Really enjoyed this episode, it was a fun time. And I liked that the conflict and resolution between Barry and Iris was very on brand and season one-esque to their personalities and approach to dealing with life since powers and time travel invaded it. Iris is very much a free-will prioritizer and doesn’t like when people or “future knowledge” take her choices away, while Barry gets tunnel vision when he gets future information and gets so stuck on the end result and fear of losing it, forgetting the “why” behind decisions to get there is just as important. And in the end they compliment each other with Barry helping her embrace change and the future on her terms and Iris helps ground Barry to living in the present and enjoying life without a script. The red death and it’s lightning symbol also looked really good, looking forward to more of that.
It should be said that this' really the first time we get to hear what Red Death sounds like, with this being the first ever adaptation from the comics, and I gotta say, I like it. Also I love that scene where Barry dodges the boomerangs. It's like they were aiming for a comic page aesthetic and absolutely nailed it. And y'know Barry phasing a nuclear explosion is pretty damn awesome, physics be damned. But I can honestly get where Barry is coming from. This episode takes place literally a week after the season 8 finale and Barry going from thinking Iris is lost in time to having her die in his arms because he couldn't predict the Negative Forces' plan. I can understand why he'd start becoming way overprotective of Iris and their future together.
I enjoyed this. It's not like the best thing ever but damn, it felt like comfort TV to me being back with Team Flash, especially after losing Stargirl and others. Also nice to see the return of the UNPROBLEMATIC Flash after all the Ezra stuffs in the past year. :P
It took me a couple of days to work up the nerve to watch the episode. In the last half a year I've had most of the shows I watch taken away. I honestly think I'm not going to have any shows to look forward to before long.

This is the second time loop episode I’ve seen recently. Quantum Leap had one last week and Fantasy Island is having one next week. I enjoyed how the Flash did theirs. I’m glad to see a new episode, but sad at the same time. I’ll be looking forward to your reactions and I’ll enjoy the ride with you!

Since the moment they mentioned in the Flash museum that he fought Red Death, it became the sole reason I was watching the show. I just wanted Red Death. And its...it's happening. Its actually happening I am so happy
I get after all these years and his experience, Barry may be set on needing to know what the future holds and trying to keep to that as best he can and not screw up the timeline any more. He wanted it too much though and that's what's blinding him to how Iris felt about it.
Anybody notice how they don't care about masks on other characters anymore? Why did they have Iris hugging the Flash in broad daylight at the scene of a major incident?
Was it just me who didn't know Red Death was gonna be in this show? I've been avoiding trailers and articles so I guess. Is this gonna be an actual Bruce Wayne? Or is it Batwoman? I dunno. But I'm keen to find out. From the show itself. Not spoilers. :P
Gotta admit I wasn't expecting to see Red Death already, that was a nice surprise. The rest of the episode was fun. Also we get another excuse to bring up the old quote "The you I know from the future, he's not this stupid." I love Barry but sometimes he's just so dense

I find it really interesting that they're going with the more cinematic wider looking cinematography this season. It looks really good and more in line with Superman & Lois and Stargirl. The establishing shots seemed to be coming in from farther away and the entire pool sequence is way more cinematic than anything the show has done before. I noticed right away the different look, because in the previously on it seems like the clips were stretched in order to fit the new look Which just makes it more disappointing there's no more future multi-show Arrowverse crossovers. I remember when S&L was first premiering, I had thought about the potential of future crossovers with if it would be jarring going from The Flash to the cinematic look, but with this look it wouldn't be...
@Omn1Media,how is it sometime/somehow when Barry runs in civilian clothes& does not catch on fire along with the booklet he held?. Are the showrunner trying to make Cecile ,DC' s version of Jean Grey with practicing telekinesis along with being a telepath?.What are you guess of the not Kaitlinn/Frost,can she be the daughter of Chillblaine& Kaitlin?. And who might behind the mask of new baddie who hired the new Captain Boomerang that has a certain Breaking Bad look to him?.
I heard that Red Death is a combination of Batwoman and Barry Allen from a dark future timeline which is as comic book accurate as you can get on the show but I think it would've been better if he was a combination of evil versions of Oliver and Barry
