I was used to the GameBoy Color when I was a kid. The "Hello there!" at the beginning surprised me because I wasn't used to voices in portable games like this (this was the first GBA game I had).
For some reason, this level always made me feel pure inside. The nice seaside that just speaks a peaceful sunny day with a cool breeze, and none of the enemies don't want to harm you unless you harm them, considering they seemed so happy and small. The music just takes the icing on the cake by just pairing the course with a peaceful, happy, but sorta saddening tune.
I love how even the gameplay is weird in this game, you go from exploring the level at your own pace, with enemies that hardly do anything to you (unless you're in super hard mode), to RUN YOU IDIOT, YOU'RE GONNA DIE!!!

It's funny to me how much that first "Hello There" feels completely different from the rest of the vocals... almost like it came out of a completely different mouth to me. I don't think I ever noticed it until I heard the voice sample in the old version of "It's PIzza Time!" but now I can't un-hear it. What's even stranger is how it feels like the song still works.

Wario Land 4 was a challenging game, but it wasn't the hardest thing in the world. It was forgiving. While some like to speedrun platformers, I often enjoyed lingering around the levels, enjoying the beautiful music. Each song provided the perfect atmosphere for each unique theme, so this felt like a vacation away to a tropical paradise.
I love the weird tradition in Nintendo games of making the first level a gentle grassland or forest type level. This level being super normal and a contrast to the other levels is such a fun little quirk of Wario Land 4.
This is peaceful. The only Wario Land i've played is Master of Disguise, and Shake it too, but i don't count that one because i didn't play it for too long. Seeing how this title influenced Wario Ware's personality and how is said to be the best Wario title makes me want to play it. I also have been playing Pizza Tower recently, and if this game plays like that one, i have to give it a try

This game was very much a technical show case for the gba, it still impresses me with its visual effects, also the bosses gave me nightmares. Lol
