For weeks now I’ve been thinking of Stevie’s favorite game...... “where’s Miranda?” My fear has been crippling me. You helped pull me through my postpartum. I had discovered you while pregnant with my second child. On call the midwife and you instantly became my favorite person. Then found out you had a sitcom (i am american so I was out of the loop) After I had my son I fell into a deep depression/anxiety and even paranoia. I wanted to die but I didn’t know why. I would sit at the end of my bed and just cry. My husband would ask me what’s wrong and all I could say was “I don’t know” Then I started watching your sitcom. I would lay there at night, when things always seem worse, and would laugh to the point I would cry! Because you had me laughing so hard and I literally felt myself getting happier. I am forever grateful to you. I could never repay you for what you have given me. I have your books and my favorite thing you have ever said and I hold it in my head like a post it note, “the world needs a YOU in it” When I read that I cried, I needed it more than I could ever articulate. After watching Ramble # 1, I took it to hart, and asked my husband of 37 years “what would you really love to do?” I actually don’t know if I have ever asked him that before. He said immediately that he would love for us to sail our boat around Lake Superior (resting place of the Edmund Fitzgerald and thousands of other sunken vessels). I said OK, let’s, and what tiny thing might you do tomorrow to get closer to achieving this dream? He had a very good concrete step planned and in motion! I was impressed with him, chagrined at my selfish little self, and grateful for you, Miranda, for setting up this beautiful moment in our quarantined little lives. When we sail around Lake Superior, I will try to discover and name an island after you! Thank you, and keep on chambling!

I suffer from chronic mental illness and people just tell me to pull myself together because I don't look ill and I can look happy on the outside! I can also be very capable in a situation and then have panic attack at home afterwards! p.s I would like to see more of your dog please!🐕🙏 Also please write more comedy! I love the sitcom Miranda. It has helped me through some dark times. I watched it so many times though it would be great with something new!

Dear Miranda, Not to worry. You weren't rambling at all. We who bravely live with some chronic illness have had to learn how to celebrate all accomplishments no matter how large or small. Or how far reaching or understandable. It all counts for our good. And truly, we who have been the recipients of such an unusual life are always learning how to appreciate who we are and appreciate our lives. I was born with Primary Immuno Deficiency Disorders the year before it was discovered and named. Like you and most chronic condition pts. no one believed that I could become as ill as I did in just a couple of hours
