Having an idea on where the ships are on the map is not only for DDs, for cvs it’s also pretty important since a lot of tier 7 DD love to do a giant circle around the map and snipe my Carrier, that happened already 5 times
I'm one of such dd, it's frustrating when you circle half the map avoiding detection by planes and ships only for cv to send all it's planes in your general direction thus trapping me
@@Titan-fk2fi I know that felling being spotted and then bombed to death by planes and cruisers... it’s frustrating especially in tier 8 with Shokaku as an enemy carrier. As I was a DD main ( now I play pretty much every class regularly ) I used to go away from the flight path of planes as quickly as possible at the start of the game,this not only provided my much needed stealth but helped also my teammates. However I didn’t go for the cv I stayed in range of my teammates to support them or get a cap, I only went for the cv when the game is really under control other wise it’s just useless ( you maybe get the cv but then ? What are going to do ? )
@@FunandGameswithTerry i stealth torped a Seattle earlier in a Z46 and wiped him off the map. This may be for newer players but apparently even veterans need to be re-educated
Hey Terry, do you know whether the predictive aiming guide factors in the speed of each ship’s torpedoes? I almost always have to lead the guide with Monaghan’s super slow torps
The aiming cone should take all factors into consideration, the only thing it seems to sometimes struggle with is if the target has an engine boost active
Whatcha suggest Terry? Should I restart WOWSB or not? Cos I am till Iowa right now. With no other side ships etc. And very low win rate etc etc...suggest
In terms of torping, only German n Brits BB is bit tricky do do. 1 got sonar, 1 can smack u with HE in 1 salvo. So u need to plan bit more to score some good hit
When stealth torping, I find the most important factor is to observe the target. What are they shooting at? Where are they heading? Once the torps are spotted, is there something that can hunt you? Radars nearby? Lots of factors.

Oh hell yeah. Scouting DDs should be a primary task for a CV, just out of self-preservation. Unless you're in a German CV, then DDs are just food.

Cruiser players should also pay attention to guides like this. It gives them a good sense of situational awareness and how to dodge torps as well
There are some cruisers that can actually stealth torp, like some IJN ones. Situational awareness in general is a hugely important skill.

doesnt the white aiming cone take all factors like torp speed into account?

Your torps are so slow that by the time they get there, a slight course change from the target can make them all miss.
