Maybe I’m dumb but focusing plant is not a bad idea. If your team mates don’t help you there’s nothing you can do about that. Still do your support role and use comms to try to get help if possible.
This season I have a 1.6 (close to 1.7 K/D) in Emerald 2. I usually average around 1.2/1.3 tho. I basically never soloQ, which definitely helps a lot and I also play different roles depending on who I play with or what my team wants to do. I definitely agree tho that K/D doesn't say much about how good you are at the game, since there's so much more going into it ^^ Edit: Also the fact you said 0.8 K/D players are the best mates there are is the realest shit I've heard in ages lmao Perfect mix of "I can shoot my gun, but I don't give a shit if you bait me for a round win"
As a 0.9 literally couldn't be further from the truth, except the op picks (I love wardens run animation) but I get so TILTED when someone saves themselves in a round for their K/D and im not good enough to bait
As someone who always starts the season as a 1.2kd and gradually decreases to 0.8kd, you described me pretty well. I main Buck/Ace or Mute/Doc but I play whoever is needed and usually plays support.
1.1 while playing mostly support and anchors like Osa, Gridlock, Nomad or Azami, Fenrir, Thorn; With Osa in particular I accept that I will die a majority of rounds but it opens up opportunities for the entries & guns behind me when half the defenders are looking at me!
I'm a IGL with a 1.1 in console diamond And at least on console one thing I would like to add is that the people with a 0.9 to 1.0 refuse to talk More specifically they refuse to tell you what they're planning for the round they just kind of pick an operator run into the building die and complain loudly. If you want my advice at the beginning of every round just talk to each other a little and try to come up with a plan. Five people following five different plans will always lose to 5 people following the same stupid plan. Even if the plan sucked as long as you're all committing to it. It should be better than 90% of the player base that's either solo queuing or is in a three stack.
i have a 1.72 K/d atm i used to play a few years ago on xbox all the time and last year i got a pc and over the last month i decided to get siege on PC and pick it back up. i think my knowledge of maps and positioning has abled me to win gun fights when i still struggle with the amount of keys i now i have XD im level 45 looking forward to starting to grind ranked again. Wow, you are precise. I was 0.8-0.9 K/D with positive W/L for few years just filling in any operator/role that my team was missing, today my (seasonal) K/D floats between 1.1-1.3 with same W/L, but I stick to operators that are universal, like Capitao changing my secondary to whatever is needed.
New player with a 1.2, wanted to make sure I was contributing to my team enough. Nice to know I don't have to worry about it too much. Been having a blast learning the game.
I have a .69 kd but I have a teammate who has a extremely high kd and I usually just support him and he pops kills I sacrifice myself so he could live but then again my kd could be better I also have a considerably low sens but thats perfect for me so I have no idea what I could be doing wrong I believe it's just my friend just killing everyone before I can...
I have a 1.5 kd but I’ve only played 40 games this season. I have this kd because I solo queue and if you die your teammates 90% of the time will not listen or watch defuser. That is why I play careful. This one game on coastline I got plant down 3 rounds with 3 teammates alive. None watched defuser and all swung in the building when they weren’t defusing every round.
Currently sitting .84 KD, I usually play with a mix of Emerald and Diamonds while I sit at High Silver and Low Gold… don’t know what else I can do to move up… it’s weird when I have good games the expected fraggers don’t and it is frustrating

I agree about kd being universally weird. As someone who’s a 1.4kd on pc it means nothing, I will drop a bad game every now and then and it’s normal bc that’s siege, that being said help your team no matter what and don’t blame others for your actions in game.
I’m the second case on 1.4 kd. Year 1 player, Regularly getting plants down, reinforcing and renovating site, clutching 1vx situations and staying active with my team to get trades. I know how absolutely crucial trading is. But sometimes, my gun skill is a bit lacking against some opponents in my w/l which is apparently the same as champs, and I’ve never even hit diamond in ranked 1.0. Gotta love ranked 2.0, but you’re absolutely right Garfield, my k/d is a bit higher now because of this current meta and having the aim placement/game sense to outplay these brain dead idiots.

I'm lvl 200, I used to play a lot of casual when I 1st got my PC a couple years back but I never took the time to learn maps, callouts etc.. I'm just now coming back and trying ranked but I find that I'm struggling in copper. I'm losing to a bunch of strats, angles etc. That Ive never really seen in casual. It's like a completely different game. I usually place in the top 3 in casual usually dropping 4k games and above but in ranked I have a 0.5 k.d
Try different sensitivity’s, spend some time in the shooting range and just try new things, Ive been playing for about a month now and I almost never get kills so your definitely not alone

You saying .9's use teammates as bait to get a kill is hella funny because I've done that a few times since getting into the game lmao. The operators I main on defense are Lesion and Smoke. For Attackers I main Lion, Finka, and Hibana currently.

high kd does matter, but not as much as KPM. kills per match is everything as well as win percentage. if you are a support player one would assume lower kpm with a higher or normal kd with a high win percent. If you think you are a good player then the kpm will show with regards to gun skill. baiting kills all game those people will have a lower win percent and in my experience they have a lower kpm as well.
i play warden because i think warden is a lock down with his abilities he can see through smokes to stop a play and see through flashes and yings to stop rushes his ability is really of if people use him as a lockdown.

I think it matters a little bit, Like my buddy's has an 0.08 in ranked this season. Hes bad, and anyone with that KD certainly is. However, he still is more useful than some ranked teammates with 1.5+ KD. I tend to hover around the 1.6-1.3 range, and am content with my mid emerald rank.

Beta player who took a 3 1/2 year break. 3 days in main was at plat 2 with a 1.4 kd and win loss my Smurf is at a 3.7kd and 1.9 wL with 32 games. Only my 5 wins prerequisite for casual both accs. As of 3/27/24.
During the 3 year gap I didn’t play much other then some warzone here and there where my kd sits at a 2.2 but other then that I mainly just play Skyrim and warframe 😂

I have a 1.5 K/D and I’m hard stuck silver on controller also 100% of the time I drop 10 kills per game and I main doc and ash and I queue up with diamond players.
I was 1.4 kd than I played with my diamond friends and lost 5 games dropped to .98 than I went back to my normal 5 stack and dropped 15kills and 6 deaths won 5 games in a row and still haven’t gone up

Focusing plant is a awful mindset for solo q since your teammates wont help you sadly

I’m a .7 and you are spot on I’m great at backing my team up until it comes to a 1v1 I always buckle I get super nervous even when I’m not in a 1v1

1.2 in Emerald III and i play support. I try to help my team and have 1 2.0 win loss. Am i carried or not? I main on defense Solis, Azami, Smoke and Doc. On attack Ace, Lion, Iana, Buck, Gridlock, Finka. Is this good?

I think it matters a little bit, Like my buddy's has an 0.08 in ranked this season. Hes bad, and anyone with that KD certainly is. However, he still is more useful than some ranked teammates with 1.5+ KD. I tend to hover around the 1.6-1.3 range, and am content with my mid emerald rank.
So I’m not tryna be that guy cuz it’s not actually every time or I’ll admit it’s bad positioning or bad decision making on my part but most the time I just feel like my team is purposely throwing or something cuz they just spawnpeek and throw bodies (I solo q btw) I got a 1.7 kd and a 0.3 w/l 💀😭
Beta player who took a 3 1/2 year break. 3 days in main was at plat 2 with a 1.4 kd and win loss my Smurf is at a 3.7kd and 1.9 wL with 32 games. Only my 5 wins prerequisite for casual both accs. As of 3/27/24.
During the 3 year gap I didn’t play much other then some warzone here and there where my kd sits at a 2.2 but other then that I mainly just play Skyrim and warframe 😂
I got a 0.6 but i usually play ops like montage and clash. to help my teammates i play sole q and win most games
i have a 1.3 been playing since solar raid, plat, but i go against champions i just play smart for the people in my games and am better than most of my friends
I have a 1.5 K/D and I’m hard stuck silver on controller also 100% of the time I drop 10 kills per game and I main doc and ash and I queue up with diamond players.

I was 1.4 kd than I played with my diamond friends and lost 5 games dropped to .98 than I went back to my normal 5 stack and dropped 15kills and 6 deaths won 5 games in a row and still haven’t gone up
