this is so insightful and i’m so excited! sjsu is literally perfect for me. every video i’ve watched is saying that the social life is kinda dead but i’m a major introvert so it’s perfect 😆 i love the big school feel but i don’t need a whole lot of friends. so even that “con” is a pro to me!!
If you’re going to live on campus at SJSU, I highly recommend living in Washburn. It’s the cheapest dorm, and you can tell, but you’re most likely to meet new people in that dorm out of all of them. Don’t be afraid to knock on your neighbors’ doors! A lot of people also live their doors open during the first few weeks to welcome people in anyway
this was really good advice on what you’ve been talking about in your video because i just recently got admitted to sjsu as an incoming transfer student :)
Katherine, I found your video very interesting. I attended SJSU from 1977-1981. I was comparing how you describe the experience to mine. So much has changed, but some things never change. Good luck through the rest of your studies and experiences. You’ll do very well in life. Go Spartans!
V helpful!!! Not from the area so ive been def curious how sjsu is as ill be there in the fall. Kinda wanted a college experience w a lively campus, but thats alright haha. Ty again for your insight(((:
I'm deciding between sjsu and calstatela since they offer aviation, so far I've heard good things about sjsu😊!! I've applied to both and another 2 CSUs so we'll see by then.
hey hii , I am planning to Apply for sjsu in fall 25 to mscs or se programs , the only doubt is how will the banks give educational loans before getting admitt or how can we show proof of funds for educational loan ,urgently neeed help
Hi I’m a first year! Would you recommend dorming or getting off campus housing with a friend? On one hand I would like to meet new people through dorming but also I could probably find cheaper options off campus and I wouldnt have to pay for meal plan (I would be able to make my own food).
hi! would you reccomend working at the bookstore and if so what was your experience like? im most likely attending in the fall and im super interested in an on campus job! :))
hey!! yes I would totally recommend :) my old coworkers are still some of my close friends and it is super convenient having an on-campus job! the only reason I don't work there anymore is because I got a great internship in my field! hope this helps
living on campus is pretty affordable compared to the prices of rent in the area! and yes you can definitely get a job off-campus while living on-campus!
hi! honestly I doubt my stats are the reason I got into SJSU my SAT score was below an 1100 I believe and my gpa was probably between a 3.0-3.5...my academics are actually reached an all time high once I started at SJSU!
Just for reference, the school has an impaction criteria. Check their website. They calculate it based on your Uc/csu gpa, with a few increases based on being in the local area (ignore that for int’l.) and you can find what the selection index was for your major last year on their website. Note that engineering classes (not cs though) use a different impaction criteria which adds points based on math classes, so they’ll seem to be harder to get into compared to something like cs but are often easier.
awesome!! I just knew comm wasn't for me and I was way more interested in the advertising classes. having a meeting with the advisor helped me see that so many of my interests aligned with advertising...so that is what it came down to in the end!
hey! i'm also starting this fall in sjsu in pre-nursing. just a quick question about the dorms, do you have to apply for the dorms before the semester starts or can you apply anytime? thanks!
@@lindsaydelgado240 fs! 3.3 gpa and no sat score. Okayish grades throughout hs. And I know someone who had a 2.9 gpa and no sat score and she got in. Good luck!!

Can do do job outside the campus while living on campus??

Thank you So So much!!
hi, im thinkong of applying to SJSU as well from India!! would you be able to or have already done a video about your STATS that got you into SJSU??

Would you say it is hard for someone who is transferring from community college as a junior to make friends and to find roommates?
are all the amenities like pools and gyms open to all SJSU students without being enrolled in PE classes like swimming and gym classes?
yes they are open to all students to use!!
Thanks this was very insightful!
i’m transferring to sjsu in the fall as a comm major! what inspired you to switch to advertising?
awesome!! I just knew comm wasn't for me and I was way more interested in the advertising classes. having a meeting with the advisor helped me see that so many of my interests aligned with advertising...so that is what it came down to in the end!
Also a comm major as a transfer student!
Question- Is the computer science program at SJSU competitive in terms of acceptance? Applying with a 3.97 w is that pretty solid?
Where did you end up going?
watching this knowing that i won't be able to study at sjsu
I'm going to SJSU this fall!! :3
are there any options for out of state internships related to advertising? if so, where do they go?
how do you join the college team? do they have trials?
Hey! How can I find an opening in bookstore?
Do they have those emergency button things around campus?
yes! and there is always police cars protecting the campus
thanks for this! I'm starting in the fall
do you mind me asking your stats? i applied and i really hope to get in!

I'm pretty sure it's only before the semester starts but I'm not positive...I know applications are open now for the fall!
You can join the dorms whenever but it’s just obviously better to apply before your semester starts.

Is parking a problem? Thanks in advance.
I don’t have issues with it, my tip is to go all the way to the top of the parking garage
I hear it is for people who commute but I live on campus and the garage for me is really great!
