The Hindu metrics of time (Kaala Vyavahara) can be summarized as below:
      • a Lipta (लिप्ता) is approximately 0.4 seconds
      • a Vighati (विघटि) is 60 Liptas, or approximately 24 seconds
      • a Ghadika (घटि) is 60 Vighatis, or approximately 24 minutes
      • a Muhurta is equal to 2 Ghadikas, or approximately 48 minutes
      • a Nakshatra ahoratram (नक्षत्र अहोरत्रम्) or sidereal day is exactly equal to 30 Muhurtas (Note: A day is considered to begin and end at sunrise, not midnight.)
An alternate system described in the Vishnu Purana Time measurement section of the Vishnu Purana Book I Chapter III is as follows:
      100 Truti = 1 Tatpara
      30 Tatpara = 1 Nimesha
      15 Nimeshas = 1 Kásht́há
      30 Kásht́hás = 1 Kalá
      30 Kalás = 1 Kṣaṇa
      12 Kṣaṇa = 1 Muhúrtta
      30 Muhúrttas = 1 day (24 hours)
      30 days = 1 month
      6 months = 1 Ayana
2 Ayanas = 1 year or one day (day + night) of the gods
Small units of time used in the Vedas
      • a Trasarenu is the combination of 6 celestial atoms.
      • a Truti is the time needed to integrate 3 Trasarenus, or 1/1687.5th of a second.
      • a Vedha is 100 Trutis.
      • a Lava is 3 Vedhas.
      • a Nimesha is 3 Lavas, or a blink.
      • a Kshanas is 3 Nimeshas.
      • a Kashthas is 5 Kshanas, or about 8 seconds.
      • a Laghu is 15 Kashthas, or about 2 minutes.
15 Laghus make one Nadika, which is also called a danda. This equals the time before water overflows in a six-pala-weight [fourteen ounce] pot of copper, in which a hole is bored with a gold probe weighing four masha and measuring four fingers long. The pot is then placed on water for calculation.
      2 Dandas make one Muhurta.
6 or 7 Dandas make one Yamah, or 1/4th of a day or night.
4 Praharas or 4 Yamas are in each day or each night.
      LUNAR METRICS
a tithi (also spelled thithi ) or lunar day is defined as the time it takes for the longitudinal angle between the moon and the sun to increase by 12°. Tithis begin at varying times of day and vary in duration from approximately 19 to approximately 26 hours.
a paksa (also paksha) or lunar fortnight consists of 15 tithis
a masa or lunar month (approximately 29.5 days) is divided into 2 pakshas: the one between new moon and full moon is called gaura (bright) or shukla paksha; the one between full moon and new moon krishna paksha
      a ritu is 2 masa
      an ayanam is 3 rituhs
      a year is 2 Aayanas
      TROPICAL METRICS
      a Yaama (याम) = 1/4th of a day(light) or night [ = 7½ Ghatis (घटि) = 3¾ Muhurtas (मुहूर्त) = 3 Horas (होरा) ]
4 Yaamas 1 half of the day (either day or night)
      8 Yaamas 1 day (day + night)
an Ahoratram is a tropical day (Note: A day is considered to begin and end at sunrise, not midnight.)
Reckoning of time among other entities
Reckoning of time amongst the pitrs.
1 human day = 1/30 day of the pitrs
30 days of human is 1 month of human = 1 day of the pitrs
12 months of human = 1 year of the pitrs
The lifespan of the pitrs is 100 years of the pitrs (= 3,600 human years)
Reckoning of time amongst the Devas.
1 human year = 1 day of the Devas.
30 days of the Devas = 1 month of the Devas.
12 months of the Devas = 1 year of the Devas
The lifespan of the Devas is 100 years of the Devas (= 36,000 human years)
The Vishnu Purana Time measurement section of the Vishnu Purana Book I Chapter III explains the above as follows:
2 Ayanas (six month periods, see above) = 1 year or one day (day + night) of the devas
360 days of the devas = 1 year of the devas
12,000 years of the devas = 4 Yugas
      Reckoning of time for Brahma.
12,000 years of the Devas = 1 day of Brahma (4320,000,000 human years). This day is divided into 10, 000 parts called charanas.
The charanas are divided as follows:
      The Four Yugas
4 charanas (1,728,000 solar years) Satya Yuga
3 charanas(1,296,000 solar years) Treta Yuga
2 charanas(864,000 solar years) Dwapara Yuga
1 charanas(432,000 solar years) Kali Yuga
The cycle repeats itself so altogether there are 1000 cycles of yugas in one day of Brahma.
One cycle of the above four yugas is one mahayuga (4.32 billion solar years)
A manvantara consists of 71 mahayugas (306,720,000 solar years). Each Manvantara is ruled by a Manu.
After each manvantara follows one Sandhi Kala of the same duration as a Krita Yuga (1,728,000 = 4 Charana). (It is said that during a Sandhi Kala, the entire earth is submerged in water.)
A kalpa consists of a period of 1,728,000 solar years called Adi Sandhi, followed by 14 manvantaras and Sandhi Kalas.
      A day of Brahma equals
      (14 times 71 mahayugas) + (15 x 4 Charanas)
      = 994 mahayugas + (60 Charanas)
      = 994 mahayugas + (6 x 10) Charanas
      = 994 mahayugas + 6 mahayugas
      = 1000 mahayugas
as is confirmed by the Gita statement
      "sahasra-yuga paryantam ahar-yad brahmano viduH",
meaning, a day of brahma is of 1000 (maha-)yugas. Thus a day of Brahma, kalpa, is of duration: 4.32 billion solar years. Two kalpas constitute a day and night of Brahma
30 days of Brahma = 1 month of Brahma (259,200,000,000 human years)
12 months of Brahma = 1 year of Brahma (3,110,400,000,000 human years)
25 years of Brahma = 1 kalpa (77,760,000,000,000 human years)
      2 kalpas = 1 parardha (155,520,000,000,000 human years)
2 parardhas = 100 years of Brahma, the lifespan of Brahma (311,040,000,000,000 human years)
The Vishnu Purana Time measurement section of the Vishnu Purana Book I Chapter III explains the above as follows:
360 days of the gods = 1 year of the gods
12,000 years of the gods = 4 Yugas
1,000 sets of 4 Yugas = a day of Brahmá
      50 years of Brahma = 1 Pararddham
      100 years of Brahma = 1 Param
      4,000 + 400 + 400 = 4,800 years = 1 Krita Yuga
      3,000 + 300 + 300 = 3,600 years = 1 Tretá Yuga
      2,000 + 200 + 200 = 2,400 years = 1 Dwápara Yuga
      1,000 + 100 + 100 = 1,200 years = 1 Kali Yuga
Alternately, the reigns of 7 Rishis, Indra and Manu = 1 Manwantara = 71x12,000+A (A is not given) = 852,000 years of the gods+A (A is not given)
      14 Manwantaras = a day of Brahmá
VEDIC TIME UNITS GREATER THAN A KALPA
Ancient vedic cosmology takes into account handful of time spans which are even greater than one Kalpa or a day of Brahma. One such unit is a "Maha-Kalpa" which is composed of 36000 such days of Brahma. One Maha-Kalpa is considered as the lifetime of Brahma. There are time units which are larger than one Maha-Kalpa. The largest of them has been calculated as several quadrillions of human years. This precise and massive calculations indicate one important aspect of vedic time system, that, whenever the term "Infinity" has been mentioned in Vedas, it does not indicate something very large. Instead, it appears that the term is meant to refer its literal synonym itself.

I also saw a really huge wheeled chariot or cart which was broken down in a narrow back street which looked like it was broken and in disrepair. It was 30-35 feet tall and still painted. I am assuming it was built within the last 100-200 years. What amazed me was its size and engineering technicality. Being a former archaeology student and an artist I can truly appreciate what you are looking at and I am open-minded enough to not dismiss and right of things that do not match our cultural perception and cognitive dissonance. It could be zoology, engineering, history of mankind itself....where rationalist like Praveen takes you to amazing observations, that's simply brilliant. He weaves a stone onto a gem unobserved by millions over centuries and says that West is not after all that inventor intelligent ...who only index wrongly (time) conclude wrongfully(alien) ... Just wanted to make an observation on the middle part of the video about the spherical ‘tank’ behind the horse drawn tank (or wagon). If you look there are two people inside the ‘wheels’ and two standing on the wheels. Like a hamster wheel the people in the wheels would provide locomotion the the vehicle with extra locomotion added by the two on top walking like a treadmill. I would assume the two on top were the soldiers, only providing assistance to locomotion when needed, their main objective being battle first. Just explaining what I see and common sense and observation telling me this was a very functional vehicle. =)

Awesome, good to have you back. I learned of the bridge between India and sri lanka and watched the epic story/history? of it. On first mention of the army of 10,000 monkey men that built the bridge, I instantly thought of Homo Habilus, or possibly even Paranthropus Robustus. The Robustus hominid had a large'ish skull with a mohawk like protrusion going over the top. Both species were walking the earth 2 million years ago, according to the anthropology I learned in college, so their existence is generally accepted.

The round vehicle at @ might make more sense if primarily considered from a top view. Then the round "wheels" could become afterburners. The bows and arrows become bullets and missiles. There is nothing he's not saying. He's clutching at straws. There are plenty of other open minded researchers that do a much better job at exploring ancient sites. People that can imagine a chariot that has panels on their sides, instead of claiming it's an ancient tank. A high technology contraption from which people shoot arrows. Come one, man.
Not to mention the "compound bow". He has absolutely no knowlege of archery, but is quick to make all the wrong assumptions.

    • @Agnet_Faze
      @Agnet_Faze 3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

@@gizmonomono Do you have a better point of view than him? Besides, in ancient Hindu scriptures, flying vehicles have been mentioned which is so weird since at that time one will say "how is that even possible because I think in ancient times, people were "uncivilised" or civilisation only just started at that time... so how come in scriptures such as Ramayana itself, flying vehicles were mentioned?

    • @gizmonomono
      @gizmonomono 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

@@Agnet_Faze I absolutely belive there were ancient advanced civilizations before the cataclysm 12000 years ago. But his conclusions are beyond naive. He takes everything as absolute proof. Even things that don't make sense. It's one thing being open minded. It's another thing to just blindly belive everything.
For example, his "compound bow" thing is absurd. If you know anything about bows, or physics you'll know that's not the layout of a functional bow. And in his previous video he mentions how the arrows were very thick. Which must mean they were rockets. No, it just means it's incredibly hard to carve rock to be as thin as an arrow. You probably could do it, but that rock will weather or break in time. And that's what happened to the "rocket" he mentioned.
Second, his conclusion that this "tank" vould not have been a chariot because you can't see the persons legs is just absurd. Take a look at roman or greek chariots. They have side panels. Meaning you cannot see the persons legs.
Also, there is such a thing as artistic freedom, and imagination. So not everything depicted on paintings and rock carvings was an actual historic depiction. Like the 4 trunk elephant. Clearly it's deppicting a deity. But Praveen claims this was an animal that went extinct millions of years ago. And that this carving proves it. That's just ridiculous. No proff whatsoever.
There are mindblowing temples and carvings in India, and all around the world that defy explanation. Precision work that should not be possible for ancient peoples This is something that actually demands more research, and not these carvings. We can look at them, admire them, but they don't prove shit. They are just taken out of context here.

    • @gizmonomono
      @gizmonomono 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

@@Agnet_Faze Do you want more? Praveen is just like mainstream academia, but on the opposite extreme. The great pyramid, or the pyramid of Khufu is only thought to be a tomb of Khufu because they found a small figurine of him close to the pyramid. So they concluded this has to be a tomb built for him. Which is a ridiculous assumption to make. And Praveen does the exact same thing with these carvings. He sees what he wants to see, and then draws conclusions. A true scientists admits he doesn't know something. And like these carvings, which are beautiful, and misterious, that figurine prooves nothing. All we can do is admire and respect them. If we start drawing quick conclusions about them, pretending they are proof of this or that, then we are no better than mainstream academia.

PraveenMohan: i’m a Christian person With no family roots in that part of Asia, and found this to be particularly fascinating. The different world religions are so busy pretending that nobody else knows anything, that they don’t take the time to look at what each other knows. I think when we finally understand things completely, we’ll see that all the old cultures had a little bit of the truth. Modern research is absolutely a good thing, but it seems like there’s a cult of scientific evolution it is absolutely married to certain ideas which have no foundation in geology or history. It’s truly mystifying how those who profess to believe in the empirical close their eyes to the inconvenient empirical at times. I say this as a person with a background and education in science.
You have provided a great deal of information within your presentation, that substantiates a lot of ancient Judaeo-Christian ideas. The ancients didn’t take the time to record things so painstakingly because they were fairytales. They had something important to commit to The world’s knowledge banks.
My limited experience of the sacred has shown me that very often, no matter how much work went into the outside of a sacred edifice, very often the inside is even more so. Is that true of ancient Hindu sacred buildings? And, is this old structure still in periodic use?
Somebody suggested doing an image scan of the entirety of the temple. I think it would also be great to do a little bit of GPR on the grounds. If that’s what’s above ground, what information would be stored below ground?
PS. This was sufficiently interesting that I subscribed. The videography was good and clear in capturing those images. Great job there. I can hardly wait to see what else Is in your videos! Thanks again! :-)

A very fascinating structure. Thank you for such a detailed explanation to someone like myself who has no knowledge of Hinduism. We live in a fascinating world and it would seem that ancient civilisations may have had advanced technology that we don't know anything about today, as you have shown in some of the carvings and figures. It all makes me wonder if mankind gets to some kind of advanced system of technology, then for some reason, he gets too smart and wipes himself out. You can see it happening today with humans wrecking the planet and wasting it. Today we have climate change resulting in a change of sea levels which could easily wipe out major cities and all the disasterous happenings that go with it. It would seem that civilisation as we know it and are experiencing today, might only be around for maybe another couple of hundred years and we will have messed up the planet so much that it will wipe out most of humanity as we know it. Even if it takes ten or twenty thousand years, which is nothing compared to the age of this planet, the earth will heal itself and start over again. You can also see evidence of this in the masterful ideas the ancient Egyptians have left. We don't know how they achieved such brilliance but we know that they certainly did. Then what happened? They and the rest of the world at one time, wiped itself out and the earth had to heal and start over. It is plain to see this happening today and I'm not being pessimistic about it but it's just the way that mankind seems to go. A great video and very informative.

The point here Iam very much sorry for your ignorance on ancient details in Sanskrit text on Egyptians! The founder as written in hieroglyphs of Egypt was Asa Manja! This is exactly written in ancient list of Solar kings Ra or Raghu dynasty of ancient India! You people dont know is that India was more than 10,000 years old civilization with continuity! Not only that is more details on Asa Manja on his leaving reason from ancient India with his followers which was happened more than 7000 years ago! Not only all ancient recorded names of Egypt in Sanskrit ex. Neela for nile or Aigupta for Egypt! But, truly many Western experts were known this but their religious bias and egoistic arrogance made them to twist the truth! The U mark on Pyramid builders forehead still you see on statues recovered from Egypt which was Vedic symbol worn still today by t High caste Hindus in India! Sincere question in any world history or any Europeans have any idea of this U symbol worn by Egyptians! Western mindset creating always death and destruction! For you people Hitler only very bad but you are with your twisting history and evading Hindu true history in your school bools purposely with lies are very good people!
