I was in Vietnam three times, exposed to Agent Orange multiple times and exposed to tropical sun. I now have the fourth squamous skin cancer on my face and two on my arms. Does this warrant a claim?
Is there any news about the VA taking responsibility for psoriasis induced by anti-malarial drugs? Dermatologist have known about the connection for years but I haven't seen any claims being approved due to it, including mine. Now I'm facing psoriatic arthritis and the VA refuses to see a connection. Thank you.
I have dishydratic eczema of the hands, diagnosed by a VA dermatologist the year after I left the service. I served in Aviation and had a lot of hand exposure to aircraft fluids, JP-8 jet fuel, oils and hydraulic fluids, plus the stress of service. I have been seeing civilian care for it for years after leaving the service. If I want to submit a new disability claim, will I still need to receive a nexus proving service connection, even though it’s apparent this would have been caused by military service?
how would they determine your percentage if I have chronic hives but it doesn't breakout during the exam. It does shows on the medical record and proof by the photo. thanks
I have two 7" scars on both inner arms from a decompression of my ulnar nerves related to carpal tunnel back from 2010 or so, should those scars have been measured and rated in regards to my surgery? I did have my CT rating upgraded during that increase in claim back then. Those scars have become painful amongst other things and I have started a claim to increase, thanks!
Why does malignant melanoma not have a code, but rather the scars related to the melanoma. How does the PACT act cover melanoma if VA only writes it up as scars?
I was put on acutane in 1987 and from that moment on I’ve been another person zero energy prior to that high school athlete at a high level and I swam 50 laps a day. Is there anything in the VA disability world that would help me.
I was on that deadly medication in the early 80's,first from a civilian doctor in Chicago, then the military, and 1985 the military removed me because it was causing more harm than good.
In the first Gulf War, we would get circular lesions all over and the hair would appear wet and limp/curled. Still comes and goes. Also, tinea cruris was off the charts for many in my unit, can’t ever get it to go away. C&P exams are scheduled…..
Does "establish service-connected" include if you actually were diagnosed and had a shaving waver for psueodfolici barbae so you have medical records from time in service? I got awarded for it but for 0%. What would have them award it but give 0% for it?
I’m trying to find out the same. I got awarded PFB at 0%, it causes me pain and discomfort (depressed cause of it) to this day. Wonder if we can get an increase and get a secondary.
@@GeekyGizmo007 0% is nothing to cry about. When your condition meets the criteria for a higher percentage in the future it will be easy to increase it.
Try to ask the VA to consider how the shaving has caused scars (DC 7800) . PFB seems to be rated extremely low just going off of DC 7806. Most of us have never used the “systemic methods” the VA requires and they know that.
Thanks for watching with us today. We hope this information helps your VA claim. Check the description for additional resources!
If I have dissecting cellulitis of the scalp and have a rating for it. But, the disease also causes scars and hair loss, is that pyramiding?
HIDRADENITIS SUPPRATIVA IS FINALLY DIAGNOSED FOR ME AFTER YEARS OF FIGHTING WITH THE V.A. THE SKIN LESIONS ARE REAL AND EMOTIONALLY DEBILITATING.
Congrats! I’m happy you won the long battle!
@@G43X thank you
What did they give you for it?? I have it too!
@@noahescamilla6675 I take HUMIRA SHOT every Tuesday, and Acitretin, two tablets a day, and still no relief.
I just got denied because i never reported it in service
Is eczema secondary to Rhinitis and Sinusitis?? Heard it was from the burn pits...
Be nice to see some interactions with people who have posted, CC&K.
Hmmmm... had back injury in service that resulted in having back surgery 30 yrs later. Would my 6" scar qualify for compensation?

Did you ever get an answer?

Does Tinea Pedis have a bilateral factor when It's on both feet?

I'd like to know that also Im dealing with MM and scars
Is it written up for residual of cancer and scars from surgery? Or do they pick the higher percentage of the two???
How could I contact someone like Ms. Cooke as an accredited claims agent to talk to? Thank you.

Why is H.S. not Mentioned?
