I just recently released a 1 hour long Try Not to Headbang Challenge on my TH-cam channel! No one has beaten it yet if you would like to try to be the first! It would be awesome if you would react to it!
There’s an interview where Cody states how hard it is to come up with new metalcore riffs. I feel this has to happen for bands to grow. I will always love wage war. 🤘🏻
God all u people complaining already are insane. ITS JUST ONE SONG !!…maybe the rest of the album will be heavy tracks like ‘Death roll’ or at least a mixture of heavy and softer.
Exactly, this song hits deep in its own way. I think WW fans are getting comfortable with the heavy and I get it, but I love how flexible they are with their craft
@@tjrivelli5785 people just have different perspectives on the same band and it derivets more towards other people's opinion of music when talking about their older albums, so those same people wanna act all high and mighty about their opinion of a band as if it should be law when people need to just quit being so damn judgemental and stop projecting
Definitely attracted to the song. It's different from classics like Stitch or River, but it shows growth. "Consistency is the hobgoblin of small minds."
If circle the drain came out before high horse ppl would have complained back then. Wage War always makes both heavy and soft songs. Idk what’s complicated ab this to ppl. And personally I think this is way better than circle the drain
If you would have told me 5-6 years ago that in 2024 Hawthorne Heights would be putting out heavier music than Wage War I would have laughed in your face. But here we are 😂 Hawthorne Heights- The Storm check it out 👀

It's good, but what happened to the guys who wrote the river, stitch, low, etc? It's like they are trying to appeal to the radio audience and think that throwing in a breakdown will fully satisfy their old fans...
75% of manic was heavy… what are u talking about. Just b/c they make a few songs like this every once in a while, doesn’t mean they’re gonna stay like this. It’s a good song, not every song has to be super heavy bro
@@Birdgang3I'd agree with you point if this wasn't the first single. This should be a lead in track that gets fans hyped for the next album. It should be the most Wage War thing they could drop and it's exactly what people didn't like about the last 2 albums.
@@barbellbryce I agree, it shouldn’t have been the lead single, I don’t think that was a smart move. But I just don’t like how fans get furious about this stuff… the heavier songs most of us fans like will come. Note: I like these softer songs too but I get not everyone does.
I know y’all want heavy and I get it, I love their heavy stuff too, but honestly, this is a song you can play to anyone who loves that slower, easier, and yet appealing flow. This song feels like a heavier love song but it still keeps it Wage War feel, and honestly I’m in love with this song. I still bop my head at work to this song. It’s definitely on repeat for me😂❤️
I believe it's Popular Monster. Also this is definitely a sweet vibe I enjoy the melodies & chorus. I do always hate when they end the breakdown to early or just go back to the chorus without something different. Still a great song I'll be hitting repeat for sure! Been a min since i played WW, I love a lot of their work as well tho. P.S. bro I know you love Bleghs, I do TOO! However I don't think is a "blegh" song.. Butt.. maybe it should have something else to it especially since it's so short 🤔. Also 😂 I litterally thought you were leaning in for a fake roast moment because it's "Octane core" and no bleghs 😂. That roast looks fantastic 👌 gotta get some!
I agree that breakdown could have hit harder... I'm hoping there will be some heavier stuff on the album. I'm starting to wonder if they have a contract that they need to fill in order to be signed? Also... new guitars? I've seen Cody use a Gibson Explorer on stage before on the last tour and the one they are on now... and then Seth with the Jackson Rhoads style V... they seem to be branching out in more ways than just music, the gear too. Although Chris still has his Ernieball/Musicman Stingray bass😍
If anybody is itching for the Wage War heaviness, we just released a new track called “Kill The Flame (feat. NVRLESS)” that’ll satisfy your need for a BANGER! 🔥🤘
I loved it. It's a cool mix of all of their styles so far and I don't understand the salt i've been seeing. This song isn't all that different from Circle the Drain or Gravity.
Everyone in here complaining about this not having a heavier sound for a metal group but obviously they won't or don't want to realize that metal is not only the sound but the LYRICS as well
I wish they would go more “Death Roll” with their overall music but this is definitely a song that incorporates their style when it comes to their stripped album.
It's not a song I'd wear my play button out on like Stitch but I was pleasantly surprised by this song. I've already have several use cases to "break people into metal" with this short and palatable breakdown for normies. They make incredible music, genre be damned.
Its good for fans to voice their opinions like adults, theres nothing wrong with variety and experimenting but if a label pushes a band to a more mainstream sound or thinks thats the better direction to go then the people will listen elsewhere to a band that fits what they want.
Wage war and I prevail really slipped away from what made fans fall in love with them in the beginning. I also think Fearless has a role to play in bands slipping away from heavy roots. It’s happened a lot in the past.
Really dawg? I Prevail?? Naw I Prevail is at the best they've ever been, Lifeline is fantastic don't get me wrong. But their two newest albums are great when it comes to song writing and progression, I get it's your opinion and I respect that.
It's an impactful song that strikes with a particular group of people, they've been like this for years now, the majority just want them to make banger after banger of straight heavy songs but they like to be flexible, and that flexibility is what the band is probably passionate about
I don't like that alot of fans forget the band members are also human beings with their own whims and passions, this band enjoys being flexible and people would rather point the finger at the label manipulating them rather than mention about what the band members themselves enjoy to create, if they are passionate about being flexible then I'm with them all the way, I personally like this song
Yall are so damn critical of the first song they put out in years when this is most likely the beginning to a whole album, they have ALWAYS been like this since the beginning lmao yall need to just be patient and not whine so much. i get it your voicing your opinions as fans but some of this is just degrading
Manic was their best album. And their two lead up songs were manic and high horse both with great reviews causing everyone to rush to the album when it released
@@NicholasMaziar yea true, sorry shoulda put more context what I mean is they've always had a mix up between harder and softer songs on nearly every album, and when the harder songs drop on this upcoming album I have no doubt people will go ballistic, plus magnetic is currently the top listened song for wage war on Spotify so it made a decent comeback! :)
Unlike most fans, i didn't mind Pressures. I like some cleans and some less aggressive tracks here and there. But this just doesn't hit for me. Like...at all. Still love the band but im hoping for someone more from the next album.
Just seen these guys in Melbourne, they played Magnetic…. Mmmm was ok, but didn’t fit into their set. Was a bit misplaced to be honest. Still great live.
Honestly I understand why they put out Stripped Sessions because they were leading us into a softer single, I'm sure that they are going to give us the riffs and breakdowns in the next couple singles, but it will still be a softer album, with a few more bangers.

God forbid a band try new melodies and experimentation. Song absolutely slaps.
People ain't used to bands being flexible and experimental sadly, I love this song not just the tunes but it's meaning is POWERFUL to me
Because that's all Pressure was. It was mediocre radio tracks. This sounds just like that whole album.

Reminds me of the less heavy songs from Pressure, and since Pressure is still my all time favorite Wage War album, I love it.
These guys literally can't make a bad song. Hard or melodic, it's fucking awesome.

demon hunter + nickel back

Not my favorite song of theirs. But I'm excited for some new music by them! Maybe not country but kind of reminds me of Nickelback
For anyone saying "its just one song"...cool, but to release this song as a first single is weeeeak.
