A 20kW generator at 95% efficiency will convert 17.6kW rotary power into 16.7kW electrical power .. A loss of 3.3kW just to convert and turn things. This doesn't include the losses from belts, wiring, heat, bearings, changing rotation directions, flywheel aerodynamic drag ..

If all this is true we can improve it a lot
put for example on the same line of shaft the generator the motor and the flywheel which would suppress the friction of the pulleys with possibly a magnetic drive.
to put all this in a sealed box and draw a primary vacuum to limit friction due to the air. and can be the inexpensive graffen matterials instead of copper in the windings have the superconducting properties are interesting to limit the losses in line
Direct coupling wont work, as this set-up has to play with the Inertia of the fly wheel. Keep up the good work. We cant complain on free power.
The generator requires higher rpm than the flywheel hence the need to step up the ratio with a bigger pulley. Direct coupling with flywheel wont work.

Volante de inércia tem um bom peso ,eu acreditei no vídeo . Já vi esse sistema em dobradora de Chapa de mais de 10 mm , o torque é do volante de inércia , mais o volante perde mais dá metade da potência e o motor elétrico faz subir novamente , todo o sistema é muito pesado .

Should interchange the placement of the alternator and the electric motor, with this setup it could be right with just for light bulbs, but when load is applied like those electric grinder, and with high wattage load it will be felt heavy in the part of the alternator...😁 Torque reduction is applied inversely with this set up

This will last for only 10-15 mins because there is frictional loss of energy in the pulleys so when there is not enough energy in the fly wheel this will automatically stop operating
This could actually work but with very very little energy output. The more amps drawn from the generator the more torque required from the motor so after a few minutes it will stop
Id you replace the large flywheel with sprocket's or cogs and bicycle or motorcycle chains and keep oiled and a tentioner pulley with voltage regulators and displays on both motor and alternator as well as covering the pulley systems and piping in the electrical wiring and placing boxes where electrical wiring junctions are made up this would work better and to spruce it up have deep cell marine battery backed up with AC to dc converter with regular or a AC to dc inverter with a trickle charger with cooling fans this will work for many many years with proper maintenance
