    The fact that the old Ford Escape/Mazda Tribute Hybrid was so reliable is the very reason why they stopped making them. They couldn't make more money from parts and servicing the car!

    A friend had an Escape hybird. He finally traded it in at a bit over 200K miles. He kept waiting for something to break on it. It never did - just routine maintenance.

    Stopped counting the number of times people asked you about all the TP :) Great review. Cheers from Canada.

    I think Nissan stops selling Rogue Hybrid. I can't find anything about it on the website.

    “Punch things up a bit”? What were they using to punch, pillows or marshmallows? I’m no auto engineer but I can think of things that give more heft to that line.

      I like the cloudy weather, makes it MUCH easier to shoot cars, especially the interiors.

    yeah I'm surprised there aren't many hybrid SUVs especially since they have more space for electric engines

    Hi Tom. I've watched every single one of your car reviews. Can you please review the Acura TLX? I am considering buying one fairly soon but don't want to jump on it without your input. Thanks!

      Not sure, I just shoot there a couple times a year. It's in a suburb of Seattle in the Renton area.

    Tom, in case you want to see Ford adding a hybrid to their two turbocharged inline-4 powertrains, I suggest you talk to Mark Fields, the CEO. And I'm with you, if the hybrid is successful with the Fusion, why not the Escape. I'll sign up for your petition.

    I know Ford makes the C-Max as a Hybrid and Plug-in Hybrid instead of the Escape. However, it is soon to be no longer available in the US. Maybe the Escape Hybrid is making a comeback.

    Having driven the standard gas Rogue with the cvt, I can't imagine why anyone would want it. Even as a rental car, the drone of that engine when you put your foot in it is possibly the most annoying thing I've ever heard. The second most annoying thing is how little the engine responds when you put your foot down. But I notice you seem to like every vehicle you drive.

      First, that wouldn't be cheap, close to $400 with tax. Second, storing and lugging up and down my stairs would be difficult. Third, the plastic wrapping isn't what I'd call robust. Fourth, I like the $1.50 polish (with soda!).

    I don't like the cargo space arrangement. Toyota's RAV 4 hybrid did much better, it's flat, larger, and even comes with a spare tire, impressive.

    • @jaykae3952
      @jaykae3952 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      This comes with a spare tire also, at least the one in Alex on Autos' review did.

    • @DrivenCarReviews
      @DrivenCarReviews  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Correct. I forgot to shoot it.

    • @py1211
      @py1211 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for telling. Yet the cargo space is not comparable to RAV4. Exterior design is better though.

      Faraz Khod it does improve fuel consumption tho, so because this is a hybrid they focused in that, its supossably even more efficient.

    "It is hard for crossovers to stand from each other since they all start from a two-box design" - an absolutely pointless remark which I did not expect from you. So, a sedan starts from three boxes. A locomotive is one box. What about, I don't know, rockets. They all start with a cylindrical fuel tank and a rocket engine at the tail. If you simply shoot from angles you think are interesting, intelligent viewers will appreciate your efforts. Image is worth a thousand words. P.S. I see how those "boxes" loaded in the beginning played out later in your review, still, not impressed with the opener.
