Malice:1999 discussion from Alpha:2012 convention

It's 2021 and I'm just now watching this convention, has anyone considered having the META PROBE reaching it's intended destination after moonbase alpha passed by it? just an idea since in series the meta probe was never seen nor spoken of since the breakaway episode.

I love Malice 1999 too! But I thought the speed of the moon away from Earth was faster than any present-day spacecraft -- including the Meta Probe.
