What about all the floor setters you miss? Honestly, you probably don't need too many, but ball handling and Ariel Wizard hardly ever increase, so you can't tell me having all the floor setters won't help. This is why I say let's skip 2K25, play 2K24 until the server closes, and then hop on 2K26. If 2K loses money year after year, they will be forced to make the game changes people are requesting. I know I'm speaking to deaf ears because 98% of the community is going to buy it just as fast as a Republican will vote for Trump. Some things people do just defy all logic.

Until someone on your team hits an 86% contested shot and you start wondering what they're doing that no one else is, ghost contests aside, there’s lag and plenty of other factors. But when you know your jumpshot, you shouldn’t be complaining about getting contested. I feel like these folks only know their jumpshot on the edge of the green window, which is why they miss... but I agree, there's a ton of room for improvement.
@@fearlessknine3510I regularly get high contests on my jumpers by guys just running straight at me with hands down. I hit close to 62% from 3 so I know my shot. I have HOF challenger and cant get half the contests I see others getting

This 2k is good. My complaints are dunk meter is too OP, Right stick steals are a myth, the delayed dribbling has always been awful to me, off ball catch animations are too OP (dex), and they made it too easy for zen users
I live by Right Stick Ripper. It definitely isn't a myth. As for the dunk meter, yeah, you're at the mercy of the game there lol.

I feel like they went in a better direction than 23, like In 23 you could easily dunk on anybody from anywhere but at least in 24 there’s a little more nuance to it, no more running straight at people and dunking on them, now angles exist and if someone is trying to dunk on you to defend you have to cut them off the angle fast cause if your too slow you are gonna get dunked on, which I think is fair the problem stems from animations and slithery, those super quick dunks paired with slithery make defending a dunk feel impossible.
@@TazZ243 I went off what I heard with the right stick ripper. I got a small 6'3" SG with only 72 steals so I don't actually use the right stick myself. Thats on me. I do get like 5 steals a game without it though, I wish they made you need to use the right stick

Break this down to me brother I just don’t understand. 24 is still an actual combination of all of these. The only new thing is controllable scoop lays and the side you can take them on. Being able to fade was a skill or archetype locked, now it’s water for anyone. All of this on top of the fact of the meta still being 6’6 and above. Jamal Murray behind the back is the new left right, especially around screens. The gameplay is just a shit ball combination of everything we’ve tried from 21-24. The only thing I can understand, would be fluidity. Things are wayyyy smoother, but that doesn’t cover 2ks ass. Still horrible loose, off ball, and pass animations. The core/base game needs improvement period but that’s never gonna happen because of annual releases. We are getting fleeced in real time. Sorry for the rant yall

I’ve been using the Layup meter for a few years, even when everyone turned it off i still had mine on and they’d laugh. Now it’s so easy to green a layup. Shame I still see some folks turn layup timing off. Should be a severe penalty for not timing layups. Need to get rid of it and force times layups by everyone
My only problem with 2k rn are the micro transactions it’s getting very ridiculous

I agree with the tweets that talked about 24 gameplay being the best Next Gen experience we’ve had with the game thus far.
The only problem I have is speed with ball not making sense and contest system other than that solid game. Oh and boost on defense out of no where, if you get beat it should stay that way.

every season the interior d gets worse, why cant I go off on defense like I do on offense is where the skill gap needs to be. If I have 60 perimeter and my opponent has 90 ball handle and 85 speed with ball he should get blow bys but if I have 94 interior and 96 perimeter and 95 strength how are people literally walking past me and I cant move or put my fucking hands up sometimes my player wont even jump for a contest.
I stopped playing 2k 8 years ago . Not once I regretted that decision
Ppl still abuse the bots but now it’s only people that know how too same w dribbling it’s not abused as past 2ks but it’s bc only the few people that know how to abuse it. Same w steals but the community like to call that the “skill gap” when it’s just abusing exploits not explained by the game, that’s the main thing bringing this 2k down. Back in 2k22 when anybody could do anything and everyone even casuals were able to abuse certain things like the fades that year, that’s when it was most balanced n we were all on the same playing field and there were still levels to the shiz too

My biggest hope is that Take Two have been using 2k to build up a war chest in preparation for GTA 6, and that when GTA drops, they’l back off of milking 2k for money. Highly doubtful though.
The game is OK at this point only two issues. One anticheat if not pls go back to the old shooting system why do the honest players pay for the cheaters and the cheaters still win! Rec rep system need a revamp ASAP do it based on your position gameplay. A pg shoot 3 for 13 and have 2 assist and give up 30 points grade him out
2K24 not really that bad. And that’s coming from somebody who got a terrible losing record and just started playing 2 weeks ago 😂. My rebirth build is tuff. A lot of the stuff ppl complain about are complaints nobody should really be saying after playing for a while
3:54 I got a lot of builds as of yesterday I think I like my 6’9 2way diming 3 level threat. Contact dunks, 90 mid 80 3ball, 90 pass accuracy, 91 perimeter 72 steal just for that right stick and glove combo plus a 75 defensive rebound
As somebody who is fairly new to NBA 2k(started with 2k23) my biggest issues is VC pricing and I hope 2k gets sued one day. The fact that I have to grind so much to get VC or spend $100 is criminal.
The other issue is dunking.. As a lay up build I feel like you have to hit it perfect and usually not be contested but dunk build can dunk on 3 6’9’s while not even hitting the green and still make it. To me it’s broken but idk again not enough experience with the games.
Offensively it was great frfr but it’s the defense that has to adjust so it can be more balanced

Because of NCAA 25 coming back, its letting me get my sports fix on something else and i can honestly say I'll be skipping out on 2k this year. I really do hope its a good one this year for the ppl who'll be playing though
2k hasn’t felt new in years, I remember being hype cuz the gameplay was different. All they do is fix something and break something else and fix it next year. Gameplay hasn’t felt new yes they made play styles balance but that’s it.

Dunk meter should be based on your interior defense, if you standing under the rim with no interior the bar should not be small
24 was great but sometime in January it went downhill and every update seems to be worse.

2K is not a bad game. The issue 2K has is the community. They also need to start suspending players for language abuse. And they need to fixed the grade out system
2k should just make it an expansion and just update the animations and accessories.
The part that I agree with, I feel that if your rim running and yes, when you get the first step over your defender, you’re able to like really get it nice big window, but I feel like those who have like wrying and all that stuff on like Hall of Fame you should really get a big window it doesn’t matter if he staying there or not because if he doesn’t have good interior and blocking you banging on him and I’m not saying I’m a rim Runner cause I’m not I like to rim too, but I know I do agree that this is one of the bestgameplay it’s just the overall thing that they do with being able to guard on the pick and roll. They need to get rid of that slide a little bit more as a defender when you’re defending that and get rid of scripts and shout out to the real ones that not pay.
I agree with choc, best gameplay in a long time. Only thing that is ruining the game is micro transactions. Getting real tired of paying for a roster update every year and having to start again with myplayers with nothing to show from the 2k prior AT ALL.
Edit: in saying that about it being best gameplay in long time I haven’t played 2k24 in over a month and a half now and it’s been bliss 🙌🏽

You are right, your experience will vary based on who you can play with, but that because the community don’t know how to play together as a team and this is something I highlighted on previous videos.

24 is a solid 5 maybe 6 if I'm being nice. Builder has zero logic, contest system is inconsistent, the shooting is also inconsistent, micro transaction heavy, terrible quest rewards, too many recycled season awards, and flat out a stale game. The only time you can have fun playing this game remotely is when you play 5s with your friends and THAT'S IT. 22 Next CLEARS this game, 24 is still a better game than 23 next though. In 25 shooting needs to be easier and consistent, Casuals shouldn't be struggling to shoot the basketball in no 2K.

No they didn't they made certain attributes weigh more for certain heights than other heights. Hence why a 6'7/6'8 lock can do more than a 6'9 lock and a 6'6 guard is head and shoulders over a 6'4 and under guard. Splash said it best you can make any build in the game besides a traditional guard and a Traditional Big. Which in my opinion is not good for the game because in real life a Jalen Brunson, Steph Curry, or a Kyrie Irving is dominant in real life but in the game I gotta make a hybrid version of them because I can't put 99 in Ball handle, 3ball, and speed anymore which in my opinion is crazy considering the fact that at 6'6 I can have 90 3ball 90 dunk 90 ball handle and a 85 steal I/e JOE KNOWS

We wanted more liberty so they got rid of pie charts…then we didn’t like that everyone had the same Demi god builds so we asked for limitations…now that there are limitations it makes zero sense. This is not an attack on you as I understand the frustration, but at the same time I honestly realize that what the 2k community really wants is the ability to do everything, but not have their opponent share that same luxury and that’s what’s not realistic.

I’ve been saying for years that it comes to gameplay. The biggest problem is not 2K itself, but the way that we play the game each year certain things were overpowered because the days were working on a certain mechanic, but I’m pretty sure they also expected us to play the game the way that it was intended every year. We keep trying to take it back to 2K 16 blow them up about things that need to be changed falsify the evidence that we have why things need to be changed and then complain, they change the game away doesn’t benefit us every year. I say I want them to release the game and not make any changes to any gameplay aspect for two months. Let us get used to what it is and if they’re issues after two months when people have badges, they’ve had a wreck they’ve adjusted to the way the shooting is so on and so forth, if there’s a change that needs to be made at that point it will have been worked out I just want the game that the devs intended and the community to actually play the game right only one of those things is going to happen and when it happens, it’s only going to be for most a month which is sad

Nobody mentions this ever but why is there DEFENSIVE ASSISTANCE in a human vs human game. Ppl say all the time DEFENSIVE ASSISTANCE don't do anything BULLSHT. Think about this if the cpu plays excellent perimeter defense mirror every move you make, wtf you think DEFENSIVE Assistance is doing. These players out here putting nothing in defense and putting DEFENSIVE ASSISTANCE on 100 and now all they do is let DEFENSIVE ASSISTANCE guard you and they just spam steal. DEFENSIVE ASSISTANCE works just like a cpu. If you ever being playing and wondering why the hell you can't getaway from the defender, he mirroring your every move THAT'S DEFENSIVE ASSISTANCE. Could you imagine playing mortal kombat and the person your playing is using DEFENSIVE ASSISTANCE that automically makes him blk every time you punch or kick without that person even TOUCHING A BUTTON.
Thats cause theres NO DEFENSE AT ALL IN 2K if theres a zen involved

I never had an issue with 2K24’s gameplay. I enjoy playing the game - it’s all of this stupid stuff, 2K as a company that has pissed me off. Insane VC prices, stupid rewards, how expensive virtual clothing is, etc. They need to get their act right, but we know they won’t 😅
Makes me no difference what someone else spends their money on. If you're constantly complaining about the prices of video games and pay to win mechanics guess what? You might be an addict because none of us are required to buy video games. Very non essential purchase so if you can't afford it just don't buy it. Can't blame the dealer when the addict goes out of their way to find the dealer.
Gameplay wise, I enjoyed 2k this year, but the community sucks, randoms have been worse then they’ve ever been this year, also vc prices and trash season rewards are the only thing I didn’t like about the game
Gameplay wise a great game. But unenjoyable things season rewards,rep system, micro transactions, and zen users popping up in more game modes than stage my g.
They only care about what makes them money, Brute. If they didn't tie League Pass in, I'd boycott every year. But I'm an out-of-market Suns fan, so I have to buy LP. Which usually means it's worth it to buy 2K...until this year. This year it was the same as buying both separately. If they raise the price again I'll boycott 2K. I can always buy LP separately.

This is the most balanced and logical 2k we've had gameplay-wise. Most of the complaints this yeat have been around microtransactions, patch changes and servers. I'm fine with the dunkmeter how it is. It's almost never easy to dunk directly on someone in real life, no matter the height. You might catch someone at the right angle a few times, but it's usually hard to do.
On ball defense should be a better option than off ball defense. It takes minimal skill to let the cpu play defense

That dude is not wrong about the gameplay it’s July 8. I’m still playing. This is the deepest into a cyclic I’ve ever played and arguably the worst cycle ever something keeps bringing me back although it is very frustrating.
2k has underperformed for so many years that y’all are now celebrating mediocrity
3:05 Break this down to me brother I just don’t understand. 24 is still an actual combination of all of these. The only new thing is controllable scoop lays and the side you can take them on. Being able to fade was a skill or archetype locked, now it’s water for anyone. All of this on top of the fact of the meta still being 6’6 and above. Jamal Murray behind the back is the new left right, especially around screens. The gameplay is just a shit ball combination of everything we’ve tried from 21-24. The only thing I can understand, would be fluidity. Things are wayyyy smoother, but that doesn’t cover 2ks ass. Still horrible loose, off ball, and pass animations. The core/base game needs improvement period but that’s never gonna happen because of annual releases. We are getting fleeced in real time.
All we can do is hope 2k still on the 2 year gameplay cycle and we get some kind of actual game play change this year.

The only 2k that you can get bump out of mid-air dunk with no foul call , get a shot block out-of-bounds and the other teams ball also get the ball slapped out-of-bounds and it's the other teams ball 😂 crazy how can you have a player with all the contacts dunk packages and not-even get any contact dunks wow so much to be fixed and improved, where's the fun for everyone with out money 💵 being first the priority 💬
I agree with most of this video besides the bots, the bots need to be dumbed down, people shouldnt be rewarded for quitting team mates.. ive seen get blown out, then make comebacks with bots this year. Simply because if you have a build with no dribble, your not getting past tht bot no matter what.. that is stupid, they need to dumb the bots down or have a system where if 3 of your team mates quit then the rec game is a auto forfeit
Essentially what im saying is basically people quitting out the match essentially takes the user that was defending them out the match also..So say someone quits and its a 4v5.. its really a 4v4 cause of how powerful that bot is, and that does not sit well with me and a lot of others

Does the best 2k gameplay on next gen make it good gameplay? No.
Peep this. 2k should just keep the same game all year and so forth like the COD layout or fortnite. update cosmetics,clothes hairstyles and courts stuff like that. But as for the legend grind it should be set to each player instead of all of em hooping towards one rep. So say for instance you have a 2 way slashing playmaker but his legend grind diff than your center. Say your center is a super star 3. That will make the longevity make sense and it will put some thrill and fear in the game. I walk up and see a 99 legend ball hawk I know he official. Or this veteran 1 play shot hop on court. You know he put in work?. Keep the seasons. And make it free. Boom new game. And find a way to patch zen and lag.
Edit: and you they let you keep all the shi you pay for . VC stack and all🤷🏾♂️💯 and of course gameplay updates overtime, new dunk packages and etc📉

They need to nerf the build system tired of playing 90 plus strength , block , 3ball , steals and dunk builds and they play like they not lacking attributes in key areas nerf interceptor ninjas reach all day don't loose stamina , jump from the paint and contest 3s 😂 the ball physics are terrible especially on rebounds they jus need a dev team that play basketball and not worried about microtransactions

Cheating on is and will always be part of gaming, they could try to get them outa here which they are all trying but there will always be a way around it.
Gameplay is better but defense is not really as strong as it needs to be. We still have characters dribbling through body parts and too many missed steals that you should get because you timed the bounce and went for the strip but don’t get it because the game or people get steals by running into you. If a defender locks on let them lock up if they have the attributes at least for the first two seconds and take out the freeze on defense. Now for My Career please up the pay so it makes it more worth while for everyone to play. Give us more control over the coaching for both sides of the floor and less automated gameplay. Stop trying to cheat the players and just help us help you so you can get yo money and I can have my entertainment.
The dude Chuck ain’t lying but it’s more than gameplay that makes the game. Plus the controls are hella unresponsive and getting a build to 99 costs over $100. So out the gate you’re spending at least $170 and WHO TF only makes 1 build. We got GTA6 coming, Undisputed boxing, Black Ops 6, College Football….Im boycotting 2k this yr bro. For the 1st time in almost 12 yrs

You have to try the game mode yourself, I don’t spend money on it and remain decent. I win almost half my games. And people will let you score online if you’re just doing objectives for free cards. It’s definitely a lot better towards the end when they have all those corny ass GOAT players they give a lot of free players that aren’t as good but serviceable.
People cry about the price of Iracing...... yet it doesnt reset yearly.
