Me and the community absolutely appreciate you and the extreme hard works and effort you put in. It shows only you and one other channel I know shows such amazing updates that are in depth. Keep it up 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻❤️❤️❤️❤️
Update as of June 18th: -Fencing at Slone Station is gone and the platform looks completed -All Mount Plesent Station entrances has the station sinage from the exterior -All Chaplin Station entrances has the station sinage from the exterior -Testing has resumed on the surface level.
Love the dedication time and effort put into this I work beside the eglinton yonge station (my office is a short walk from the station) I just drive to work cuz the station interior looks so horrible:/ I've taken transit a few times.. hopefully project is done asap
I appreciate this timely update, as I’ve been growing weary of the Eglinton Crosstown project as time has gone by. Here’s hoping the Crosstown line opens next year as planned.
There still seems to be a big ' hole ' in the planning . ! Crossing Caledonia A N D the near-by rail line { U/G ? ] And on to the hill at Richardson . Will the tracks be laid on a down-hill [up-hill ] gradient , same as existing road-way ? ? Are the LRT vehicles able to handle such a grade ?
I have heard there are issues at Yonge and Eglinton that affect the completion of track installation, issues they didn't consider when planning. Have you heard anything? The people who live near this intersection and use the subway regularly are seriously fed up and angry.
Is there going to be improvements for station signage? I find the generic glass box station buildings with the name faintly behind the glass makes it hard to see if it’s a station/name of it. Not good wayfinding
The signage at stations is final unless the TTC is able to change it but there are signs above every door which is similar to the current TTC standard. The names on the glass walls are much more for artistic purposes than wayfinding
If they ever get this thing open, we'll discover that all those expensive, overhead electric cables will be replaced as batteries are installed in the vehicles. Sheer genius.
The stations on Eglinton should definitely have been built with more housing on top. Luckily, a lot of Ontario Line stations are being built with TOD's
I really appreciate your time and dedication to documenting the progress. Fingers crossed that they can finish next year.
they better finish that shit this year
If it's not done they should literally just destroy it and start over.
@@DokisKalin1 💀
@@DokisKalin1they already did that long ago with the filling of the original tunnels for the eglinton subway lol. go look it up
Thank you for this update!! You're way better at this than Metrolinx lol

Thanks for the support!
Thanks for the re-upload. Much better audio!

You do you. No need to apologize, every upload is appreciated
These videos are informative and interesting, thanks for helping discover infrastructure progress in an easy way, much appreciated ✌️♥🇬🇧
I'm glad you enjoy them!

The Finch West LRT will be opened before this Eglinton one.
Let's hope the crosslinx sueing thing doesn't frick this!
Hope not!
I just want this done the point of a project is to start it and finish it not just to start it then………………………….
my gs underrated af
welp sloane station has now finished repairs when i last visited it
That's good to hear! It took me a while to get this video out but I think the repairs happened for most of May

Thanks for the update. What will happen to the old Eglinton West Station, as it looks old and tired, and contrasts with the new entrances ??
Hopefully it'll get a makeover but parts of the old station are getting cleaned up a little. Other than that, it'll still be operational
I have heard there are issues at Yonge and Eglinton that affect the completion of track installation, issues they didn't consider when planning. Have you heard anything? The people who live near this intersection and use the subway regularly are seriously fed up and angry.
I haven't heard anything recently but I know there have been some issues with track installation
Curious why the station at Yonge-Eglinton is called Eglinton instead of being called Yonge? Considering it's running on Eglinton Ave for most of it?
Not sure why the name wasn't changed but I agree that Yonge-Eglinton would have made more sense

Will they open Mount Dennis for GO and UP express regardless of crosstown ?
For now the plan is to open both at the same time
the website for the eglinton crosstown is down..
When there's an update
Likely within the next month or two, I have a few videos planned to be published before then
@2:34 Getting bitched at for filming near buddy's curry stand.
This is ridiculous. 3 years overdue. Who's paying for the overrun! Surely there were penalties associated to this contract.
If they ever get this thing open, we'll discover that all those expensive, overhead electric cables will be replaced as batteries are installed in the vehicles. Sheer genius.
I am seeing to much wasted space around the stations that Metrolinx and the city of Toronto could use for affordable housing and retail.
The stations on Eglinton should definitely have been built with more housing on top. Luckily, a lot of Ontario Line stations are being built with TOD's
They said maybe 2025
NOOOOOO. Really? that's humiliating.
Cool video, but you should probably avoid huffing helium when you do your voiceover.
Total waste of money, much better used to comp!ete Sheppard subway crosstown
Remember kids, It's not public transit if it's not fare-free.
