That Biscayne is probably one of the top 5 cleanest cars I have ever seen. I bet the videos doesn’t do it justice. Thanks for another amazing video Bill. I watch everyone of your videos from start to finish and I have to say. You do some great voice overs. Good luck and hope you all have fun in Florida.
Heavy yes. It would fit me very good though. My first car was a 68 GTO that a friend gave me when he went to Florida for a job. It didn't run and I was 18. What a fun car it was
Thank you Mr Hoskinson. Your videos do more than you know. I have a father that is in the process of losing his battle with cancer. It makes me scared and mad most days. It's a struggle to try and stay positive. But your videos distract me for a spell and honestly I'm a happier person after I watch it. It's so helpful to have something that just makes a person feel better
Bill I’m 69 and you are dead on about how cars were a source of freedom for us back in the day. The biggest day of our young lives was the day we got our drivers license. To be able to get away from our parents house (and siblings) and go out on our own was something special. And cars were another thing for us. They were how we connected with our friends. We didn’t have the internet or social media. There were only two ways to connect with peers (outside of at school) back then. The telephone or in person. I get that cars are just not very important to young people today. They have so many new ways to connect. Thanks for the trip down memory lane today.
Im 54 and couldnt wait to get my license it was a right of passage first our yard, then the sidewalk to the end of the block either north of east of our house, then bicycle and north end of town, then whole town, moped = greater range, and finally a car greater range and freedom for the tyranny of my dad. Kids today dont seem to really give a crap about that freedom no drive or thirst for it just happy to sit in the parents basement and text their friends. Sad world.
I'm 78 and everything you say was how it was for us in small town Oregon the early 1960's. The movie American Graffiti was how it was for us too. Friday and Saturday nights spent 'Drag'n tha Gut' up and down the main streets looking to see who was parked at closed for the day gas stations and grocery stores (even though gas was $.20 a gallon we didn't have a lot to spare), pulling in to shoot tha sh*t with whomever was there and watch to see who else was doing the same.
I’m only 38 and same. I grew up in a rural area and 5 miles from town. No internet. Had a phone but my parents didn’t let us use it very much. The day we could drive was a huge deal we looked forward to for years. I’ve often felt bothered that younger people don’t have the car bug but never really thought of it this way. They’re able to connect anyone, anytime, anywhere with an internet connection so cars are just a thing to them. Huh
I LOVE ❣️ THE OLD MAN'S COOL FRIENDS! Mark from A-1 Auto, that's supported by Napa, is the coolest one of the bunch, in my opinion. He's always there to help out the Old Man with whatever he needs, especially with that warm smile 😁 to brighten the day. Always positive and upbeat that others can appreciate. He's also a very good Boss that supports his crew. He's an amazing person. Thanks for having him in your episodes! Keep up the good work 👍. Great video 📸. Have a good day today 😎🌞. Thanks.
Bill, I am 70 years old and owned a 1968 Biscayne. It was an original 427/425HP, 4 speed, 4.56 posi with a police suspension under it. It had no options when it was ordered. When I got it had a 283, three speed and 3.73. It was the best tow vehicle I ever owned. It ran 15s. That trunk was so huge, you could sleep in it or take whatever tools you needed. Also plenty of room inside also. I agree with you that it would be a great starter drag and drive car. I loved the sleeper look it had. I put Chevy stock rallye wheels on it. I am so glad you have found the love of Drag and Drive. I remember seeing Tony and Tess at Rocky Mountain Race Week in 2023 and told Tess if you can just get Bill to a Drag and Drive he will love it and find a way to do one. I was so glad to get to talk with you at Drag Week this year at National Trails and at the Christmas Tree Race, I am the YooHoo guy. Continue doing what you are doing and for the reasons that you do it because God will continue to bless you. I will be at Sick Week this year and hope to be able to talk with you again.
I give a personal vote yes on the Biscayne! That old girl is clean! Like wow! Either way I love the content Bill from you and your kids! I'm subscribed to all of them! Stay warm and stay blessed!
Bill, that smirk looks like you already pulled the trigger! Hell ya, That car is the reason most guys tinker at night so that their car some day will look that good. I would leave the wheels, sleeper outside, business under the hood! Just my.02. Reliable is the name of the game, bling does not win the race. Fabulous video!
Completely agree, do not even think about changing wheels!!!! The old steels is where it’s at for sure! I grew up in a ‘68 Biscayne and a 68 Bel Air. I have always wanted to find a decent ‘68 2 door but the prices for a good one have just gone crazy. My buddy found one a few years ago with the original big block and it’s actually the same color as this and I’ve been drooling over it for a few years now so this would be a real treat and I’ll probably bankrupt myself trying to win but at least I’ll have a lifetime supply of hoodies when I lose, lol 😂, but seriously tho, that is one gorgeous car!
My first “hotrod” was a 1968 Caprice, 396/th400/12 bolt, black on black. Bought in 1991 from the 2nd owner. I owned it 17 years and spent its life as a driver/drag race car. Owned it 17 years and a friend has owned it since. This Biscayne is perfect! Do it!
Terry from Jegs gets a gold star ⭐ for outstanding customer service! He cares about the customers and tries his best to help with whatever you need for your classic car or racer. He's the reason why I would choose to buy from this company. Great work Terry on outstanding professionalism and for the work that you do. Keep up the good work 👍. Great video 📸. Thanks for having Terry in this episode, it's appreciated. Have a good day today 😎🌞. Thanks.
You’re absolutely about hot rodding in general, and your feeling on drag n’ drive excitement is widely shared. Sick week has personally reinvigorated my interest in drag racing as well as my dad’s. We’re working hard trying to get our cars (64 Chevelle and 72 Monte Carlo) ready to do a drag n’ drive event together someday after many years of disinterest in the drag racing scene. I think a lot of families have the desire to participate and would get really excited about a drag n’ drive focused giveaway no matter what car it is!
It’s about the price you can get it for and what you can make in sales for the giveaway. I think you will do just fine. Your content is amazing and your knowledge is second to none
Hello Bill,I’m 67 this month and totally relate to what you are saying about the freedom of an automobile. I’m in for the ‘68,love the butternut yellow. Uncle Terry is another one of the dying breed of parts professional’s. Keep the awesome videos coming.
Bill thanks for another great video. Wyatt had a ball riding in the tractor with you. I see him being with you all the was he gets older. Going to Florida for some sun warmth and racing therapy is the best medicine for us northern guys. The Biscayne is sweet and you can tell how straight it is by the door closing. Thanks again for sharing your experience and adventure in life with us
That biscayne is a once in a life time opportunity, don't hesitate to long. Keep the awesome content coming, hope to see that 68 in the stable real soon.
Bill, you know racing, you know how to race and how to promote a race and do a good job. I hope you dont get burned out on it and continue to make it all possible for the normal guys to continue watching and even participating. Thank you sir.
Pull the trigger Bill cars like that don't come around very often Definitely a unicorn Would be an awesome ride with a few of your touches I think that you might regret it if you don't
Bill I'm glad you & Billy got into the drag / drive stuff. Not trying to start a war or offend anyone here whatsoever. The drag is drive is by far my favorite stuff hands down. I know the 1/8 mile stuff, no prep stuff has really been in spot light but me personally my heart has always been in 1/4 mile drag racing and when " Drag week " started I been hooked on drag & drive ever since. Now more people are promoting drag & drives which only bring positive experiences for both the car enthusiasts plus the businesses they stop by👍😉
Back many moons ago we used to enjoy “show & go” events. It’s kinda morphed into drag and drive so this scene has been around for decades. I’m glad you finally found it and all the fun. I know many that are burned out from it and fascinated with no prep so that is new to them, Vice versa from you.
Beautiful car Bill. I say leave it the color it is now. That paint job is so nice I would leave it alone. If it needed a paint job I would do it the blue on Billy's drag and drive car. If it's not broken don't fix it, as the old saying goes. You found a true GEM!!! Anyone would/should be beyond proud to own such a nice car.
As a fella that's run his '68 Biscayne in two Drag Weeks (2016, 2019) - also with a stout SBC/200-4R combo, I can tell you the trunk holds a full set of Pro Stars, a full size floor jack, all the tools, and some spare parts perfectly. Luggage goes in the back seat. Plenty of room for a navigator up front.
I'm 55 and just went 2 months without a vehicle due to it being totaled while parked on Main Street. Thankfully, I wasn't in it. I realized that that was the longest I've gone without a vehicle since I was 14. We take a lot for granted these days. I had a 79 Monte Carlo back in 87 (Senior Year) and I can't wait to see more of your Monte. If you come out with some Monte merch, I'll be waiting. Keep the videos coming, they help me deal with the New England winters.
My wife and daughter and I will be there for sickward we all can’t wait it’s a bucket list for US long drive for US Canadians but will be there.. Cheers
Buy that car Bill! Thats right up your alley. Have some fun and make some content with it, then sell it or waffle it off for a different version of the same thing.
I am so glad you found Drag n Drive, I love how the whole family is so into it already!! Thanks for all you do for the community my friend! See you in Florida!
New cars got efficiency, but to me at almost 70yo they lack.......soul😢 That Biscayne is a sweet ride. If i were in the USA 🇺🇸 i would definately take a run at it. Me thinks its an awsome starter kit........and a keeper. You dont see the older cars in that condition too often..... I think the people would support you on that decision Only if its YES though......
Yes, get that 68 or you will probably regret not getting it for a long time. Just the feeling of owning and driving a clean classic car like that can change lives. Fathers, sons, daughters & grandchildren can be affected. Memories that last forever. You know those feelings and you could give that to someone with this car.
After watching a Reaper rant .....this is refreshing for a old guy who likes whiskey doing wood carving and raising my mutts...oh.....and toping off my day with a Colorado cig.....this comment passes I hope😅
Super nice car for sure. I like that it isn't black blue or some shade of grey. Would make one hell of a nice ride after it gets the Bill treatment. Get it, I'll try n win it!
To find an unmolested 1968 Chevy is rare. Although somewhat massaged, love the color. If you're going to flip a car, that's the one. Then build another Malibu like a matching wagon. Anyway your going to step up to own it, but your grandson will love going for ice cream with his pop pop. Peace
Pull The Trigger Bill love your slight mod ideas too and love your description of why cars meant more back then. LOL, I thought for sure when Mark got in your truck he was gonna break your glove box handle
Oh my. When you opened that door and I saw the "Body by Fisher" emblem I instantly went back to the early 70s. Mom's cars all had that and in my mind it signified attention to detail and quality. That Biscayne is the perfect drag and drive. Pull the trigger, but please don't paint it. I for one would love to have it. Slap an old Grumps Garage plate on the front of it and start filling the calendar w drag and drive events.
Nice looking "68" ........BUT as far as wheels either stay with the steel or cragers. But I'd go with a 8" on the back. And the fact that I'm gonna be 70 in June so I gotta go old school on the wheels.
Love the Biscayne. I always liked the bigger cars better than the pony cars. Keep doing what your are doing Bill. Love all the content from all the channels. 👍
I told you Old Man. That Baby was gonna change everything. My 4 are the Light of my life. Especially little Gracelynn. We Are Blessed Beyond Measure Bill. 😎🤙🇺🇲
I think you need a giveaway Malibu just like your car. Nothing about that biscain says drag and drive. It says Sunday dinner with the grandkids. And that’s your mind set right now.
Bill, I'm in on the Biscayne for sure. I have a sentimental soft spot for those cars and I'dlove to have this one. My only suggestion would be to let the winner make the choice on changes like wheels, intake, etc. I don't mind the mechanical changes so much as I know it's performance related, but I would personally prefer the paint matched steel wheels on the car. Yes, I realize I'm probably the minority vote there lol. The only thing that could make it better is if it was a 66!
I think that car is just too nice to alter. I would like to see you do up an 80s Cutlas or something along that line where you can get a little crazy with it. But it is your money and time after all and support will always be there. Stay safe.
Love my gbody cars eventually I'll have me another one but maybe not a 80's Oldsmobile cutlass that stung a bit trying to hold onto that car for so long only for it to get totalled
Get it. Reminds me of Nick Scavos black 66 impala back in the fastest street car shootouts in the 90s. Was just a kid then but man did it make an impression. Running 8.50s in 1994 with a full steel street legal Impala was a big deal. Hell, 8.50s is still moving by todays standards
Absolutely beautiful car. I love the fact that you are looking into buying a car and working on it to give somebody the experience of a drag and drive event or something similar to it who would never have the means to do it otherwise. You and your family are great people with huge hearts and a ton of love for other people. I wish there were more people like you out there..
Yeah Buy it for the therapy and joy of the project and the spread of joy I'm 50yeaarsold and have the same passion I got from my Grandparents Both of my Granddad's were mechanics.I have been building 4x4 trucks and Hot rods for over 28years I have a Chevrolet 56 truck going to resto-mod it with LSX 427CI PROCHARGED engine 1,800+ HORSEPOWER WITH 4l80 transmission with Transbrake.
I came home from Vietnam and didn't want to drive my 69 SS Camaro in the Michigan winter. So I found a 68 4 door Biscayne and installed a 427 and turbo 400. We street raced it all winter and made enough money to buy a new 75 Camaro. Pull the trigger on the car and I'll participate in your giveaway. Good luck.
That Biscayne is CLEAN!! We did a 65k mile, 65 BelAir 2dr post, as the Biscayne. It was medium blue met., and flawless! Out of S.D, 2nd owner car, put a crate 502 in it, went high 11's and easily could've held some boost! 4130lbs, with a 6pt and all parts! Awesome car, do not pass it up!
You’re right Bill. Cars were a big deal back in the “day”. I’m almost 74 and graduated from high school in ‘69. We had some awesome cars back then. Used to go cruising in our Novas, Camaros and Cuda every weekend. Did some street racing. It was a blast. And you’re right about the freedom thing for sure. Man those were good days. And I’m still a car head playing with my 70 Nova I’ve had since ‘72.
The Biscaynes were the ultimate sleeper. Back when I was a kid running my '69 Nova , my friend picked up a beautiful ''68 Biscayne with a factory 427 and 4 speed, black on black. What an awesome car that was. If the price is right, pull that trigger young fella.
Bill, I love watching on the yellow channels. You look like you are having a blast up in that cab.Letting him think he was running that Tratner. You are grinning from ear to ear bud
BYE TOMMY HOPE YOU FIND YOUR DAD .. bruhh
Someone just recently watched the movie Elf lol
Tommy is going on the MAURY SHOW 😮
Lmao
LMAO 🤣😂
Tomcat Gunner get it boy get it
People like Mark will never get the credit they deserve not just for being so good at what they do but the jobs they create with all the corporate part stores that can't give you a quart of oil without the year make model. Thank you Mark from all of us that don't have parts men anymore.
Well said. I like how he has been getting out a little bit more, well deserved. Can't wait to see him ripping around in his 55 when it is ready.
He’s gotten PLENTY of “credit/money” for what he does. He didn’t start that business yesterday🥴
Absolutely 100% yes on the biscayne. No question about it, that thing is mint and gorgeous.
It’s wild how just seeing a new video come up from old man’s garage makes me smile immediately

I feel ya ol' bud, I'm doing almost the same thing right now.. enjoying my fresh Colorado cigar myself..
Is a "Colorado cigar" one of those that smoke from the "left-handed" variety?
@mattthemorningafter nawwww it's the shit we have in KY that makes us talk slow lol
@@kipmyers5897LOL... that's right eastern ky here
True that! Just watched James myself, lol.
Super nice car for sure. I like that it isn't black blue or some shade of grey. Would make one hell of a nice ride after it gets the Bill treatment. Get it, I'll try n win it!
Its always a good night when Bill puts out a video! Cheers
Yes! Count me in! I’ve had 3 ‘68s over the years & would love to have another
Another week, another set of videos from the family, can’t wait till sick week!
To find an unmolested 1968 Chevy is rare. Although somewhat massaged, love the color. If you're going to flip a car, that's the one. Then build another Malibu like a matching wagon. Anyway your going to step up to own it, but your grandson will love going for ice cream with his pop pop. Peace
Yes,buy that bad ass Chevrolet Mr.Bill 👍you will be upset if you don't.
NOOO !!! Changing those orange valve covers and intake would be a sin and those wheels look absolutely incredible. Yess vintage air
MY FAVORITE GARAGE CHANNEL !!!
👍🏼😁👍🏼
Pull The Trigger Bill love your slight mod ideas too and love your description of why cars meant more back then. LOL, I thought for sure when Mark got in your truck he was gonna break your glove box handle
Shhhhhh 🤫 Bill Don't tell NAPA Mark is playing Hookie 😂! He's too close to retirement to lose his job 😂😂👍🏼
If mark sold out he’s closer than we all know Cotton!
Bill- one last test session and we are Sick Week ready buddy!
30:34 Sir, if you think it’s a solid car mechanically, I’d be all over it. It’s absolutely gorgeous!
Do the Biscayne will be a great Project.
Nice looking "68" ........BUT as far as wheels either stay with the steel or cragers. But I'd go with a 8" on the back. And the fact that I'm gonna be 70 in June so I gotta go old school on the wheels.
That Biscayne is stupid clean. I'm not an Impala guy but that car is sweet. That car is a perfect car for drag and drives.
Biscayne would be a great cruiser.
That is a nice car. Im sure its top dollar. Might require a Cleetus style giveaway to come out on top.
❤Wyatt is so cute and such happy boy❤
This video is so awesome! I laughed so hard, my phone almost cried!
Get lost
Please, for all of us car enthusiasts, describe what part of content you most appreciated.
Love the Biscayne. I always liked the bigger cars better than the pony cars. Keep doing what your are doing Bill. Love all the content from all the channels. 👍
Dude missed big time on the color... It's in such great condition, going back original would have been the move. In my opinion...
That's a huge yes on the ole Chevy, my dad had back in the day with a 396 and I loved that car.
I told you Old Man. That Baby was gonna change everything. My 4 are the Light of my life. Especially little Gracelynn. We Are Blessed Beyond Measure Bill. 😎🤙🇺🇲
Awesome Biscayne! That is a sweet Hot Rod.
Absolutely pull the trigger, what a beautiful car. Love the channel more and more with each video you produce Bill.
Good luck.
Motor looks good, I’d leave it alone. You may want the dual plane on such a big car for that low end torque. Torque moves mass ole son
I'd definitely be in on the Biscayne. That thing is slick.
BUY THAT SUMMBITCH!!! That's a beautiful unit! That'd be a tough car to give away though! Wow!
HELL YEAH! That Biscayne is GORGEOUS!
The factory appearance under the hood is great dont change a thing. Not all cars are suppose to look like race cars
ABSOLUTELY no way I would ever be able to beat on that BISCUIT.. Drive the wheels off, but never abuse it.. 😁👍🏻🇺🇸
Beautiful old Biscayne!! Love to have that
The Biscaynes were the ultimate sleeper. Back when I was a kid running my '69 Nova , my friend picked up a beautiful ''68 Biscayne with a factory 427 and 4 speed, black on black. What an awesome car that was. If the price is right, pull that trigger young fella.
Can’t wait to see the Mark and Bucko race!!That Impala is sick, so I’d say great idea.
I didn't expect a Biscayne. Beautiful cars
I think it's a good idea, Bill. I would be interested in it.
Bill, I love watching on the yellow channels. You look like you are having a blast up in that cab.Letting him think he was running that Tratner. You are grinning from ear to ear bud
Buy it Bill, that thing is cherry. Love the color too! She's a real head turner, to the car guys that know about cars, for sure! Awesome find!!
