The more i learn about this game, the less I mind the chibi model. I hope the story is good and isn’t afraid to touch on darker topics. I’m not a big fan of fanservice, but if the story is good I can ignore it. Can’t wait to try the game!
My dude those crazy cut scenes make me think they have another morale system like sanity. Like maybe the longer you take on a stage or the more you use the same heroes the more their sanity decreases until you break. Wpuld be a cool mechanic to diverse team building. And maybe they might even have perma death
E7's track are still very good though, imo, some are actually even amazing I would say. But I mean it's just a sample there ahah. I hope game won't release later than Q1 2025 pls XD
E7 has chibi models (think last years e7 anniversary with sandbag storyline). I think this is executed more tastefully, art that is on par with their best work, and interesting game mechanics. Focusing one aspect you don’t like to determine a whole game’s aesthetic is undercutting overall value. Looking forward to seeing more, there’s so much depth alamd polish already before launch
E7 prologue and episode 1 were pretty crude at times. In the prologue, everyone dies kinda brutal deads while E1 has some very crude and cruel moments like the Suin being turned into darkstones and whatnot.

the chibi is not so chibi that i usually hate like blue archive. i hate chibi is because 2D model look so different from the chibi and one of them is because the head and body is so hecking wide and the head ratio that is wider and almost as tall as the body.
Because there are multiple type of chibis, 1 head (body is same size than head), 2 heads, 2,5 and 3 heads. some other variations but it's mostly these. The more "heads" the greater the details :p

@Tazer_Silverscar I'm not saying anything will happen to Epic Seven. Super Creative made E7 as their first game. This is their second. Like how Destiny Child was Shift Ups first and NIKKE is the second. It's exciting to see a new project by a studio you love.
I like chibi but im super spoiled by e7's sprite work. Reminds me somewhat of vanillaware. The cutscene transitions are somehat a little inconsistent for my tastes tho. Would've just preffered skill animations instead, kind of like disgaea or cutscenes maintaining chibi presence like super robot wars.
