Never complain to me about the city not being able to feed the homeless again with feral hogs and "overfeeding" ducks. We could have Thanksgiving and Chinese new year every week!
Hispanic parents need to teach the kids not to bother wildlife, I've seen to many on their phone while 2 year old Jose and Maria are throwing rocks at them.
They arent ugly! And too many? A lot of people go to the park TO see the ducks. They arent hurting anyone and watching them waddle around brings people, especially children, a lot of joy. With all the crime in Houston, why would you ask people to stop doing something that actually makes them happy?
My understanding is that it's bad because: An overpopulation can be bad for the environment (other food sources can diminish, migratory birds will have a hard time finding food/shelter in the park), and some common foods like bread are very bad for the ducks. Personally, I take literal duck food whenever i go and just feed a few. I definitely see the problem, but of course there is bigger issues in the city like crime, homelessness, inflation, etc. If only people could feed ducks actual food
One of those ugly ducks attacked me when I was 6 years old because I wouldn’t give him any more of my French fries . To this day I’m terrified of them .

Or, tell people to stop releasing their domestic Muscovy ducklings once they get big. Domestics only get to a city park by being intentionally released. If you can't care for a duck once it grows up, don't buy ducklings.
Lol 😂 I see people feeding the ducks 🦆 at Hermann Park all the time. I thought 💭 about feeding them because I had some cheerios left over that I never finished. I usually walk in the park and really just didn’t want to carry anything extra with me. It’s enough just trying to keep up with my phone 📱, headsets, etc. I have noticed the signs 🪧 asking not to feed the ducks 🦆. Lol 😂 that’s funny 😄
Lol the Muscovy duck is the most broody breed of duck, and are used by farmers because they don't get of there nest. Feeding them has no influence on there population.
