ALOOOOOO
What is your favorite faction?
I have an aesthetic tier list that i'll be doing on stream next week... I am ready for the missunderstandings :)
My favourite thing in 40k is Ogryns, but my favourite faction is chaos spacemarines specifically the Iron Warriors.
In Warhammer fantasy my favourite faction is the empire because I'm boring
I started playing Kroot Mercenaries and always have a soft spot for my carnivore birb boys, but these days it's a toss-up between "THE PLANET BROKE BEFORE THE GUARD DID" and "VULKAN LIVES *STOMP STOMP*"
Tau Empire, big guns and space communism
secondary is Grey Knights
You need to watch PancreasnoWork! Bro has some of the best warhammer videos!
I think the name that I use says it all
Best description I’ve heard for the Imperial Guard was by Zanny “being a guardsmen is like being giving an M4 then told to kill Godzilla”
Individual Guardsmen are statistics in battle. Good thing they come in volume. And have artillery. And armored vehicles/tanks. And support from the Imperial Navy in space and the air.
@@matchesburn And obviously, they all have names, but there's just so many of 'em the Comissars just kind of point and say "you!"
Well.
Unless they're Kriegsmen. Then they actually have numbers instead of names.
Now I just wanna see Matara play EDF4 😮
And then the madlads actually do it.
@@isengarde9490If they’re Krieg then it’s the Commissar trying to get them to NOT just charge straight into the most heavily defended enemy strongpoint they see
"They lobotomize babies?!"
'Yes, vat grown babies.'
"Oh, okay that's fine."
fucking DK man xD
Mostly, some servitors are too complicated for the brain dead vat grown variants, but hey there is no shortage of ungrateful criminals for that
Probably wouldn't be an issue if they were allowed AI, along with all that other lost technology.
@@BlackEpyon the problem with AI is it every time they experimented with it it became murderously violent towards humanity in a matter of seconds, there is also the wars against the men of iron that happened around of the dark age of technology, in the modern imperial language AI stands for Abominable Intelligence, there is a good reason for that
@@BlackEpyon
Unfortunately, AI was chaos corrupted and that which was not, would rather not be servants to humans again.
The collab NEEDS to happen at this point! Give the people (me) what they want!
Update: THE BARGAIN HAS BEE FULFILLED.
WE THE PEOPLE (me) DEMAND MORE
SOON

@@MataraKan WHAT
First Bricky must be dragged into the V Forges and turned into a VTuber :v
@@MataraKan Ohmygoshohmygoshohmygoshohmygosh! Also "I'm just a space bug"? So is a Hierophant Bio-Titan!
In one of Bricky’s latest videos in his alt channel, he mentioned that he would be so down to chat and answer questions about 40k… this would be great content to watch😉
I mean, that's more or less what Bricky's podcast is tbf
There is a new collab between Zentreya, Matara, Apricot and Bricky playing Darktide. The VOD is now on Bricky's secondary channel!
Imo, the imperial guard are the most important faction in the setting because theyre the ones the set the scale. You can call a space marine a super soldier, but you don't realize just how powerful they are until you put them next to a normal human. They make every single faction cooler by just existing, not to mention that they're the true defenders of man and take up 90% of the imperiums battles. Also, they're the biggest chads in the universe, cause the average guardsman is more brave and devoted than even the most devout space marine. A space marine has genetic modification, devastating weapons, indestructible power armor, and a whole legion of guys just like him watching his back, while a guardsman will charge daemons with nothing but a weapon that might as well be a flashlight, armor that might as well be paper, a squad that'll die to a stiff breeze, and his devotion to the god emperor...
and a comissar pointing a gun to the back of his head
Standard issue for a Guardsman: A Flashlight, a t-shirt, and a set of massive steel balls.
Matara: Ohh, I recognize Cadia!
[In the distance] Zen: CADIA STANDS!
And Creed stands in Trayzn’s living room lol
"back in the 1900s"
>remembered my birth year and instantly withered into dust like I chose the wrong grail
Ollanius Pius is the embodiment of the what makes the imperial guard so great , Man stood before Horus to defend the emperor even though he knew he had absolutely no chance. They might not be the flashiest (except their flashlights), but are the most respectable faction in 40K
The imperial army during the heresy had much more powerful las weapons called laslocks, they're the same tech as lasguns but fire 1 very powerful shot with a slow reload time, used like ranks of muskets.
But yeah it's pretty bad ass that it was a human who finally convinced the Emperor he had to kill Horus after seeing him kill Ollanius
@@the98themperoroftheholybri33 Laslocks were primitive weapons made by taking the barrel and chamber of a proper lasgun whose firing mechanism had broken down with age (that being the most vulnerable part of the standard lasgun, given that it could only be used for a century or so before needing to be replaced), attaching them to a wooden stock and rigging a basic capacitor to a flintlock style connector that would just dump the entire load of a lasgun battery into the barrel all at once when the trigger was pulled to complete the connection (causing the entire thing to discharge in a single massive blast, but also wearing out the internals of the barrel much, much more quickly).
The Imperial Guard didn't use them much at all anymore at the time of the fight between Horus and Emperor. They did use them extensively early in the Emperor's reconquest of the galaxy when that was basically all they had, but stopped as soon as an STC for a proper lasgun was recovered, because the biggest problem with Laslocks besides their relative inaccuracy and needing to reload after every shot was that they were prone to randomly exploding.
@the98themperoroftheholybri33 you are thinking of the solar auxilia. They were the main army of the crusades. And they didn’t she las locks. They used las fusiliers, which were very powerful select firing las rifles. They could even harm space marines.
I love how she says sorry that she is pausing a lot yet she pauses way less then most other reactions to this video lol.
Id honestly rather she paused whenever she goes on a ramble due to a chat message or what have you ngl
Yeah
Same. It honestly gets kinda annoying imo @@gamerin123d6
She should pause a lot more, even in the video with Zen (which looking back would have been better without Zen anyway), she asked questions that Bricky answered.
I get it, she is a heavy talker, I dont mind at all, but a good reaction is about taking in most of the info and then talking. Not talking most of the time and missing half of it (just an example, she likely takes in more info than that).
eah i wished she would pause way more often. her talking over the other video and having both voice lines in m head drives me insane, do react or do listen, not both at the same time. or bakctrack because you missed important information
Keep in mind that the Factions videos were created prior to his 40K (mostly) podcast, Adeptus Ridiculous. If he gets things wrong (like the Omnissiah and Machine God are one and the same, despite them being very different in actuality...or that the Inquisition being the only ones to order exterminatus), he probably didn't know at the time.
Good point!
he still gets loads of things wrong in the podcast too^^ (not a criticism) but as we all know 40k lore is massive... and messy with 20+ different authors who have different interpretations of people, events and circumstances, one author said the emperor only ever saw the primarchs as disposable tools, the other said he loved them as his sons but he struggled to show it etc
What I honestly love about the adepta sororitas is the fact of the stipulation of the church not being allowed to have a force of "men" at arms. Also, how they have the will to parry large daemons.
It's a loophole that only works in modern English.
@@BlackEpyonWere armed forces not referred to as men historically?
@@smol_hornet613Etymology lesson: "men," in old English, was gender neutral. The prefix "wif" indicated a female person, and the prefix "wer" indicated a male person. "Wifman" eventually morphed into "woman" (no, it's not man+womb), while for males the prefix was dropped entirely, but depending on the context "man" or "men" can still be used as gender neutral today.
The English term "men-at-arms" (referring to a soldier of any type) derives from the French "homme d'armes." "Homme," meaning "man," which is technically gender neutral in French but like in modern English also tends to indicate male more often than to the broader humanity. It derives from the Latin "hominem," which IS gender neutral.
Sometimes context is everything. I highly doubt Games Workshop put this much thought into it. They're making the assumption that "man-at-arms" is implicitly masculine, which only makes sense in modern English and French.
And yes, there are historical examples of women who fought in combat other than Jeanne d'Arc. Not nearly as many examples, but there were some.
@@BlackEpyonAhh, that makes sense. Thanks for the lesson! Didn't know that.
I love the ironic duality of the Adeptus Mechanicus. They don't know WHY their machines work but they know the steps to MAKE it work. They could have an hours long ritual, 50 steps long, to turn something on. Step 36 HAPPENS to be flipping the holy switch on, and maybe that's the only step they really needed, but they don't understand that. This is just how they've been doing it since forever and if it ain't broke, why fix it?
Admec prayers and rites are just turning any machine or appliance's user manual into a ritual book.
And so begins a flesh vs vtube sibling rivalry
"I think i'm very much an orc believer... i love gambling." Ahhh a lady after my own heart! :D
Always up for a good time, you'll never not enjoy a game against an orc player!
Fun fact, in the 40k universe, all of humanity numbers in the quadrillions; that's a 10 with 18 zeros behind it. There are hive worlds and forge worlds that easily hold much more than double what our earth has today. Drowning the enemy in infantry with easily mass-produced gear, weapons, and tanks is how 90% of the battles are handled.
I have absolutely loved seeing vtubers discover Warhammer 40k and even more so through bricky! I would really like to see you and bricky play darktide and talk about 40k 😁

I am actualy falling into the Abyss of VTubing and i never guess i would found a Vtuber Falling into my favorite hobby at the same time. Loving the content and your energy Matara. ❤
Rewatching this to see chat's interaction, I love the instant pause of confusion followed by the "maybe it does whisper that, we don't know it doesn't" comments
"Ooh, I recognize Cadia!" Nobody recognizes Cadia anymore.
Matara Kan in the Warhammer 40K Universe would end up just like that video of a guy blowtorching a cockroach to atoms
While I am a die-hard Salamander boy, I can respect the Guardsmen for how brave and varied they all are. Like, you'd be surprised how many different varieties of "madlads brave enough to shoot Satan in the face" they have.
Cadians are expert shocktroopers against Daemons and the hordes of Chaos. Stupid good fighters with wills stronger than steel. Males sense, since Cadia is so close to The Eye of Terror. From birth to death, they know how evil Chaos is, know what Chaos is, and learn how to kill it. Plus, they get these sweet purple eyes.
Catachan Commandos are tanky guerilla fighters with big muscles, bigger knives and the titanium balls to live on Catachan. Funny story: a bunch of Daemons tried to invade Catachan after their commandos left for a bit. When everyone came back, the only difference they noticed was a huge pile of dessicated Daemon corpses. Plus, Sly Marbo: the Chuck Norris, Sylvester Stallone, and Arnold Schwarzenegger of WH40K.
Indigan Praefects are expert Monster Hunters who tend to enjoy hunting extremely dangerous monsters on their home planet, making them pretty good at hunting Tyranids.
Armageddon gave us the tank-riding Steel Legion and the brutalist Ork Hunters who, you guessed it: are great at hunting Orks and other Xenos.
The Jopal Indentured Regiment, while being super despressing as a group born indebted to their Corporatist hellhole of a home world, are among the best marksmen in the guardsmen regiments. The reason being that each bullet fired comes out of their paycheck, so they got good at being very parsimonious with ammunition.
The Attilan Raiders are Hun-like speared calvary on GIANT FUCKING HORSES! Like good Christ, I thought Clidesdales were big, but they are tiny in comparison.
Also woth raiders are the Tallarn raiders: Arabian-themed horseback warriors that also specialize in ambush attacks, guerilla warfare and being stealthy mofo's.
Sewer Rats are a special regiment from a world that is in constsnt gamg warfare. As a resukt, they got very good at infiltration and fighting in close quarters, like in alleys or sewers. Get these guys where they are best, pass them a flamer, and deal's done.
Tempestus are the Navy SEALS of the group: Best gear, best training, best of the best Guardsmen. When you need some stress taken from the front lines and the Astartes are too far away? Get these guys repelling in. Have an enemy camp that needs taking out? They're on speed dial.
Solar Auxilia are/were basically the Space Marines of the guardsmen, just without crazy augmentations. Specialized training and awesome golden gear devised by the Emperor of Mankind himself that made them the ones to beat. Sadly, they are nearly almost gone.
And for the ones that everyone loves: The Death Korps of Krieg. Ok, so you know how the WW1 German fronts looked, right? Well, imagine a bunch of gas-mask wearing, shovel-wielding, bayonet-charging soldiers gleefully attacking anything that dares to go against the Emperor's will. Now, imagine that every person in those masks is a cloned soldier that just hit their teens, and was taught how to kill and die for the emperor in ways that makes it the enemies' problem; down to where their production numbers are theur names. And have it all be because they seek the forgiveness of the Emperor for Krieg's attempted betrayal centuries ago. They are brutal soldiers of attrition warfare are expert killers and know how to turn their imminent demise into a problem for the enemy. Not gonna lie, these guys are my favorites alongside the Auxilia: it's honestly kind of sweet how they hope the Emperor forgives their home in exchange for their service on the battlefield. But that's, like, the only wholesome thing to them outside of fan comics. And happy gasmask noises.
It's very interesting to see how her friendship with bricky develops!
Loved the video @MataraKan! Can't wait for the next video Girl! Bricky's editing is so good that I'm always going to have a Laugh LMAO! Can't wait to see you react to Part 2!
"When I heard the name Decoy Octopus I searched for him the whole time"
Funnily enough, I totally forgot about him in the story until he was mentioned in that spoilerific line.
Someone needs to really point her to The All Guardsman Party. Love their reasons for the Sisters of Battle hair. Apparently flamer accidents are extremely fucking common, so they go really good at skin grafts and ways to regrow hair.....it just turns the hair pure white.
The "Adeptus Ridiculous" channel is where Bricky teaches a novice DK about Warhammer 40k. It's very, very funny.
30:35 I play deathwatch with my Fallen standing in as proxies for them. They're actually really fun.
The moment you realize the presence of the inquisition your heart drops immediately. Because there is two things you know for sure about them: if they here - something gone really wrong and second - you don't know how many heads will roll when they leave. It's a nightmare lottery
I still think "If Emperor had TTS device" is a series that explains WH40k lore the best.
try this : The Galaxy's BIGGEST Troll? Trazyn EXPLAINED! Warhammer 40K Necrons Lore , Not too long ago they added a race again: the leagues of votann
Lord Inquisitor Fyodor Karamazov, for nearly 200years was the most openly known and notorious of the Ordo Hereticus, this position was aquired through his looser than generally Inquisitorially accepted definitions of Heresy, and acted with no subterfuge or quarter. If he questioned your loyalty in the slightest he would PERSONALLY deal with you head on, like he did when he massacred most of the major imperial prime city of Salem. He is best known for his battling atop his servitor-run Throne of Judgement, being the only living being piloting the chassis of a box-style Space Marine Dreadnaught converted into a throne for himself, and he was known to regularly wade into those he had judged with extreme predjudice swinging his relic power sword from a seated position on this dreadnought. He is also the inquisitor who said what Bricky quoted: "There is no such thing as a plea of innocence in my court, a plea of innocence is guilty of wasting my time. Guilty." He was firm in his belief there were deeper plans unknown to all, even the Inquisition, to deal with the Ruinous Powers of Chaos, and that the Ordo Hereticus' sole purpose should stamp put all sign to buy the Emperor time until he would deal the final blow.
COMMENTS FOR THE COMMENT GOD! ENGAGEMENT FOR THE ENGAGEMENT THRONE!
Fun fact: after losing the majority of its territory to Piedmont-Sardinia. The papal states ordered 1000 some Remington Rolling Block rifles. So yes, the army of god uses Remington
for the lion thing, there is 1 guy called lion - lion el Johnson primach of the first legion the uncrowned princes,
there are a few people who use lion iconography like the custodes usually shield captains and captain generals,
the emperor has used lion iconography as well
Ci Ci Ciaphus Cain HERO OF THE IMPERIUM!
Lots of comments, so, sorry.
Grey Knights were founded by Malcador the Hero at the behest of the Manperor of Mankind right before the end of the Heresy, it was a group of 12 psychers from various chapters who had shown unshakeable devotion and faith in the Emperor as guardians of Mankind.
SoBs are not really Hello Kitty, they use Renaissance era Catholic iconography, so angels, cherubs, hearts (ref. Pierced Heart), fleur de lis and all the other stuff are simply things that evoke the whole fire and brimstone esthetic.
XX chromosomes and the Imperial Military; You will find XX (and realistically there is nothing else as you would have been cleansed for not being perfect if you thought different, Sparta has *nothing* on the Imperium) in Titans, Imperial Knights, Imperial Guard, Inquisition, Sisters of Battle, Sisters of Silence and the Officio Assassinorum. That's it. Full stop, there are ZERO female Space Marines, Custodians or Grey Knights and if anyone says otherwise they are either full on heretics or simply have no idea what they are talking about.
I actually hopped over to Twitch just now to see if you were streaming so I could AMA for ya (i have no life and am an old nerd who likes to talk about the past in gaming), so if you wanna gimmie some questions here, I can probably give you some info on it from the before time, in the long long ago (I still have all of the first edition rule books).

Cadia Stands! Over there over there and up there
CADIA LIVES ON! For The Emperor!
I'm a Sister simp, but there's something badass about someone in effectively a t-shirt and using a pointy stick standing up to an Abrams going "You shall not pass!" or them looking at a bear and going "Ya, Imma shank that.". That's the Guard. People who are still capable of fear, doubt, and not with the greatest of equipment going "Job needs doing, so let's get to work.". Honestly the more I learned about the universe and just how messed up it is, the more I liked the Guard.
As to why the poster boys are blue Space Marines, it's not because blue is a boy color, it's because it's the easiest color to paint, on the easiest army to paint. If it was started now, they'd probably still make the poster children Ultramarines since they're still focused on the minis first. Even with that though, there's a _lot_ of people who fall off of the hobby side.
One thing that Bricky gets wrong is that the Inquisition isn't over the Space Marines. They both have absolute authority on what they do, but the Emperor never clarified who has priority. TBH there's a lot of absolute authority floating around in the Imperium with no clarification as to _who_ has the most absolute authority. Space Marines and the Inquisition can both tell each other to suck an egg technically, but the reality is that the Inquisition is much more compartmentalized as a safety feature in case someone falls so they don't have a lot of centralized power. A lone Inquisitor (which is what is normally happens) trying to tell even a single Space Marine what to do isn't going to end well for the Inquisitor. Good luck on that Inquisitor getting help from another Inquisitor though, because no one is more suspicious of an Inquisitor then another Inquisitor.
Real happy you are posting some vods on youtube too !
Good news, Matara Kan reactions were mentioned in the recent episode of Adeptus Ridiculous.
My favourite faction is the one Bricky doesn't even bring up here since they where not released at the time, Leagues of Votann or as they where known in a past edition the Squats.
I've beaten Martyr twice, and the expansion, Prophecy once. It's so much fun.
Is it weird, that the eating mouth movementsare my favourite part? Too cute :p
Have you ever eaten.... a tangerine?
Would you like to try one?
Wonderful to see Matara's interest and enjoyment of 40k.
Although, when she was talking about 'the nineteen hundreds' I could practically feel my bones turning to dust.
"Are they comming to take over, or are they running away."
Weird Al summed up the answer to that. "Girls just wanna have lunch."
It seems that you prefer the Xenos factions in 40k, which is awesome but when it comes to reading I would recommend you to read the Inquisitor trilogie(s) by Dan Abnett, he did some great work with those!
MataraKan is actually a shapeshifting assassin.
NEW HEADCANON ACCEPTED
"I recognize Cadia" Funny you say that, it looks nothing like I remember it... there was a lot more.... Cadia last time I saw it.
I just finished all of the videos you posted of this so far. I'd love to see more stuff like this, and I want to see you delve more into it. I want to see Matara react to Alfabusa's ttsd series as well.
As a "space bug" she should really love the guardsman. Especially with some pepper and salt, maybe some BBQ sauce.
I am a big Adapta Sororitas fan, Tyrnid fan and Drukhari fan.
Wait a minute, the only space bugs capable of thought are the Tyranids! We haven't met theit true leader yet!
So Mama Roach if you could just go around Mars we'd all appreciate it here at the Adeptus Mechanicus. You don't have to just I just highly recommend it for the sake of both Factions....and the Necrons.
Anyways back to AdMech things.
Don't forget bricky runs adeptus ridiculous and they have amazing posters for 40k and cryptids
You should watch brickys jagadhi khan and white scars video. He’s the white scars primarch and he is extremely likeable. Though amberkings jagadhi khan video is very long it is one of the most emotional videos and overall very cool.
Might as well throw in my 2 credits... definitely read Dead Men Walking by Steve Lyons, it's about the Death Korps of Krieg. Sets the tone for what 40k was all about.
Was not ready to hear “in the 1900’s” lol
The way she pronounced Ciaphas Cain gave me whiplash
You should watch Bricky's review on Boltgun. Well made and he makes it hilarious.
Yeah!
The Ultramarines are blue because it's a pun. Ultramarine is also a term for a blue that tends towards a slightly purpley / royal blue shade.
25:39 theyr the poster boys because that shade of blue is the easiest to paint and easiest to see on the tabletop
During that part about the Custodians, I was screaming. So, for my sanity, that Custodian with the Lion on his paladin is not The Lion. That title goes to Lion El Jonson, because IT’S LITERALLY HIS NAME! JUST BECAUSE SOME HAS A LION ON THEIR CLOTHES OR ARMOR DOESN’T MAKE THEM THE FUCK LION!
the colour of the ultramarines is ultramarine, a shade of blue, it maters not the "gender" of the colour, the poster-boys are blue because of their name
interesting enough when 40k first came out one of the Space Marine chapters was called The Rainbow Warriors which had a rainbow stripe color palette yet they haven't been seen/heard from in lore or on the table top in quite sometime now
Deathwatch is very unique as its made up of space marines from all the loyalist chapters and once had almost all of the blackshields - these are space marines that were still loyal that were members of the traitor legions they would ritually paint over their armors chapter icon in black while renouncing all ties to their former brothers and primarch often taking a vow of silence afterwards. Deathwatch are the alien hunting experts of the space marines and the one you would send in on tasks like fighting their way thru a tyranid hive fleet motherbeast/ship to plant a gene-virus into the Norn Queens egg sacks etc
"U came to 40k and liked dudes with guns?"
"Yes."
"Compassion is reserved for servants of the Emperor: aliens deserve only our scorn!"
I love at the inquisition part just watch the chat go feral with TTS quotes
Its good to see mother go from a mammal to an insect and still living life that good❤

bricky: that's the big thing they wanna kill (POINTS EXACTLY AT XENO STREAMER)
@04:36 Why does it look like every illustration of an Adeptus Arbites look like they are on the verge of yelling "I AM THE LAW!"?
I'm a Guard player, though I can appreciate the more exotic tastes of other players. It's what makes the setting so wacky and wonderful to observe!
I feel like Guard and the other factions really complement each other, aesthetically, though.
Guard gives a clear yardstick for other factions to compare against, showing how clearly amazing they are. Otherwise, the most natural yardstick would be the setting's poster boys, the Ultramarines, but they are post-human supersoldiers with redundant hearts, wearing tanks, and firing fully automatic grenade launchers. It wouldn't be as obvious how tough the Ork is, or how precise the Eldar, or how powerful the guns of the Necron legions.
And then, by going up against these terrors as baseline humans with less impressive technology, the Guard get to show off their grit.
Bricky likes Buff "everyday" Dudes

Cadia stands! The planet broke before the Guard did!
My fav legion is are the lementors as there just some yellow bois eternally down on there luck.

The Mechanicus: MAKE PEE NIS IN TO ROBOT
Bricky play both guard and sisters. Along with Salamanders and Night Lords...
To nitpick his description of the Mechanicus, the AdMech believe that the Emperor IS the Omnissiah, with the Omnissiah being more akin to Jesus in the Cult Mechanicus. He's an aspect of the Machine God, but not the Machine god itself.
The tyrannids don’t have individual personalities, they’re all connected to a single hivemind that hates everyone and everything.
That’s why my favorites are the Necrons, who directly counter them (at least lorewise).
One miniscule thing. It's actually not the Astronomican that drew the Tyranids in. TL;DR: Something very big exploded and acted as a flash bang that alerted the Tyranids.
Antenna-Milk
Matara seems to be on the right track in terms of books to be reading for getting the feel of WH40K.
Brichard Orchidaceae οκτώ is a very enjoyable man, adding vtuber to that makes it better, would build Matara themed Tyranids
The ultramarines are the poster bois because blue is an easy colour to pat
DONT YOU BE DISSIN' MY GUARD BOIS
Ultramarines being the poser boys has a lore reason too, in short: they are the most numerous
You can find maps in various core rulebooks from various editions
Find it pretty cool that you asked him for permission if you can react to it.
Ultramarines / Legion XIII are the poster boys because of Our Spiritual Liege Matt Ward.
I'll have to correct you on who the Emperor's favourite was, Horus himself said that Sanguinius was big Ë's favourite, but he himself was most fitting for title of Warmaster. Source is the End and the Death vol. 1.
Fun Fact: The average lifespan of a guardsman in battle is 15 minutes.
Gotta make them worth on the battlefield.
So the tyranids were already on their way to the galaxy, they just started making a bee line for terra when they entered the galaxy and detected the astronomicon
