I love how it turned out, it’s very cute and practical. Have you ever made the Townsend Travel bag by Sallie Tomato? I made one for my mom’s Mother’s Day gift, she happened to be going on a trip the same week. I definitely blundered a few parts, particularly the order of operations for attaching the bottom of the train case, but I was able to fix it. I bet a tutorial from you for that pattern would be amazing. I watched ST’s tutorial like 5 times but there are a few steps that are confusing.
Hello! Would it have worked if you sewed all your darts, then put wrong sides together and sewed leaving an opening. Then pull it through the opening and close the hole when you sew it on the front exterior, then there would be no raw edges.

Wait I didn't realize that the lining is attached to the two layers, so that probably wouldn't work

You could certainly try! Unfortunately they’re a bit vague. I end up using the pieces and not reading much except for suggested seam allowances
