Always remember that movies with good quality that are age appropriate can actually ADD to their childhood. Winnie the Pooh was my favorite growing up, now I get to show my daughter one of my most comforting movies and watch her fall in love with it. You’re an amazing mom, it’s one thing to throw a tablet in front of your kid with no supervision- completely different to share a special core memory with them. Disney movies were a huge part of my childhood and I’m so thankful I got to grow up loving them 🤍

Yes!!! My mother and I have those special shows. Same with books!! It's a wonderful thing to share with your babies.

To add to the conversation around "doing it all"...one of the biggest things that has helped me is minimalism. We live in a 450sq ft tiny house, I have less material things which means less time managing those things. It takes me 20 min to clean my whole house from disaster zone to back again. And the big thing here is that it's reduced our living expenses which reduced the amount of hours I need to work. (I have a toddler and my husband works full time and I stay home with my kid and work a few hours a week outside the home). I know this is definitely not possible for everyone but I just want to add that it is possible for some if you get creative and also let go of needing a lot of things. We drive old cars with no car payments etc. I have never been happier and more calm. Madisun Grey's channel on TH-cam helped me a lot.

One of the good things about having autism, I don’t feel the guilt for prioritizing work or chores over being fully present with my kids. I feel like most of it comes from societal pressure and I don’t give a **** about that. I spend every minute with my kids that I can and that’s when I give them my all. They will be just fine with a little bit of tv so you can do what you need meg❤

I’m learning that we can never achieve perfect balance in life because seasons change and our priorities differ depending on that. I’m a type A perfectionist so I fully feel what you’re saying about trying to do it all, and I catch myself so many times doing that. But I find that it helps to just put things into perspective when we recognize which season in life we are at and which things take more precedence over others right now. We’re all just trying to do the best we can with what we have❤

Omg...Junipers speaking is just come along so well lately! So many words!💜
Love your DIY crafty stuff, I do alot of the same, saves so much and being quick its nice and rewarding.
I totally get what u mean about motherhood, my kids are older and I still feel the same. I feel judged for staying home more still and then I feel guilty to saying no to extra work shifts, then I get overwhelmed when I cant catch up on my home duties. I think its a general mum feeling now we are more of a 2 parent working society. My mum stayed home and that was her role and no one questioned it.

I loved this! It feels so nice to have someone talk about motherhood honestly. Have you listened to the Very Good Enough podcast? I joined their community Very Good Mothers Club and it’s such a wonderful place to feel all things challenging about motherhood and you feel so validated after every call. It’s been life changing for me.

I struggle with that complex every day! Hubby and I both work from home and can’t afford childcare for two kids. Our oldest does half days at a preschool during the actual school year but trying to balance an 8-5 and two kids at home has been…. Challenging. I often feel guilty for having to resort to tv to keep them entertained, but we’re doing what we have to do. Thanks for sharing because it’s a constant battle for any mom no matter what you do for a living and it helps to have other people affirm that.

I so needed this video today. It’s the first day I’ll be working from home without assistance and I spent the entire weekend stressed about how it was going to go. Crossing my fingers nap time goes according to plan and I can get a little work done while my guy is napping.
Ps we were snuggling and watching your vlog so I get those occasional screen time days.

I love when they have all of quiet time to nap and then say they are tired… happens quite a bit here! Also, thanks for the chat at the end. Constant struggle here… the number 1 time I lose my patience with my kids is when my to do list is my focus. But I also have no idea how to get everything done if I’m always focused and present with them.

Always wondering how do you make them stay them inside to sleep ? Mine just keeps playing and runs off and come out and doesn’t sleep until I stay in side and force it through the process. Share your kind experience or trick that worked

Does Rowan wake up before 3 but stay in his room. Is that a rule you have set. My son is 2 and ½ and still in a crib so looking for advice for when he goes to a big boy bed
