Do this a few time then ask if it's cool if yall are neighbors. I made a hemp farm in my neighbor's front yard and they accepted me immediately

Not getting attached to your base and loot is a great tip, the first couple times I got raided by people way more built than me, I got very angry. I forgot I was playing just to have fun
I'm working in that myself lol. My brother and I just lost eight stacks of wood and stone, several guns, thousands upon thousands of clith etc due to getting offline raided. Infuriating lol

Most times that jus comes with playtime if you have the mental fortitude to get to that point😂

Good tips for beginners, or people with basic bases.
Rush barrels smash em
Collect rope for cotton and tarp dont bother finding hemp.
Find a scrap station, lighthouse is good i find generally.
This is an easy way to get the basic clothes and bow, banadages etc.
The tunnels have some pretty useful gear down there but you'll have to fight the dwellers which have aggressive and accurate aim. Great for scrap runs.
You can also jump down the elevators hug the wall and spam jump and not die.
Have a basic house until you can get enough scrap for a fortified wall. Its not worth investing walls on base if your doors are trash imo.

I was coming back from doing the Launch Site puzzle, when some farm bot for some clan came up to me and started running away. I told him to “Wait, wait I’m good. I’m a good guy.” Then told him that I had a gun I don’t need anymore. When he crept up closer and stood still in front of me I sent a volley of bullets to his face. I can barely trust myself to be trusted, so what makes anyone think to trust an armed man.
I actually un-ironically love the last tip. It will be by far the most useful! Always keep in mind that in a game like rust you can always come back from the worst! And you are supposed to lose sometimes
Just started playing this and my neighbours are a massive clan with a huge base with fuck tons of auto turrets etc and they helped me move my house and stuff closer and even gave me heaps of supplies and my own turret.
The clan knows about me and I wear a pumpkin on my head so they know it’s me and not to shoot.
just happened to me last wipe we met a zerg and they let us live right outside there compound if we farmed sulfor. we did and they gave us t3 and some LRs. we got raided after we succesfully defended an offline.

For tip 19 you can also get crude oil and wood you can use a oil refinery to make low grade (you can find it at bandit camp)

Tips i’ve got maybe not mentioned in vid:
1. Make stone base immediately
2. Make your first base small and preferably next to a big tribe that’s not toxic (I always get away with being in the area cause they don’t think i have anything)
3. Play naked when spying. If they roof camping they will kill you and you will lose loot so come with naked loot.
4. Make tools immediately to gather resources, then a base, then a bow and spear and some gear but after that make base.
5. Always loot crates and go to monuments when getting radiation proof equipment
6. If someone is raiding you, always wait for them. Never attack the attacker.
7. when you die to a player, don’t even think about getting your loot back, accept it it’s wasted time to go for it.
8. Hide the fact you’ve got guns and hazzies if your neighbours to bigger groups.
9. Don’t talk to anyone when running up on them, always go for the kill never make small talk with someone in the open.
10. (Last tip i’ve got time to write) When you get the loot run. Just run for it don’t think for a second that if you wait he will come back and you will “Make a play”. Your not blooprint or frost your just braindead at that point

1. M thompson, semi, smg, mp5, 2 dbs, 2 hazzies, 11k stone, a lotta bullets, a small base, 3 airlocks. Research, wb 1, and some crates, obv i got furnace and scrap and all that small stuff.

I played naked, spied on my neighbours who i am protectes from due to the fact my other neighbours are alpha and non toxic. I got my friend to loot them when they were fighting and he got sum guns, Then i went in there after someone died and everythinf was looted and looked for guns that slid away. I found the mp5 next to the fully looted guys hand

I always find a group of people pre game to team with mainly close buds, the loot gets bigger so does greed💀
Don’t trust in rust
Especially not the naked rockman with nothing to lose and everything to gain from trying to kill you.

After not playing for a year for good reason, I decided to give it ago again. Played for 3ish days only to sign in to find my 2 bases on opposite sides of the map demoed. Taking another year off lol

I just ate all my neighbors pumpkins then destroyed his plants, he tore my base down so we're still not even.
Helpful tip: People take shit like that wayyyy to seriously. Don't run straight back home but make a loop.

Me and my friends found a nice little rock outcropping, and set up a base. Little did I know that I set up right next to an outpost, satellite, and airfield. So far in 1 day have got raided once, gonna be an interesting wipe
we had a team do this next to us, sadly for them the top of our base has an overhang that hides about 4 turrets... they didnt hang out for long

I keep trying to make friends with my neighbours they are also solos want someone to team with to try get near end game but I always find naked people at my door with spears thinking they can raid 🤣
I actually managed to spear raid once, he had a hazmat and a double barrel. The wall exposed the weak side so a few spears let me in

I cant have fun in this game I was just playing earlier had the best start I've ever had guns like DBs semis and water pipes but I was coming out of my base and 2 guys waiting and I die then lose everything hours of stuff & I tried again just now same exact thing happend

Db nerd sat at my base for 2 hours before leaving. If you are having troubles with this, use a camp fire and use it. If you have 75 comfort, someone is near
First time playing today was doing well had a couple small boxes full of decent stuff even had a crossbow! Had a nice wood 2x2 and the MOMENT I finally built it and locked it I got raided by random dudes, I didn’t even have a chance
Yea I bought the Xboxone version with skins and it’s tough but I only have gotten few bases down but never lasts long I need a team to help lmao

Yesterday someone found me & my sister farming mats, & he comes over with a shotty, says “I’m gonna kill ya both”, as i pull out my metal axe to try & knock this dude, he throws us a gun, ammo, food, & mats, says “actually for you guys I’ll give ya this stuff”. then leaves. I was so ready to knock the kid with my axe 😂
I started on a decent size server. I had to switch to a small server. Just to get the hang of it. Only 60 people 80 the most. Everyone was really helpful. I get this isn't the real game. I'm scared to leave my happy little server lol but I still think this is best for us newbs

What’s the best starter gun when you first log into a server? I’ve been playing the game off and on for about a month now and I STILL haven’t even handled a gun
We've got a how to get guns video which should help you out! As for starter guns, the double barrel, the pump shotgun and the Thompson SMG are all a good about and pretty easy to use
A bow is a solid place to start I think also try and do lots of little runs for scrap.. Get about 500 buy and research a pistol or shotty.and ammo. Then make a level 1 or level 2 workbench.. Hopefully you got two furnaces going with metal and sulphur.. Make gun power make bullets make gun
The worst feeling in tbis game is having your base stolen after 6 hours of working on it,its one the when someone raids it and takes your goodies but when they take it for themselves thats just a low blow.This happened to me twice in the last 2 days.

Ive taken this first month since its a monthly server to get used to pvp and experimenting with raiding bases whenever Im not farming loot
Starting is damn near Impossible with my friends like 5 of us still can’t get goin stone hard asf to find hemp too everyone base is so close proximity we just get killed by ppl one shot by better Meele weapons it’s brutal

Play on lower population server I play solo and I’ve gotten a pretty good base down and got some guns

What buttons do you press to demolish buildings? I can never break my buildings even if I place them right away
With the hammer look at the wall and hold X on Xbox should say demolish.
You can't break upgraded ones
When a wall has been recently placed go up to it with the hammer out and holt and search the demolish option. Have Fun Trust Nobody 😁

I have tried to play on multiple servers but as soon as I get in the game and wake up on the beach it sends me back to the menu? Did something get corrupted with my download or am I hitting some kind of main menu button on my controller or what? Does anyone know?

When you log off, go to somewhere hidden first so there is much less of a chance of being raided
Ark and rust are actually pretty similar. But in rust, the npcs and animals aren’t the biggest threat 😂 I had a squeaker come up to me and drop me a Thompson. Thought he was being nice. He then proceeded to eoka my ass

I recently got rust for Christmas I’ve been playing a lot like I almost have 2-3 hundred hours I find it really fun I just feel I don’t have good game sense and I wanna get better but most the people I play with I’ve found along the way and they mostly dim or zen I’m debating getting one but I don’t think I should. I’m mostly just trying to have a good time and play the game until I get offlined that’s when a few words I should day is slip out over all its a good game and can get really harsh sometime. Just have fun tho.
I finaly managed as a new player on console to build a base, full metal. Finaly research bench 2 got up to handgrenades, went out to get some more scrap to get better, instead of raiding me they literally took over my base. Now I need 500 scrap again to invent another bench2 just to get new blue prints. Fml

It spawns usually on hill sides or hill areas or desert areas it usually never spawns on beaches

guys try to make friends with people so u can give each other stuff but be careful giving them access to ur things because they can inside u and take everything
Cloth is always hard to get people Re constantly after it
4:18 this is incorrect, if you shoot into the area from outside of the area, you'll be shot regardless if you've switched away from a weapon and if you approach the area with a weapon, it will automatically swap off of that item

I don’t get it. No matter what server I join it runs at like 20 FPS. Do you have to be on next gen to play this because I have good internet connection and yet every battle I get into results in the game running like crap
Spent 3 hours gaining materials, building a base stone base to stash weapons before researching only to log off and come back the next day to find someone moved into my base loot me blind & put a door in front of my resource cabinet and locked me out.
Humiliating but I learn another lesson each time I play.
I'm not having a good time on this game been playing for a month now and can't get myself a decent base down
Every time I leave my base I die within 3 minutes by people with ak who take my tools and my bow so I’m soft locked out of the rest of the game because I can’t gather anything without not making it home and I can’t move either because of the same reasons
I swear, I spent a day making a full stone base with guns and traps and I log off only to find the next day it’s been offline raided

Spend time rushing to metal tier base, with a metal tier door. I did that before focusing on scrap and weapons and no one raided me.
Did you have wood doors still? If you go to bed while having wooden doors you probably won’t wake up

Logged off, got raided. Doors where missing as was everything else, even my rug man..... But how?
@@jj5106they likely satcheled/c4'd your base or used rockets/explosive ammo to break your doors down.
When you die at any camp how long do you have until your bag desponds?
Anybody else experiencing a lot of lag? If so, it feels like network lag but also with a bit of frame rate lags mixed in but all other games I play my ping is fine so I'm not sure what the problem is. Does anybody know if that's a common issue and if it will get fixed?
it prolly will get fixed the reason we lag is if u a ps4 or old ps4 but if u have a ps5 it wont lag that much and dont play on a big tv play on a small monitor or something and usually your wifi too

Practice makes perfect bro, line up a small rock and practice shooting from different distances when your steadily hitting your target go further out again
