OK-how can I help? The Window just constrains the pitch range, Fold/Wrap just controls what happens when the pitch reaches the edge of the window, and Chaos is just an additional built in LFO which you can dial in to influence the pitch in a different way.
@@tiny333333 Its the part of the system which constrains the highest and lowest pitch (i.e. CV Out) that Strange produces. Remember that the main Strange Algorithm is adding or substracting some value from the last value it produced. Taking a really simple example, just +ve ρ (so joystick right and nothing else) increases the internal value of the algorithm on each clock. The CV Out voltage will then increase with this but while the algorithm value can just keep going up, the voltage cannot because eventually of course it will just hit the max available voltage module can output. We therefore have to decide what happens: it could either just 'cap' the algorithm and sit on 8v or whatever, or it could alter the algorithm output, which is actually what happens. Fold means it reflects (so if the physical limit is 8v then the algorithm output what would have produced a volt over this, gets reflected to produce a volt under, so 7v, and you get the triangle). Wrap means when it hits the upper limit it wraps round to the lower, so 0v, giving the saw. The window itself, which is what you're asking about, is the actual range of values within which that happens, so instead of being constrained by the physical limit of the module's output (0-8v) it's set by you to be some value within that (say 3-5v). That's generally much more useful for melodic work as melody tends to be fairly constrained in range. You can see that happening around 00:20 in this video. Does that make sense?
I am in awe. 👏
Well I understood less of that than the last video which I didnt understand ❤

I’m only teasing x 🎉
@@stochasticinstrumentswhat is a window ?

@@stochasticinstrumentsyes thank you ❤ it will make sense more when I can play with one myself 😊
