Thank you! I needed this. I made 3 stockings 30-40 years ago and didn't have loose sequins but just made one and got loose sequins. I don't know why but thank you for your help.
I now do a tacking stitch first then the sequin and bead then another tacking stitch under them with a double knot. I also sew beads twice with a single strand. Hate loose embellishments, I have a cross stitch piece under glass with a couple of flopped over beads, didn't know better how to securely sew them on years ago!
