I loved it 🥰 Yes, ML acted like an arse in the beginning BUT he didn’t order for ML to be punished as they eventually punished her. He was not a womanizer which is a major turnoff and from the moment he fall in love with her personality and attitude, he became ride or die for her. He gave her space to do as she pleased and won her forgiveness. What I really, REALLY loved is that he was bad at the beginning but the rest of the drama was constant groveling after FL. Definitely rewatch! ❤❤❤❤
This is a great drama! Everyone's done a fantastic job who worked on it! 40:00 - 50:00 really tugged at my heart strings. I haven't finished, and this story, acting, script, and setting really keep one watching. 1:37:00 I'm glad I've read Eastern novels for the past 5 or 6 years to understand what he meant. That letter made me cry hard for real. I'm honestly shedding tears right now. He basically said they were married for 2 years and called himself a little selfish. He was thankful he got to experience having a happy marriage and loving wife. But fate is cruel, and he knew what he wanted was wishful thinking since he was dying. And as he said before, he hopes she lives well. Because remember when he was dying he honestly hoped she would remarry because she deserves a happy life and loving husband.
I feel bad for SML.... He really loves SFL.... And even died 😭 ..... ML also loves her but as a Crown Prince he have alot of things to do and see.... In Reality if someone from Royal Family likes someone they'll take them as their bed companion or concubines. Its same here he fell in love with her and wants her to love him... Refreshing story line up for me. At least something relatively new. While some are disappointed with the well-known "she goes back to the scumbag who humiliated her so much", yet this one was different for me. First, while he was the main cause for her 3-year miseries, he didn't inflict them on her knowingly. And the scene when he is genially shocked to find out how his mindless blind hate and arrogance hurt her is very fitting. He barely remembered the poor girl he dismissed so casually in front of all. Second, she didn't forgive him easily and never gave him any way out. Only in the last seconds she openly declares to give him the second chance. Partly because she can use her position to change things and because she sees that she can't be stuck forever in hate and grievances and should give herself some hope. And I liked how he gradually won her trust and affection not in the dumb way but through genuine concern and wit. Yes, there're also many usual "domineering" dreadful Chinese ropes as well, but RELATIVELY it was a pretty decent and satisfying watch.
Holy crap I love this actor in costume dramas. If I were a teen who had hung up posters, my wall would have been covered with this actor. Alas, I’m 56. So I just watch him in shows, then immediately go look for other shows with him in them. And others. My teen self never guessed she’d one day be a 56 year old with a major crush. lol

It’s not as superficial as the classic scumbag chasing his ex kind of drama. This drama has a bit more depth than the usual one. Truly suggest you watch the whole thing as the remaining part sheds more light on the background of both leads and even the supporting roles!

The drama itself a little boring. ML destroys FL life after he regrets it. He is not a classic scumbag guy, he has his reasons. He fells in love with FL sincerely but even with that I would vote for SML, he is the only one who deserved FL.
A must watch because of all the emotional roller coasters we get. This is a bit better than the 5 minutes a man tries to atone at the end of the drama so eventually he softened my heart unlike when i say ahe should have left😂 yes i fell for the trap too like the FL.
