I was at this show. My first time seeing them live. It was spectacular. They were LOUD but crystal clear. It’s amazing how tight this band is with such technically challenging time changes.
Absolutely. I couldn’t hear properly after the show two weeks ago. So loud omg. You’re right about how together and tight they sound. I saw them 22 years ago and nothings changed. Still awesome, still mind blowing. Wow 🤩
@@blamtagious It was everything I hoped for and then some. Somehow, I did not know about Tool until a couple years ago. I'm a 62 year old reformed drummer and I just absolutely love the way these guys play with time changes and make it look so effortless. It's difficult to explain to those that have never played an instrument on a piece of music with times other than standard 4/4 just how incredibly complex and difficult this music is. There are sections in Invincible where each musician is playing in a different time and then they bring it back together. Unbelievable. Each song is a stunning accomplishment. (I'm embellishing a bit, but not much.) I was looking forward to seeing them play live and it did not disappoint. The audience was on their feet the entire show.
@@logiman I’m so happy you found them and embellish away! I could gush over and romanticize their music for days. I can’t imagine what they must sound like to you with a keen ear for patterns and technique. My knowledge of theory is very basic at best so I can’t explain what’s happening. I just know when they play Descending for example my mind freaking soars haha. What’s your favorite album at the time?
Ballsy of you to have done this, but I’m grateful this is here so I can relive it in some way if I so please. I’ve seen Tool three times and this was the best concert of theirs I’ve seen so far
You essentially had the same comment i did, it is so real. 4th time i’ve seen them and definitely the best beside bermingham in 2019 when they teased the new songs. This one was AMAZING
I still remember the 1st time I heard tool, I've been hooked ever since! I'm 53 and been to more than 200 concerts this is by far the most amazing live show I have ever seen! The hairs on my arms stood at attention the entire 3hrs!!! I was so afraid that I was never going to be able to see them live. I can now check it off my bucket list. How fuckin badass it is to start off 2024 with such an amazing concert. Thank you to the band for blowing my mind!
First time seeing them in an arena (seen them at a festival back in September), best show I will probably ever go to. I also went to ATL tonight (show after Nashville) as well. Only thing that will ever top that night was if I were to see them again and they play Ænema. There’s a few other songs I’d like to see as well, but they’re songs they haven’t played since the Lateralus days or even before, so those would probably never happen.
@@lainez... yessir. That was the first time they had opened with The Grudge in FOREVER if I’m not mistaken. That was a hell of a show, the arena shows are just special in a different way
I never did concerts when I was younger. This was the last one on my “Holy Trinity” of musicians (Trent Reznor, Tori Amos, and Maynard James Keenan). I bought tickets for my brother and myself. It was the LOUDEST concert I’ve attended and I don’t regret a second.
Thank you for posting this! I was really wanting to go to this show but sadly couldn’t make it, tool is definitely one of my top bands and will definitely be a priority on my list of concerts that I need to go to. I wasn’t sure how good this show would be, but after watching this, I’m counting the days till they come back
The guitar solo went crazy hard in The Grudge. Will admit i wish Maynard could still hit the 36 second scream, but then again hes been doing it a long ass time so il cut him some slack lol
To be fair, I don't think he's ever hit the whole 25 seconds live (it's not 36), I've looked and never found one anyway. There are some that are almost 20 seconds but most are around 10-15 seconds live. It seems to still depend on the day though. The Nashville one seemed particularly short.
@Philsen-rk5ch oh wow, I was at the Charlotte show right before this, but didn't notice the snare boom during the live show that night. Went back to check the recording and there it is. Thx.
Wow!! That's so awesome! I saw them at MSG on Saturday. I would have loved Forty six & 2 and Schism on the same night. This was my 5th time seeing them over the last 30 years so I have seen those songs before but they are two of my favorite. Tool is just the best live band ever!!
@alexsandereastmond7036 I think my favorite was either Lollapalooza or Ozzfest back in the 90's. Definitely the reason I have seen them several times since! I look forward to seeing them again! Hopefully the rumor that they are putting out new music near the end of 2024 is true🤞 That will mean another tour!!

I was at this show and I am still fucking mind blown how good they sound if you haven’t seen tool live yet DO IT you’ll never forget that day

I was there for the Nashville show too! Seeing them live did something to me no other live show has achieved before. Completely blown away

Such an awesome show! Was there with my daughter and we both thoroughly enjoyed it!! Her first Tool show my 5th. Proud dad moment.

You're the goat for posting this. I was @ this show & my jaw was dropped the whole show!
Such an amazing show last night. Will be seeing tool again.
I saw them several times in the late 90s. I'll be honest, they were better tonight then they were then even!
I was there as well! Seen them 11 times since they came back out on tour in 2019! Last night was epic! Thanks for the post!
I was down in section 3 on the floor. It was a awesome show!! My third time seeing them.
Man!!! Thank you so much!!

that's cool that they want to do most of their latest album but are they saving a epic setlist for a final or any other tour sometime?
Could be

Did a drum explode at 1:10:31 ?
the sound techs add an effect on the snare at this particular moment every time they play the grudge
Might have been my head exploding from the experience 😂
