Fantastic video. Such a great idea. I have arthritis and hand stitching would be difficult for me. This is genius. You are also a great presenter. So clear and precise. Lovely voice and presentation. So appreciated!
Beautiful. How about the regular pinch pleat on heavy fabric. I could never find a good needle capable to do it by hand without hurting myself. Please help
-I notice that on your drapery panel you do not have a double fold header. Can you still do this technique with a double fold header with buckram? It is on an unlined blackout drapery panel. What would you suggest? -Also, I am going to use this technique with an unlined linen fabric for cafe curtains ( we want light filtering through but need some privacy) again, what do you recommend for the header and even the hem for this application? Would you use sausage bead at the bottom or a traditional hem. The panels will be 25 inches long.
Hi Florence, Thanks for your comment. You can get in-depth training on Susan's techniques by taking her online class. Link is below! workroomchannel.pathwright.com/library/hand-crafted-interlined-draperies/about/
This would have been a great video if you had closer video of actual sewing and possibly use dark thread to make more visual Could not tell what you were sewing
