Considering gameloft charging so much for moonstones I'm not shocked ppl are hacking. For me it's coming close to ending play as I want premium items but its just too expensive
Totally understand people who go for that. Because DDLV crashes all the time and has horrible bags. It is so disgusting for prices they set for their in game purchase items.
Idk it does have me wanting to get these premium shop items for free after they gave us so very little this community event 😅 but i do know that would be very wrong and unfair to the people who buy the items every week. But theres always going to be someone to hack a game one way or another. So kudos to whoever got themselves free items! Ill continue to do dreamsnaps and save up slowly, one thing Gameloft wont catch me doing is purchasing moonstones from them.
Hey now! True story 😄. I couldn't justify spending real money on a video game you already paid for in one way or another. If more of us said " no premium shop purchasing ". The devs/Gameloft might try something different 🤷♀️

I'm still having issues with the community event. Like, everytime I go to talk to whichever character to accept the quest, it doesn't catch or it catches, and then the next day it starts over (talk to character, accept quest) sooooo I haven't been participating 😅 Very much disappointed considering I waited so long after it came out, just to purchase the game and it have so many issues.. also, the Gameloft intro into the game glitches/flashes as it is loading up... not a fan of that either.

Little do they know they're just supporting a broken game, and it won't change a thing about what they're doing. If everyone said "no more premium shop purchases," they'd totally do something about it. Unfortunately, people will continue to keep purchasing the items.
@@margokwiatkowski3021 the thing is they have to fund the game somehow, otherwise it’d be a game like animal crossing new horizons. Ditched and no new content anymore except for very small stuff. They are giving us more crafting stuff, more paths missions,, more reason to still play the game and they have to fund that somehow. Hence the premium shop but they are just greedy at this point!
I've opened quite a few of these. 4 I believe. Absolutely no issues with my game. So happy with all of the stuff I got. Not only do you get every single premium shop item from certain weeks, but you get lots of other random companions and stuff from scrooges shop as well. I look forward to getting more.
There was a confirmed email someone showed that GAMELOFT doesn’t do anything to the player getting it only the person making them not duping but the person coding the chests
I'm not surprised in the slightest that this is happening. you see the same thing happening with the sims games because of how greedy companies like EA and gameloft are. There are so many websites to allow you to get Sims 3 store items for free, and programs to get every Sims 4 pack for free with basically no risk in breaking your game. It was honestly just a matter of time before it began happening in DDLV. Especially after how expensive the premium shop has gotten and it's harder to "break even" with dreamsnaps to actually purchase what you want each week, it was gonna happen eventually.
Oh wow, I have been travelling so not as in touch with the game ATM and this is the first I had heard of this. I will avoid these but also makes me more reluctant to spend real life money to purchase premium items
@@BadWolfGirl626 it’s a cool game, but they’re putting way too many paywalls. They’ve incentivized people so much to use real money for the game that it has turned into a pay-to-win game. Even the season tournaments, which are Disney movie-themed e/o, have lots of levels locked behind high leveled-up characters that are impossible to get or reach without paying great amounts of money. There’s not much to do if you don’t pay to access the season tournament, the previous season passes or characters. Recently, they made a huge update with the current season (Wreck-It-Ralph), and fans expected the update to fix some of those pay-to-win requirements and make the game more flexible. Turns out they changed the entire leveling up system and it’s even worse. :)
LOL speaking of hacking... that dreamsnaps with all the scrooge dimes looks sus to me, J/S. Maybe not hacking but definitely a duplication mod IMO. If they would lower their premium store prices they would have less stealing going on in the game. I'm sure they are used to it being a mobile gaming company. In the old mobile game that this game was built on (The Sims mobile that I used to play years ago), you could pay someone $10 to hack your account and basically give you $100's of ingame currency (moonstone equivalent). I'm guessing GL figured out a way around that. Hackers gonna hack tho.
Why do you assume it's sus? You can craft Scrooge dimes at the timebending table. Yes it takes a lot of glimmer, but they could've been farming it daily or just go to a treasure valley/gifted some by their friends
I made 10 Scrooge dimes just by changing everyone to timebenders & dismantling a bunch of stuff to craft the pedestal fragments, and going to the 8 realms every day - doubt it’s a mod personally

Oh no i got one on both of my accounts. I forgot about it when i got it and left it in my Valley. Only to open it by accident days later as my blue chest had span next to it. Did have almost everything in that chest except 3 items. I bought everything with my Moonstones over the time except 3 items. Did not have any problems with the game so far. Just hope it stays that way.
If anyone is interested in the chests just go on twitch and type in treasure valleys. You’ll find them. I don’t wanna post the @ in case it’s under investigation 👀
There's a creator named butterfly she had a treasure valley Friday I believe and someone came and dropped off a bunch of blue chests with premium shop items without butterflys knowledge
I used to always get 3 blue chests and I did log in every single day to collect chests. Since the update in December I've only had 1 a day spawn for me for a bit. Then I did forget a day or so here and there and now I do get 3 a day because I don't collect chests daily anymore. I do remember someone said it wasn't possible and that I was lucky to get 3 blue chests everyday. Glad I wasn't the only one. I do play on switch so maybe it was a bug for some?
People have been finding ways to "cheat" at different games for years. It's not a new practice. These chests are just something new for this particular game. There's several mods out that help people acquire dreamlight and mist, increase their inventory supplies etc. If you go to those "mass markets" that can be open every single day there's a huge chance that someone modded those items and did not grind for them all. I said chance, not guarantee. My games not broken and I've opened 4 of them. It was already running super slow at times before I opened a blue chest from one of the "treasure valleys." Before anyone comes at me, I already know "shame, shame." 😉
One is giving away resources that are free and gained through grinding and the other is giving away items that have an option to be acquired for real💲.

It almost sounds like a gimmick because if you can’t tell the difference before you pick it up, people are going to become paranoid of opening up the normal blue chest. That’s really sad.
Personally I think there is a difference between duping resources and these “premium chests” I have not come across any of them thankfully and don’t plan to look for them

Big difference is if you don't get awarded lots of moonstones, you have to pay real money. In Animal Crossing it was hours saved but not actual money. For Dreamlight Valley players who try really hard on dreamsnaps and only get the low amounts, this will be very tempting.

Then my two friends who I played with, one of them got pregnant and gave me her account and the other one, just didn't get into it, so I ended up with 4 accounts on my Steam Deck...and get this, on the LAST DAY of the Founder's Packages, I had this nostalgic feeling about having one that I could restart anytime I felt like that and bought yet another Ultimate Pack with some credits I had. 😂 This time, I wen't nuts and did the Star Path for ALL of them! Never again lol.

Hi, so true. I've been checking back here to see if it's even real because I haven't seen anything from anyone anywhere... yet 😅 I've changed my mind tho. I don't think I'd do it now because people are saying it's too risky but then, on the flip side, those that have/had the blue chest are saying it's fine, but hmm 🤔 I'm sus it may be fake, until I see it with my own eyes 👀
@@candacequinlin in my case I have 2 accounts so if it risks one of them then at least I have another. That’s the best way to test the theory. I don’t think you can get into much trouble especially if you make a claim of accepting one by accident for not knowing. I’m just really trying to get my hands on these chests.
I'd honestly run the other way of this chest. My valley isn't that great but I wouldn't want to risk having my save and valley corrupted by all those items. If I really want the premium shop items I'll pick up some moonstones and get them, I'd rather miss out and hope items recycle back into the shop than get one of these "super chests"

My moonstone chests have been glitched, I used it get 3 a day and I’m lucky if I get one. It’s still a sad day for switch players lol

How do you know the difference between a moonstone chest and one of these hacked chests? Is there a marked difference?
The only difference is when you pick it up, in your inventory it shows as Merlin’s welcome package

red chest are dreamsnap rewards that drop either clothes or furniture depending

Then my two friends who I played with, one of them got pregnant and gave me her account and the other one, just didn't get into it, so I ended up with 4 accounts on my Steam Deck...and get this, on the LAST DAY of the Founder's Packages, I had this nostalgic feeling about having one that I could restart anytime I felt like that and bought yet another Ultimate Pack with some credits I had. 😂 This time, I wen't nuts and did the Star Path for ALL of them! Never again lol.

@@candacequinlin in my case I have 2 accounts so if it risks one of them then at least I have another. That’s the best way to test the theory. I don’t think you can get into much trouble especially if you make a claim of accepting one by accident for not knowing. I’m just really trying to get my hands on these chests.

I'd honestly run the other way of this chest. My valley isn't that great but I wouldn't want to risk having my save and valley corrupted by all those items. If I really want the premium shop items I'll pick up some moonstones and get them, I'd rather miss out and hope items recycle back into the shop than get one of these "super chests"
