    Hi. I loved your video. I think it is more helpful watching people have mistakes because people who are learning make a lot of them and need to know what to do when they happen.
    I don’t want to use steric acid because of palm allergy. Do you know if I can substitute soy wax? I found other recipes using soy wax - but I like how yours has glycerin added. Or, can I add glycerin to another recipe? Thank you for your help.

      I've tried this cold process, but because of the stearic acid which needs a very high melting point, it all curdles on me and I had to transition into a hot process. If you could find a recipe without stearic acid, you could definitely do it cold process though.

    • @PPMOCRG
      @PPMOCRG 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Ph is not something that you need to worry about. Soap is going to be on the higher end and that is normal. As long as it is safety tested for zap, and properly cured it will be fine.

      @@brookehodge135 I know, that isn’t what I meant. I stated it poorly. Ph testing of soap is not easily done and will not be accurate unless done in a very specific way with very specific measurements. Doing so for the average soap maker is unnecessary because it’s not accurate anyway. Use a lye calculator, weigh carefully, cure , and safety test. If it is at 13 then something isn’t right.
