisite courses.

If you are an Internationally Educated Nurse then there are assessments processes in place to assist. However, if you were not a nurse from home country then unfortunately you must complete the nursing education first in order to be eligible to write licensing exam.

Depending upon registration body that you will apply with. For Ontario, you will not be required to write English language proficiency test prior, you can write it any time before getting license. Hope it helps!
