Accessing the Mendenhall Glacier on Foot | Summer 2023

Yes, this is a little bit skewed toward the family home video end of the spectrum of TH-cam content, but after putting together this video of my niece, nephew and me exploring the Mendenhall Glacier last week, I thought there might be some interest in seeing what it currently takes to access the ice on foot. Three minutes probably can't communicate the full price of the seven hour adventure, but neither can it show the value of taking family or friends to experience this wild landscape for the first time.

Yes, next time! What trails were you able to run or hike while you were here?

@@KentMearig DId East, the Airport Nature trail, and Down from the Tram. Had 2 other really nice runs around downtown and Douglas early before the crowds got too bad. Others I wanted to try to fit in were Herbert Glacier and Salmon Creek dam. Hadn't done either since I was in middle school or earlier
