What a sonic assault this album was. Saw them live when touring for this album. What an amazing wall of sound.... one of the most energetic and amazing live performances I've ever attended.
This album's sucha blast! Still love it! Saw them on that tour in Europe on a small Belgian festival which was a bust. Their set was the best and most energetic of the fest. Went to their signing session. Rich and Brian (Liesegang) who was in the band then sitting there. First thing they said to me was "loose the shirt, man". I was wearing a NIN Downward Spiral shirt 😮😆😆 good laughs with them guys..Rich signed back of my ticket with "loose the shirt, man" with his autograph 😂 sadly lost that during the years and moving from one country to another but true story. In those days Rich and Trent Reznor weren't on good terms. Wether he was sacked from NIN, asked to leave, or Rich left NIN after being disillusioned with Trent. One or the other... They're back on good terms long after but back then it was an explosive mess.. whatever. Really liked Filter's heaviness of more guitar oriented industrial, sequencer based alt rock. They did a very good job with first 3-4 albums. The new tour and album this year should be awesome again! Always loved that high pitched Rich scream. Powerful one in a million voice!

I saw fuck them. I usually like underground music too but I think albums like this Filter album are great and should be respected. Popularity shouldn’t really matter.
@ericbrocious6047, So once the mainstream starts enjoying your music as well as "the underground," you lose respect? That makes no sense. Based on that bizarre logic, since the mainstream fell in love with Nirvana after their video, "Smells Like Teen Spirit" constantly aired on MTV back in the day, Nirvana was no longer respected by "the underground" as well?
Yeah it was all just a press conference nothing special about it until we saw Budd Dwyer shoot himself in the head and the blood started gushing people say he may not have been as guilty as everyone said but he wasn't going to wait for a trial it was pretty unfortunate for everyone involved it just shows us that anyone can snap if pushed too far

This exemplifies the gritty raw nature of music in the mid 90s post grunge era. 🤘🤙
Grunge era was still going strong. Filter is just one of a kind.

One of the best industrial rock albums ever made and Filter’s best album by far

@@LesGarrett who is and why?
Hey man, nice shot!
Ha, thanks Bro
Yeh it’s great album .. the first 3 albums are all really good
Gerbil is a slow rolling builder with a banging chorus too...
If they didn’t have a couple mainstream hits they would’ve gotten a lot more respect from the underground which they truly deserve. Great record.
