As many times as I’ve been at the Skokomish with the kids exploring we’ve found some agates but we never looked for jasper. Next time we’ll be looking. Now I have grandkids. I’ll show them what to look for and let them loose. They’ll collect buckets full in no time. Kids have so much energy. Might as well harness it.
I bribe them by saying I’ll cut up what they bring back. I get half to either slab up and\or cut up, or for the rock garden as a memory. The kids know who they belong to, where they came from, what they are.
I just love the places you go to rockhound. And all those gravel bars! The little frogs were fun to see too. Thank you for cutting what you found so we could see the inside right away. Beautiful rocks!
Jasper is one of my favorite stones, I just love the colors, maybe this winter I will do up a bunch of cabbing. I will put out a video on it then. Thanks for watching
Thanks for showing us the hidden treasures of the Wet Coast!
They are treasure when they are dry, when the rains come it is a soggy mess. Thanks for watching
That big red jasper you found near the beginning sure is nice. That river has so many banks to search.
There is some beautiful jasper on that river, but you have to get away from the camping areas. Its a very popular area to camp.
@@OldGuyAdventures Ill keep that in mind.
It's soooooo beautiful up there.
When the sun shines its beautiful

Yes they do, they wear me out just watching them. Kids love rockhounding, the only problem is they want you to haul their rocks.

Thats a bit much, don't think I would be doing much of anything in that heat
We’ll watch your videos before we go. They’ll be all psyched up and eager to go.
The Skokomish is a great place to explore
