- This Tutorial will go through what can be used instead of Extra Thin Cement and where to get it, seeing as it's hard to get a reasonably priced jar of it.

If you don't mind me saying, your sound levels between your intro and your microphone feed are out somewhat... 🤔
Edward Millership Thanks for that, I’ll look into it 👍👍👍
According to the MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) Tamiya Extra Thin Cement is 50% Butyl Acetate & 50% Acetone.
Thanks for the info 👍👍👍
@@BudgetModeller Tamiya airbrush cleaner is the same as their Extra Thin Cement.
@@eb311235 Thats quite scary if it is!
@@eb311235 bloody hell glad I've never put it into my airbrush! I can see it now " ooooh my air pressure has gone" looks to the hose that's lying there in a puddle... " Oh shiiii... 😱😂
In Indonesia, a wood glue solvent can be subtitute for modeling cement. Not sure about the substances. But it melt styrene just like tamiya cement.
Nice Danny 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
I wouldnt use pure acetone, it dries out the plastic, makes it brittle and your model would slowly disintegrate.
MEK is a solid performer that won't dry out styrene.
I used my home brew quick drying glue, which worked a treat. Ohhhh MEK!!! Methyl Ethyl Ketone!!! Horrid stuff!!!
I melt sprues in 100% acetone to make liquid green stuff 😁
Ohhh good Idea, I have a huge glass jar full of sprue off cuts...Mmmmm what could I do with that? Cheers :) God Damn it Caroline, ;) you've set my bloody brain off on a tangent and I'm trying to get a video done :)
