Oh man, you found Khemmis! I love this band! This whole album is amazing. It tells a story from beginning to end and this is the last song. You should check out Beyond the Door and Candlelight. The Bereaved is another amazing song.

These guys came up on my recommended list on Spotify and I was absolutely blown away. They have such a unique and captivating sound, I instantly knew they would be my favorite band after a single listen. Then I had the privilege to see them live in a small bar with maybe 150 people, I was about 6 feet away from the stage. The pure energy and technical prowess they pour into their music and performances is incredible, I cannot wait to see what they do next!

Love this band. They're so underrated. They don't have that one banger that will hook everyone, but they have a very high floor. All of their songs are pretty damn good with a lot of them really good.
I always pegged Khemmis as doom, but now hearing this song, I totally hear the stoner edge to the whole song. There is so much soul in The Hunted, and it is such great songwriting. I am not sure who the production team is that's attached but these dudes understand how to market this band. This is a great track. I don't hear black metal, though. Sorry. Thank you for sharing.

Never heard of this band, but they sound good. Looking them up I found this - Khemmis is an American doom metal band from Denver, Colorado, that formed in 2012. Amazing reaction man! You should check some other songs from Khemmis! The entire Hunted album is pretty good + The Bereaved from Absolution is their magnum opus for me, and you’ll probably like it too

Both titles work based on what the lyrics are talking about though haha.

i enjoy doom, particularly funeral doom, which i hope you can get to explore at some points, its very, very slow music, with very low BPM. sometimes slower is better
