Yeah I agree with your opinion.. recently I just watched a video about jungkook with emotionless expression while the other group perform.. and they start judging that jungkook's behavior was disrespectfull... COME ON GUYS.. jungkook was a human.. and every idols too.. so let them alone.. when he got excited about girlgroup performance some people start talking as if he dating one of those girlgroup member.. but when he just sit silently some people thinks that is rude.. True. When I saw comments about how Jimin ran away from Charlie when he sat beside him I felt s bit offended (I know it might be a joke but still...). I only saw that its sweet of him that he stayed beside him for a little while to keep him company and even talked to him a bit until he knew RM will arrive soon.
The car conversation reminded me of something Jin said. In a recently released DVD, BTS were asked to mention moments where they felt proud of Army and Jin's answer was "when they not only cheer for us but also for other artists who are performing". What you said gave even more context to his answer. Clearly even the artists themselves feel embarassed if their fans only cheer for them and no one else.

from 39:08 to the end of the video: I agree with everything you guys said. People should learn how to respect artists other than their favorite one. It's rude to constantly shout your bias name even when there's other group performing or even receiving award. That part about the 'zoo' was so true! The moment they walk in there are cameras on them until they walk out. It's terrible and I admire all of the idols who has to put up with all of this.

I always feel so torn when watching tons of BTS videos etc and I wouldn't know how to act at an award show like this, because on one hand, I love these guys from the bottom of my heart despite not knowing them personally and I want to know so much about them, but on the other hand I'd feel so guilty because I'm invading their privacy and they deserve as much of a normal life as possible, but on the other other hand they kinda signed up for this by becoming Idols, but then again, the fact that loosing your privacy is part of making this kind of music is pretty disturbing.

After your comment at the end of the video I started to feel soo bad for all idols not only BTS. It must be horrible when cameras are constantly focused at you and you have to keep a perfect act. Especially the girls, their reactions are always seen much more critical and people analyse every little detail they do. Idols can't even scratch their nose without being conscious about it. What if they had a small stone in their shoe that even hurts? They can't just take their shoes off when literally hundreds of people are looking at them.
I could *never* be an idol. I hate getting attention, I hate being social, I hate having to talk to people but that's what they do every day always. I feel pity but mostly loads of respect for them. I hope it doesn't get too much on them.

The fanboying was really funny, and then I got to the end of the video. You are right, fame isn't all that it seems to be. I like that you did not sugarcoat the fandom culture of Korea. It’s been that way for years and years and I wonder why it’s been accepted by society. Idols are human too, they are not animals or non living things that other people can own and manipulate. I know BTS is exhausted but I’m pretty sure they are well taken care by their agency more than other idols do but still BTS are still human and have emotions.. I just wish them good health (physically, emotionally and mentally), coz based from what you explained they really need it a lot.. lots of love for BTS coming from all international armys..

I like it when you voice out what kind of life idols literally have and how fans react to them on stage. They have to act normal even if they aren't okay deep inside. It's really hard trying to ignore all those people around you and just focus on putting on your best face in front of them. Every move is being shot by the camera and recorded, so they need to be careful on everything around them. Yeah, it's never easy to be an idol.
It was seriously so sad to watch that kind of stuff. I wish they could be natural and with no pressure at least when theyre not on stage.

Yeah being an idol is not easy at all. And now a controversy started when Jungkook didn't react well to Twice performance. Some army say jungkook is disappointed with his performance with charlie puth. Jungkook just looked really worried after that performance.
@@imthedanial yeah, I saw jungkook spacing out while seated, maybe he's thinking about it. When I watched their performance, I could feel his nervousness or maybe something bothered him. Then dkdk mentioned about fans shouting at Charlie to seat down, am I right? It sad that korean fans are sometimes so cruel to other idols just because they don't like them. 😟

Someone finally called out the crap in the k-pop fandom. THANK YOU.
Don't get me wrong; I LOVE k-pop (and BTS) but the way the idols are treated by their fans (or anti-fans) is just too much. It's okay to be the most loyal fan of your group, but don't disrespect other groups or tear them down. You can even be a fan of more than one group at a time, even if they're considered rival groups by fans on both sides. You can have your opinion but be kind about it. You don't like that group? That's fine. You don't like BTS? It's all good. You think your group is better? That's fair.
You don't have to be a fan of everyone but that doesn't excuse bad behavior or disrespect.
And just because you love your group doesn't mean you harass them. That's not love, that's illegal. They're people too and they deserve respect. I honestly don't understand why it's so hard for fans to show a little decency and respect to their idols, fellow fans, and fans of other groups. Show some humanity.
Okay, rant over. Thank you, DKDKTV for reminding us that as a fandom, we've got a long way to go.
Excellent point and I couldn't agree more. I'm Mom ARMY (i.e. old but enjoying it with my daughter) so my original group is Super Junior. It was a big shock to me when K-ELF came out so hard against a member (Sungmin) for getting married. He was just forced out. International fans had zero say. I want to respect cultural differences, but more and more, I feel like it gets taken waaaayyy too far.

Yep I don't see anything special about foreigners or idols as they are and should be treated equally as us.
Especially when right now I have more than 15 Korean classmates and my God are some koreaboos desperate to befriend them for obvious intentions. No wonder I'm closer to them than they are since I treat them like anyone else (well also because we have same interests).
Sure having foreigners or famous people as friends are exciting but at the end of the day they're not different from you, They're only getting special treatment because of the fans not because they have to.

I really appreciate your real talk at the end. You explored some hard truths that aren’t brought up a lot. I would hate to be watched and yelled at 24/7. That would be so suffocating and it’s really sad to see. I really hope fans take more notice of this issue and be more respectful toward all artists. This also makes a lot of sense to me as to why BTS prohibited cameras from their concerts. They want people to enjoy the moment and experience it with them so it’s more real

Its all about saving face and its a little tiring... We're not children(well most of us), theyre not children, so if you say something actually mean it. Because most of them would take it all back if they actually listened to them when they tell bts to take breaks even the moment they return from a break or perform less, visit less countries, shorten the tour, sleep as long as they want, etc etc. If they truly want them to do what they want, they should be happy with that, if not just enjoy what we get and support them to the fullest.

Somehow watching this made me realize the extent to which other kpop groups performances are not as engaging to the audience or dynamic as BTS’ performances, and I genuinely don’t mean this in a bad way like I stan lots of other groups, and it’s precisely because I want them to see success that I think they need to learn from the caliber and sheer awe that BTS’ performances induce. From the sets to the outfits to the members themselves and how they express themselves all of it together creates this very hype and grand show like the only way to put it is that they PUT ON A SHOW while other groups put on what feels more like a demonstration of all the practice they’ve done. There is nothing inherently bad about that and I love watching those performances too but it gets old after a while and I can’t watch too many performances of the same comeback because it starts to blend whereas BTS performances are each super distinct and have like a little special candy in each performance and u feel like it’s different and special each time.
They all looks so real in this fancam, it feels like I am watching then for real😭

i came across this video after 2 years and it's a different feeling to watch BTS thru the eyes of fans ....and how they react for real .when talking normally...this video was fun and i felt like i was watching them for real...its just nice to see them talking normally outside interviews and scripted shows.
Your last comments make me so concerned for artists especially the k artists... they are paraded and have to sit for hours at an awards show being watched, taken photos of and yelled at and still having to maintain a certain posture and act unbothered when they are probably very overwhelmed.. it made me feel very suffocated... they must be so lonely
