Sato is freezable probably due to this achievement, where you need to kill him without him ever activating his acts.

I very much agree with a lot of your takes in this video, but here are some of mine:
-the wardens kinda do feel much more complicated as compared to the other enemies, but that kinda adds a lot to its character. I don't find the fact that warden has some exclusive tiles and traits to be that big of a factor at making alt path bad. Warden changes the play style a fair bit, and I love that, since it can start attacking even if it is not exposed to the player via summons, something that shielder does, but the shielder is annoying asf imo, and warden does it better. But that's just my opinion.
    - striders are enemies that are solid on their own, but compared to gateway path, are disappointing. However, I disagree that striders or guardians are too similar to ashigarus, since the former change the playstyle quite a lot, with guardians making stalling harder and striders being a threat if multiple surround you at once. However, striders are generally meh, imo.
Also I think you made a mistake in the vid. You stated there is only 1 new enemy introduced in gateway, when there are 2. Moreover, I consider blight chargers as part of wardens rather than being a separate enemy on its own; I don't think forsaken grounds does over-introduction of enemies at all
    - yeah, fumiko doesn't really do anything extraordinary
    - imo, kabukai are fundamentally flawed. The game needs to have an entire player deck checking system to make the theatre of illusions more easy or difficult according to the deck. This is because ranged tiles are always going to be better than melee ones, at least in terms of the enemy. On paper, it's cool, but it falls quite a lot in execution
-PLEASE ADD UNFREEZABLE TO SATO, MIRKO! SHORTEST PLAY WOULD BE SO MUCH MORE FUN AND ENGAGING WITH IT

You're right I made a mistake, I forgot shielders exist lmao
And the ashigaru thing, you say guradians and striders mix up things but what about the ashigaru itself? Its really outclassed by them, and is just a worse version adding nothing

@apokalypse69 the ashigaru... Is a weaker version of them for the early game? Striders and guardians early on would be annoying asf. Also, it's not the shielder that gets introduced, it's the shinobi
