I am not especially what you would call a religious man nor entirely sure how I got here. But sometimes the words of a good man can ring out like a clarion call. Be good, be respectful , be supportive, care …. Be better. Religious or not I will strive to be more like this man.
Well said and glad you made it here. And there's so much more! As Pres. Nelson said, "the gospel net is the largest net in the world. God has invited all to come unto Him, 'black and white, bond and free, male and female.' There is room for everyone."

I was listening to this again and received a prompting that I should not contend with myself, or belittle myself, or hold a grudge against myself. We should have compassion for ourselves just as much for others, methinks. :)😊

Agreed, you cannot treat yourself worse than you treat others because you are an "other" to others too.
The person you hate the most, you also love the same as the person you love the most. Sadly I have this to be true. Many times we think we love people, but oh how soon we turn on them when they act like our enemies.
Love all. Give God your allegiance and serve others for Him, not them. Then, if they spurn you, they spurn the Lord, as you are on His errand. Then your bowels will be filled with mercy for them, as you will never feel like they owe you.... but that they owe Him. That will make you want to love them even more...

This talk SHOOK ME TO THE CORE. Every word, every point, every story a resounding call to follow Jesus Christ. I thank Thee, O God, for my prophet.
After saying negative words in our family group chat, I watched this video and felt ashamed. Thank you my dear Prophet for reminding me how to act and think accordingly. Listening to and watching your messages help me and remind me who I am and what I should do.
Part of the problems of today is we’re more reactive than proactive. We let out feelings get the best of us.

I’m going to be an example of spreading the Spirit of the Lord in a world filled with so much contention and vulgarity. Fire does not kill fire, anger does not drive out anger, hate does not stop hate.
I come back to this talk over and over again because my biggest goal is to become a peacemaker. I never heard a conference talk as inspiring as this one, mainly because it is something that I can entirely learn from. I'd recon President Nelson covered almost the whole entire gospel in this talk if you really break it down, which I have been doing. I encourage all of you that may see this comment to listen, annotate, and pray about this talk, I am already seeing changes in my life by doing these steps. Jesus is the Christ, He is my Redeemer and my great empathizer. I thank Heavenly Father every prayer for Him. There is no one better than Christ to learn from, there is no one else that can relate to your trials, feelings, etc. than Christ. I love President Nelson and I love this talk!

For the past 3 months i have been intensively reading and studying general conference talks and i say this is the most powerful talk i have ever heard. It has changed my line of thinking and action. #i will do better and be better 💯

You're statement is proof positive of his divine apostleship. A prophet always gives the message the world needs at the very hour it needs it!
A man who walks his talk. A First Presidency who are peacemakers. What makes this message powerful and worthy of my full attention and implementation is the righteous example of the man delivering it. God is so good to us ❤

I greatly love President Nelson. He is an extremely loving and kind man and is the President of Jesus Christ's Church today. All anger, violence, hatred, division and war are of the devil and not of Jesus Christ.

@@Ultra-Weeb-Duck Thank you for your loyalty in speaking these words of kindness towards our loving, kind Prophet, isn't he amazing at almost100 how he stands so tall, look at his shoulders broad and no slumping and speaks with perfect clarity.
Pray for our leaders, Brethren and sister's. This is not a peaceful loving society that we live in and many feel unfounded disrespect for those who bear testimony of our Savior.

This is a sermon I will return to daily. Needed this reminder. I have had my terrible moments (not quite as dangerous as the surgeon's, but perhaps just as damaging...but to the spirit). I want to emulate President Nelson, because he indeed emulates Christ.

Charity is the answer .. but it requires sacrifice… painful sacrifices… it requires hard work .. and doing the work of reaching understanding with someone … it requires letting go and allowing others to slander your good name without inserting your ego It requires setting and keeping healthy boundaries with yourself and others … it requires letting God prevail …
What he said on dialog and decency was so accurate. There’s so much arguing and disagreements in the world today. I’m happy he’s reminding us to take a step back and improve.

A message for our time.
We hate the truth. How difficult it is to follow the council of the prophet, but how great the reward.
Hearing this talks yells to me that President Nelson is the true prophet and the prophet we need today. I know we don't have "best prophets" as all are great and true. But Nelson hits so close to home everything he talks even if it's telling me that I need to change.
Imagine what the world would look like if everyone listened and understood this message's truthfulness and blessings.

I really love (President Russell M Nelson) talked about being a "PEACEMAKER"..this is what this country really needs. Everyone should listen and communicate with others and become great peacemakers in the neighborhoods and even as a members of this gospel..of (Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints) I think it's important message to be informed and, passed out to others.. I am a strong and faithful member in Africa who has faced the extreme of unrelentless persecution from certain members of the Church, Character assassination, false rumour, evil speaking, relentless accusations, hate, loud laughter etc.... All this emanating from leaders who embezzled/misused my tithing donations and cheated the Church systems to cover up by deception. To this day, they have boasted of this, destroyed my name and sought by all means to get rid of me. Only God's grace and prayer has strengthened me,..... I need help to endure the persecution.

We need to bring the light of Christ , the unconditional love of Christ to the world and that is going to bring Heaven to Earth. The love of Jesus is unconditional, He never judges us. Jesus Christ is a happy Being and He wants us to experience happiness. Thanks President Nelson for this beautiful message.
Ummm no. God is not merely love but a balance of mercy and judgement that are love.
Not true? Do you read his words? He is judging us constantly, although he loves us. We will be held accountable and punished for our sins if we do not FORSAKE THEM and follow him. Jesus is not a “teddy bear”. When he returns it will be with power and justice! Not just soft love?

Justice is God's job. All we have to do is allow Him through; allow Him to do it. But God can't work through us if we are contaminated (by evil thoughts and deeds). That is why WE have to be peaceful and all the other good stuff.

No person, no thing, or no situation is worth giving up my or your eternity over. I love this talk. I needed it and have listened to it about 4 times, now. This will be my "go to" talk to listen to before I will be around violent-tempered people. This will help me thwart their verbal attacks. I realize that I can't take it personally. Their valiant spirit has become a violent spirit because Satan has a hold on them. Pray fervently for them. Pray for their hearts to soften. Pray for your own heart to soften. Pray for Divine Intervention.

Love thy neighbor as thyself and pray for one another that you maybe healed to have humility to have love in your heart to have patience in times of difficulty to be strong and have good courage not to fear because Christ in courage is us with this and if they are different of opinion respect each don't compete and don't get into a a quarrel but be patient and kind this was a very good talk thank you president Nelson we all have to be this way with one another whether we are LDS or not God bless
An inspired voice has spoken with clarity. Peacemakers are needed. President Nelson has vividly defined the world wide need and the Christ centered solution. Jesus Christ has the power to lift us to a better way of life.
