He isn't my favorite musician of all time without a reason. He just finds the right words for every situation in life and I always find a song of his that just fits perfectly. I relate to this song so much precisely because of that. I fell in love with this girl. Unfortunately she had already been so broken and damaged before me… so she was scared to love again so she pushed me away even though I know she felt something for me too. I tried so hard to use that as an excuse to move on I kept telling myself “she’s too damaged anyways”. But after a year I realized that trying to use that as a motivator to move on was useless to me because I loved her regardless of how broken she was. I guess i really do love all of her and her broken “pieces”. The song lyrics not only describe my exact situation but the also the sudden and intense beat drops resinates with my sudden and intense feelings I have for her despite of her broken pieces being what is hurting me…
