Ooh!! I have that same masking one! It works just as awesome with watercolors too. I luv it because you can get super accurate because it’s so fine. 🤗 I’m so glad to be able to see this part. Thank you. 😀😁🙏🏻
Thanks. It's fun to play with and also to remove. Giggle. Be careful. It doesn't like to be stored for awhile. Found one of mine all solid. Have received them solid before too, from being stored too long at the distribution center. It might be heat. Have fun playing.
Yay! I’m the hundredth liker of this video 😆 how fun! Thank you so much for the tutorial. I’m always so appreciative of artists sharing their secrets and spreading the joy of creativity. Y’all make this world an even more beautiful place ❤️
This is awesome and inspiring Clara!! I'm already have items in my Jerry's cart! lols I have to try this!! :D Plus I wanted to get the archival spray, they got that too, and instead of blending solution, they have the Jacquard Extender..same thing in a bigger bottle. I also have a credit on my Jerry's account, so I may as well use that toward my $50 order. lols
How long did it take for ur lines to dry completely since ur lines were thicker? Sooo beautiful! My fav is when you remove the masking to revel the clean lines. I get the same excitement when I peel the brown packing off the clear acrylic rounds from ATD. Lol 😁 Ahhh, bummer, I wanted to see what it looked like with it all removed. Lol
Probably about 5-10 for the thin ones and 10-20 for the thicker ones. I hit it with the heat gun gently to help it along, but was very careful around the thicker area because I didn't want it to spray. Then I just let it dry the rest of the way, while I worked on another project. You know how that goes. It is fun with the reveals, isn't it.
I have applied it on top of alcohol ink before, but I think I sealed the board first. (it was awhile ago and I only did it the one time) it will pick up color if there is a lot of color in that area. So, if you are going to do double layers that's what I would recommend. Sealing in between.
Very cool process, I am definitely going to try this technique out. Thx for sharing 😊💟 I always learn from your videos
Awe thanks. Please share if you do. Wanna see.

Thank You for such detailed information 😊
I am going to be starting Alcohol Inks... Just need some quiet time to experiment 👍
Thank you. I understand completely. Have fun
What a fantastic idea. Clever lady.
Thanks. Did something similar with fabric painting, so this seemed natural to me.

Clara Lawrence yes! That’s the best part! This is so beautiful 😍
What did you pour all over the piece at about 8:42 minutes in?
Never mind...I saw a comment like mine earlier that asked if it was rubbing alcohol, you responded that it worked beautifully 😉
8:30 Is that alcohol? Will it affect the masking fluid?
Nope. It works beautifully.
Beautiful love ❤️
Thanks, I appreciate that.
Would you be able to paint the board first, then add the masking fluid to add color where the white is?
I have applied it on top of alcohol ink before, but I think I sealed the board first. (it was awhile ago and I only did it the one time) it will pick up color if there is a lot of color in that area. So, if you are going to do double layers that's what I would recommend. Sealing in between.
Ok, that makes sense. I think I’ll try it this weekend. Beautiful work by the way.
@@azretrodreamer Thanks, I appreciate that.
