    If we have sat-b, sat-c, fleet 77, etc on our ship then how will be our mmsi number

    Hello sir can you please explain me DSC in simple language.

      So, in layman terms DSC means digital selective calling... that is when we use hand held VHF that you see on ship you can't control who will receive the message right...
      So, for this purpose first they created differences or variations frequencies that we call them as channel number so and so....
      But when you consider a power VHF station the range for transmission is very huge so in order to avoid confusion they gave every such station an MMSI number and later we could contact that particular ship using their MMSI using the method called DSC.
